This study investigated the students’ perceptions of a self-paced fitness program that is integrated with SitFit, a fitness tracker that measures body inclination during sit-up exercises, and their acceptance of digital innovation in physical education. The data was gathered from a survey of 1001 Thai undergraduates. Results revealed that attitudes toward using the technology and the perceived ease of use were important predictors of behavioral intention to use the sit-up fitness tracker. consistent with previous TAM studies. Subsequently, SitFit was developed based on exercise principles and expert advice to enable users to exercise more effectively while reducing injury risk.

Employing a quantitative research methodology, using self-administered surveys distributed to a sample of students with disabilities and diabetes at numerous Saudi Arabian universities. 468 completed surveys were received and subjected to statistical analysis, using PLS-SEM, and the study uncovered significant positive direct relationships between all positive mental health sub factors and quality of life among students. Additionally, the study revealed that physical fitness acts as a moderator in all direct relationships These findings offer valuable insights for universities, in order to develop and implement psychological support and academic adjustments policies ensuring students have access to health and wellness programs, and engage local communities in the creation of policies that can help students with disabilities.
The mobile health market is expected to continue to grow that will make it harder for mobile application developer to compete. One of the most popular types of mobile health application is health and fitness applications. This application aims to modify user behavior; therefore, it requires user to use the system continuously in relatively longer period of time to effectively change user behavior. Thus, user satisfaction is essential and must be maintained to reach this goal. This study aims to define the mobile health application qualities that would influence user satisfaction level. Developer can priorities the most influential qualities when building their application. Quality dimensions would be explored by literature review and Google Play Store review and categorised using DeLone McLean IS Success Model. We identified 12 quality dimension that will furthered analysed using Kano Model. The data collecting was conducted with online form with 12 pairs of Kano two-dimensional questionnaires (n = 115). The results show that the important qualities of mobile health application are Privacy, Availability, Reliability, Ease of Use, Accuracy and Responsiveness, lack of these qualities would cause dissatisfaction from user. The developer might also consider to improve user interface and usefulness of the application to increase user satisfaction even though these qualities would not cause much of dissatisfaction
This study aims to explore the factors influencing people’s intention to use home fitness mobile apps in the post-pandemic era. By incorporating the perspective of playfulness into the decomposed theory of planned behavior, it seeks to construct a behavioral model for the public's use of AR sports games for home exercise. The research focuses on Active Arcade users residing in Taiwan, employing the snowball sampling method to conduct an online questionnaire survey. A total of 340 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed using linear structural equations. The study reveals three main findings: first, the behavioral model for Active Arcade users constructed based on the decomposed theory of planned behavior demonstrates a good fit; second, users’ attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have a positive and significant impact on behavioral intention; third, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived playfulness all positively and significantly influence attitudes, with perceived playfulness having the highest impact coefficient; fourth, perceived benefits of exercise are the most crucial factor affecting subjective norms; and fifth, convenience technologies are the key factor influencing perceived behavioral control. This study provides valuable insights for theory and management practice, offering guidance on the use of home fitness apps in the post-pandemic era while addressing research limitations and suggesting future directions.
The purpose of the study was to examine the role of personalization in motivating senior citizens to use AI driven fitness apps. Vroom’s expectancy theory of motivation was applied to examine the motivation of senior citizens. The responses from participants were collected through structured interviews. The participants belonged to South Asian origin belonging to India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
