Cucumis sativus is an important vegetable crop in the world. Agrobacterium mediated transgenic technology is an important means to study plant gene function and variety improvement. In order to further accelerate the transgenic research and breeding process of cucumber, aiming at the Agrobacterium mediated genetic transformation method of cucumber, this paper expounds the research progress and existing problems of Agrobacterium mediated transgenic cucumber from the aspects of influencing factors of cucumber regeneration ability, genetic transformation conditions and various added substances in the process, and prospects the future of improving the efficiency of cucumber genetic transformation and the application of safety screening markers, in order to provide reference for cucumber stress resistance breeding and fruit quality improvement.
This study investigates the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance practical content development within the media specialization program at Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie. The primary objective is to examine the extent to which media specialty lecturers employ AI technology in developing practical content. A mixed-methods approach is employed, qualitative data are gathered through in-depth interviews with faculty members to elucidate their perceptions and experiences regarding the integration of AI technology in practical content development. The study aims to provide valuable insights into the benefits and challenges of AI integration in practical content development for media specialization programs The study reveals diverse views on AI integration in media education at Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie. Faculty recognize AI’s benefits like personalized learning and productivity but also express concerns about over-reliance and ethics. Consensus exists on cautious AI implementation to maximize benefits and address drawbacks. Obstacles to AI adoption include cost, skills gaps, and ethical considerations, highlighting the complexity of integration. The study emphasizes a balanced approach, offering insights for enhancing practical content development in media specialization programs at Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie.
This paper aims to investigate the factors of competitive success and examine the relationship between Strategic Management Accounting, management accounting information systems and sustainability performance. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach. The survey involved 125 managers of 4- and 5-star hotels in Bali, Indonesia, a research sample of 154 managers was determined to be given a research questionnaire. Analysis of research data was carried out through Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that strategic management accounting and Information Management Accounting System had a positive effect on sustainability performance. MAS information also mediates the relationship between strategic management accounting and sustainability performance which can involve a variety of factors. This study only focuses on competitive strategy and MAS information variables, so further research is needed on the sustainability performance of the hospitality industry. The positive relationship between strategic management accounting and social and environmental performance supports the argument that hotels use socio-environmental aspects for their strategic management accounting. Hotel managers also need government regulations and information related to social and environmental issues such as the Indonesian occupational health and safety management system and the Indonesia Green Hotel Award.
The digital era has transformed education, making digital literacy essential for teachers to integrate technology and enhance student outcomes effectively. This study aims to examine how school culture influences teachers’ performance through their digital literacy, focusing on junior high school teachers in Malang City, East Java, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 214 teachers out of a 457 population using questionnaires. The analysis was conducted through AMOS for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), SPSS for descriptive statistics, and PLS-SEM for hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that school culture significantly affects teachers’ digital literacy (Ho1) and teacher performance (Ho2) with supportive and innovative environments, while rigid cultures limit creativity. Furthermore, digital literacy was found to enhance teachers’ performance (Ho3) and mediate the impact of school culture on teachers’ performance (Ho4), enhancing teachers’ effectiveness in planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction. This study highlights the critical role of school culture in shaping digital literacy and offers new insights for improving teacher practices in diverse educational settings. Moreover, the role of education policies in fostering a collaborative school culture that enhances teachers’ digital literacy and performance, leading to improved educational outcomes, plays a crucial implication.
This study examines the intricate interplay between the digital environment and the evolving communication dynamics of Generation Z, specifically focusing on the impact of social media on familial bonds. The research objective is to explore the ways in which Generation Z’s social media consumption patterns shape their relationships and lives, providing insights into the intricate interplay between technology and human connections. Adopting Hirschi and Wellman’s theoretical framework, this investigation employs a survey method, utilizing a questionnaire to gather data from 384 Iranian Generation Z social media users. The findings reveal a significant and negative correlation between family bonds and social media usage, dependency on the platform, and support received from it. Excessive use diminishes interaction and intimacy, highlighting social media’s potential consequences for family relationships, which are crucial for individual and societal well-being. The study underscores the significance of balanced social media usage and encourages initiatives promoting face-to-face interactions, empathy, and responsible digital citizenship. The findings hold significant implications for academics and policymakers in developing strategies that promote responsible digital habits, foster healthy relationships, and contribute to digital citizenship advancement. This may involve regulatory initiatives, guidelines for social media platforms, and public awareness campaigns emphasizing the importance of balanced digital habits.
Recently, the government of Ethiopia has been engaged in modernizing the trans-regional Ethio-Djibouti railway infrastructure using the Belt and Road Initiative. This railway corridor has been serving as the main get way for the landlocked Ethiopia to the port. This article creates an insight about the implications of the Ethio-Djibouti railway corridor by exploring the question: what kinds of urban form and morphological changes evolved due to the railway corridor? To examine the impact of this railway corridor, the article employed stratified sampling and multiple criteria intermediate cities selection method. Accordingly, four (Bishoftu, Mojo, Adama, and Dire Dawa) intermediate cities were selected as case study. The article points out that the railway corridor conceived different kinds of linear urban centers around stations. The identified four intermediate cities attract industries and logistic centers. Those industries, logistic centers, and new railway stations often established at the periphery of intermediate cities resulted labour influx from rural and nearby small urban centers and urban expansion that caused a rural-urban continuum of ribbon settlement and strengthen trade gate way for the landlocked Ethiopia that caused trans-regional integration.
