1. Assistant Editor

As an Assistant Editorial, you will be responsible for supporting the editorial team in managing the day-to-day activities of the journal publication process. You will work closely with authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure smooth communication and efficient manuscript processing. Attention to detail and a keen understanding of academic publishing are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of manuscript submissions and reviews.

  • Communicate with authors, reviewers, and editorial staff.

  • Help manage editorial workflows and timelines.

  • Ensure adherence to publication standards and guidelines.

2. Managing Editor

As a Managing Editor, you will oversee the editorial process of our journals from submission to publication. You will manage editorial teams, ensure high-quality standards for content, and maintain smooth operations across multiple publications. This is an exciting leadership role for an experienced publishing professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage editorial workflows, from submission to final publication.

  • Supervise and collaborate with the editorial team to maintain content quality.

  • Work with authors, reviewers, and editors to facilitate communication.

  • Handle administrative tasks related to publication schedules and deadlines.

  • Ensure compliance with COPE publishing guidelines and best practices.

3. Publihser

The Publisher provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for a designated portfolio of Open Access journals and books. This role is central to driving the growth, quality, and financial sustainability of the publishing program. The Publisher is responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision that aligns with the press's mission of advancing scholarly communication through open science. Key areas of focus include journal development, financial performance (including APC management and budget oversight), publisher-author-editor relations, and market positioning. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the assigned portfolio, setting and managing targets for submissions, publications, revenue, and impact.

  • Manage the financial health of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, APC pricing strategy, and ensuring cost-effective operations.

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including editors, editorial board members, society partners, and authors, providing strategic support and ensuring editorial satisfaction.

  • Lead journal development initiatives, such as launching new journals, expanding existing titles, and implementing projects to improve author services, workflow efficiency, and market competitiveness.

  • Monitor and analyze publishing metrics, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions, identify risks and opportunities, and report on portfolio performance to senior management.


4. IT Director 

The IT Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's technology infrastructure, systems, and services. This role is responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, ensuring operational excellence, security, and scalability. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and driving digital transformation initiatives.

  • Oversee all technology operations, including infrastructure, networks, data centers, and enterprise applications, to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth.

  • Manage the IT budget, vendor relationships, and procurement processes to ensure cost-effective investment in technology solutions and services.

  • Establish and enforce IT policies, governance frameworks, and cybersecurity protocols to protect company data, manage risk, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
