This paper proposes to apply a microfluidic chip combining DSC, DTA, and PCR-like functions for studying synthesis and selection of precursors of the genetic code carriers at hydrothermal conditions including those in natural high frequency fields (such as magnetosphere emission, atmospherics, auroras and lightings).
The artificial intelligence (AI)-based architect’s profile’s selection (simply iSelection) uses a polymathic mathematical model and AI-subdomains’ integration for enabling automated and optimized human resources (HR) processes and activities. HR-related processes and activities in the selection, support, problem-solving, and just-in-time evaluation of a transformation manager’s or key team members’ polymathic profile (TPProfile). Where a TPProfile can be a classical business manager, transformation manager, project manager, or an enterprise architect. iSelection-related selection processes use many types of artifacts, like critical success factors (CSF), AI-subdomain’ integration environments, and an enterprise-wide decision-making system (DMS). iSelection focuses on TPProfiles for various kinds of transformation projects, like the case of the transformation of enterprises’ HRs (EHR) processes, activities, and related fields, like enterprise resources planning (ERP) environments, financial systems, human factors (HF) evolution, and AI-subdomains. The iSelection tries to offer a well-defined (or specific) TPProfile, which includes HF’s original-authentic capabilities, education, affinities, and possible polymathical characteristics. Such a profile can also be influenced by educational or training curriculum (ETC), which also takes into account transformation projects’ acquired experiences. Knowing that selected TPProfiles are supported by an internal (or external) transformation framework (TF), which can support standard transformation activities, and solving various types of iSelection’s problems. Enterprise transformation projects (simply projects) face extremely high failure rates (XHFR) of about 95%, which makes EHR selection processes very complex.
Background: The hotel industry is labor-intensive. Both technical and behavioral aspects of quality are considered to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction among the internal and external customers as a whole, creating a competitive advantage. Significance: Recruiting and selecting the right people is paramount to the success of the hospitality industry in the sense that the best delivery will be enhanced if proper procedures are used and the right people are selected who can handle their tasks to the best satisfaction of the customer. Method: The goal of the research was to explore the recruiting and selection practices/methods used in the hotel industry, as well as their employability. The study aims to explore the differences in the mix of recruitment and selection methods implemented in 4- and 5-star and different category hotels. As an enterprise, HRD comprises change, learning, and performance. Results: Based on the findings, it is imperative to invest in human resources as a capital asset to boost staff entities in terms of knowledge and capabilities, thereby contributing to better service quality and enhanced customer satisfaction. This would help fulfil the organizations’ objectives. Conclusion: The study concludes that the selected candidates are being analyzed properly and effectively. It is very important to note that the results of this study cannot be generalized as it deals with a restricted clientele, and this could only add on variables and instances to form a common standpoint for the other hotel managers.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the published literature on human resource management and school performance from January 2012 to December 2022. Numerous literature evaluations have been conducted on human resource management and organizational performance, but school or teacher performance has received less attention than organizational performance. The PICOC (population, intervention, comparison, outcome, and context) technique is integrated into each stage of the PSALSAR framework to assure the study’s objective and comparability. This in-depth research is conducted in three stages: identifying pertinent keywords, screening pertinent papers, and selecting pertinent publications for review utilizing the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Mata Analysis) technique. This made a final database with 44 publications that met the study’s requirements for inclusion. This study reveals that HRM practices and school performance are correlated. The results of the research identify the eight most essential HRM practices for improving school performance, which included planning, organizing, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, employee relations and involvement, reward and compensation, health, safety, and work-life balance. Leadership style, motivation, satisfaction, productivity and task performance, competency, culture and climate, empowerment, and commitment were among the performance-influencing elements.
There is a large literature on public-private-partnership, covering many different areas and aspects. This article deals with a specific but important aspect: the decision-making mechanisms to choose the management of PPP enterprises. In this sector, a suitable choice of managers is of particular importance because the persons chosen must balance the public and private interests. This is often difficult to achieve. Two new procedures are discussed, “Directed Random Choice” and “Rotating CEOs”. In each case, the advantages and disadvantages of the procedure of choosing the managers of PPP enterprises are discussed and evaluated. It is concluded that the two novel mechanisms should be seriously considered when choosing the managers of PPP enterprises.
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicon L.) is a highly valued crop in the world, particularly in Nigeria with high nutritional and economic benefits. However, its production in Iwollo, Southeast Nigeria, is constrained by unfavorable weather conditions. To address this, a study was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Department of Horticultural Technology, Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo, Southeast Nigeria to evaluate and select the best cultivar for high tunnel production using the Rank Summation Index. Completely Randomized Design with three replications was used, and six high-yielding cultivars, namely Roma VF, BHN-1021, Supremo, Pomodro, Money maker, and Iwollo local, were evaluated. Data were collected on key agronomic characters and analyzed with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a 0.05 level of probability. There were significant differences in the number of leaves per plant, plant height, number of branches per plant, days to fruit maturity, fresh fruit weight, number of harvested fresh fruits per plant, and fresh fruit yield per plant among the cultivars. These characters that showed significant differences were ranked and summed up to obtain the Rank Summation Index (RSI) score. The results revealed that the Supremo cultivar had the lowest and best score (18). This suggests Supremo as the best cultivar for high tunnel tomato production in the study area, based on its superior performance across key agronomic traits.
