The recession cone and recession function are very important research objects in Convex Analysis. They have extensive applications in the optimization theory. Firstly, we study the properties of the recession cone and recession function. The positive homogeneity and subadditivity of recession function are mainly discussed. And the different methods are considered to prove these properties. Secondly, we discuss the unboundedness of the convex sets and convex functions by using recession cone and recession function.
An experiment was conducted to assess the effect of psychoenergetic energy in litchi as positive and negative thoughts using a simple meditation technique at ICAR-NRC on Litchi, Muzaffarpur. The plant produced 24.75 g of fruit given positive energy, while the plant with negative thought energy produced 22.12 g of fruit. The fruit and seed weight increased by 11.88% and 13.63%, respectively, due to positive energy. The number of fruit retentions increased by 23.77% due to positive energy. Anthocyanin content in pericarp was increased by 5.45% in plants given positive energy. Fruit qualities were also significantly affected by psychoenergy. TSS (Brix) was significantly increased by 13.54% in plants given positive energy as compared to negative energy, and titratable acidity was reduced by 25% due to positive energy. Ascorbic acid was also increased by 30% in plant given positive thoughts. Sun burn was reduced by 54.76% and fruit cracking by 63.64% due to energy of thought. Fruit borer infestation was reduced by 70%, and mite infestation was reduced by 90% in plants given positive energy. The psychoenergetic potential is vast, and its ability to improve crop yield and quality cannot be overstated. The hidden power of thought is being practiced by all, but mostly people do not know this power and use it in an improper manner. This is a high time when we need to practice generating powerful thoughts to change present-day agriculture and its dependents.
Business organizations use job advertisements to find and attract the high-quality workforce they need. Skillfully crafted job advertisements not only provide job-related information to job seekers but also help develop a strong employer brand in the employee market. Based on signaling theory and person-environment fit theory, we propose that the content and specificity of information provided in job advertisements influence job advertisement effectiveness through various mechanisms. In a scenario-based experiment on 310 young job seekers, we probed the direct and indirect effects of job advertisement informativeness on job pursuit intentions. Using structural equations modelling and multi-group path analysis, the mediating roles of perceived job appropriateness and ad truthfulness, along with the moderating role of previous employment experience, were examined. By manipulating the information content of a hypothetical job advertisement, we demonstrated that: a) both advertisement informativeness and perceived job appropriateness had positive direct effects on application intentions, while the latter had a greater effect; b) perceived job appropriateness mediated the relationship between advertisement informativeness and job pursuit intentions; c) the indirect (mediated) effect of advertisement informativeness on application intentions was moderated by previous employment experience; d) perceived ad truthfulness did not exert any significant effect on application intentions. These findings imply that HR practitioners should provide specific information in job postings to help candidates, especially those with less work experience, evaluate how well the job suits them and increase their motivation to apply.
This paper discusses the dawn of cognitive neuroscience in management and organizational research. The study does that in two tiers: first, it reviews the interdisciplinary field of organizational cognitive neuroscience, and second, it analyzes the role organizational cognitive neuroscience (OCN) could play in reducing counterproductive workplace behaviors (CWB). Theoretically, the literature has established the benefits of a neuro-scientific approach to understanding various organizational behaviors, but no research has been done on using organizational neuroscience techniques to study counterproductive work behaviors. This paper, however, has taken the first step towards this research avenue. The study will shed light on this interdisciplinary field of organizational cognitive neuroscience (OCN) and the benefits that organizations can reap from it with respect to understanding employee behavior. A research agenda for future studies is provided to scholars who are interested in advancing the investigation of cognition in counterproductive work behaviors, also by using neuroscience techniques. The study concludes by providing evidence drawn from the literature in favor of adopting an OCN approach in organizations.
In the new century, the traditional model of enterprise human resource management is facing the challenge of the times, improving the human resource management of enterprises, and must innovate the concept of enterprise human resource management. After the 1950s, some economists established the theory of human capital, not only can more effectively explain the problems of modern social economic growth, but also on the enterprise's human resources management contribution to a positive impact. This paper introduces the concept of human capital and human capital investment into enterprise human resource management, which opens up a new perspective for enterprise human resource management. In this paper, we will first define the characteristics of human capital and the main body of human capital investment, and then analyze the meaning of various human resource management behaviors from the perspective of capital investment, estimate their benefits, costs and risks, and finally use scientific means to establish investment decision model and risk control mechanism, to maximize the effectiveness of human resources, so that the management behavior of enterprise's human can bring more revenue for the enterprises, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. At present, the scientific operation of human resources is the key to the healthy development of enterprises.
Soil erosion is characterized by the wearing away or loss of the uppermost layer of soil, driven by water, wind, and human activities. This process constitutes a significant environmental issue, with adverse effects on water quality, soil health, and the overall stability of ecosystems across the globe. This study focuses on the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, India, employing the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS) tools to estimate and spatially analyze soil erosion and fertility risk. The various factors of the model, like rainfall erosivity (R), soil erodibility (K), slope length and steepness (LS), conservation practices (P), and cover management factor (C), have been computed to measure annual soil loss in the district. Each factor was derived using geospatial datasets, including rainfall records, soil characteristics, a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), land use/land cover (LULC) data, and information on conservation practices. GIS methods are used to map the geographical variation of soil erosion, providing important information on the area's most susceptible to erosion. The outcome of the study reveals that 3371.23 km2, which constitutes 91% of the district's total area, is identified as having mild soil erosion; in contrast, 154 km2, or 4%, is classified as moderate soil erosion, while 92 km2, representing 2.5%, falls under the high soil erosion category. Additionally, 50 km2, or 1.35%, is categorized as very high soil erosion and around 30 km2 of the study area is classified as experiencing severe soil erosion. The analysis further discovers that the annual soil loss in the district varies between 0 and 151 tons per hectare per year. This study indicates that most of the district is classified under low soil erosion; only a tiny fraction of the area is categorized as experiencing high and very high soil erosion. The study provides significant insights into soil erosion for policymakers and human society to bring their attention to the need for sustainable soil conservation practices in the undulating terrain/topography and agriculturally dominated district of Anuppur.
