Cyclically, the debate on Keynes’ economic policies reemerge. The economic impact of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 has relaunched the discussion about the importance of Keynesian policies, the multipliers effects, and their impact on stimulating economies. This paper aims to analyze the importance and relevance of the Keynesian multiplier before the pandemic, in a period without experiencing exceptional aggregate shocks. The main focus of the research is to examine the shortcomings of the public investment multiplier, which plays a central role in Keynesian theory. Despite the undeniable relevance of the concept, the issue is to understand the extent to which the multiplier is still relevant in specific contexts. The research presents empirical evidence which suggests that the effects of public investment depend on structural characteristics of economies specifically trade liberalization, the dimension of internal markets, the question of countries having the freedom to issue their currency, and the issue of currencies being accepted as an international reserve. A sample of 35 OECD countries was used for the period 2010–2018. The Keynesian public investment multiplier was calculated for several countries and the obtained values were related to various correlations carried out to assess the relationship between public investment, national income, and specific characteristics of the economies to which the multipliers are sensitive. The results obtained contrast in terms of short-term and long-term impacts so, is at least dubious, that one can rely on Keynesian public policies to boost economies at least in the absence of substantial shocks to aggregate demand.
In today's changing world of work, Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM)) still focuses on making workers more productive. This study systematically examines the mediating function of incentives both monetary and non-monetary between antecedent characteristics (e.g., leadership, organizational culture) and employee productivity using a systematic literature review (SLR) of papers published from 2010 to 2024. The review adheres to PRISMA principles and integrates 18 peer-reviewed studies chosen through a stringent screening and quality evaluation process from Scopus and Google Scholar. The results show that the success of incentives depends a lot on things like the ideals of the business, the style of leadership, and the demographics of the workforce. Thematic analysis, informed by the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) theory and Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) frameworks, delineates four principal processes by which incentives affect productivity: goal alignment, perceived equity, motivational pathways, and cultural congruence. The research emphasizes the necessity of customizing incentive systems to specific organizational contexts and offers practical guidance for HR professionals. Recognizing limitations and publishing bias, suggestions for future incentive system design are presented.
Bioactive materials are those that cause a number of interactions at the biomaterial-living tissue inter-face that result in the evolution of a mechanically strong association between them. For this reason, an implantable material’s bioactive behavior is highly advantageous. Silicate glasses are encouraged to be used as bioactive glasses due to their great biocompatibility and beneficial biological effects. The sol-gel method is the most effective for preparing silicate glasses because it increases the material’s bioactivity by creating pores. Glass densities are altered by the internal network connectivity between network formers and network modifiers. The increase in the composition of alkali or alkaline oxides reduces the number of bridging oxygens and increases the number of non-bridging oxygens by retaining the overall charge neutrality between the alkali or alkaline cation and oxygen anion. Higher drying temperatures increase pore densities, while the melt-quenching approach encourages the creation of higher density glasses. Band assignments for the BAG structure can be explained in detail using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopic investigations. Raman spectroscopy makes it simple to measure the concentration of the non-bridging oxygens in the silica matrix.
This study investigates the public’s perceptions of digital innovations in pharmacy, with a focus on health informatics and medication management. Despite the rapid development of these technologies, a comprehensive understanding of how various demographics perceive and interact with them is lacking hence, this research aims to bridge this gap by offering insights into public attitudes and the factors influencing the adoption of digital tools in pharmacy practice, as KSA population and healthcare professionals after Covid-19 has observed the significant potential of digital health. A cross-sectional survey involving 1132 participants was conducted, employing SPSS for data analysis to ensure precise and reliable results. The findings indicate general optimism about the potential of digital innovations to enhance healthcare outcomes but concerns about data privacy and usability significantly affect user acceptance. The researchers recommended tailored educational programs and user-centered design to facilitate the adoption of digital pharmacy innovations. Key contributions include the identification of ‘Ease of Use’ and ‘Data Security and Privacy’ as predominant factors in the adoption of digital health tools.
The present study, developed under a quantitative approach, explanatory scope and causal correlational design, aims to determine the influence of invisible learning on the research competence of high school students in two private schools in the city of Lima, Peru, whose educational models seek to develop autonomous learning and research through discovery learning and experimentation. Two questionnaires were applied to 120 students of the VII cycle of basic education, one to measure the perception regarding invisible learning with 20 items and the other to measure investigative competencies with 21 items; both instruments underwent the corresponding validity and reliability tests before their application. Among the main findings, descriptive results were obtained at a medium level for both variables, the correlations found were significant and moderate, and as for influence, the coefficient of determination R2 yielded a value of 0.13, suggesting that 13% of investigative competence is predicted by invisible learning. These results show that autonomy, the use of digital technologies, metacognition and other aspects that are part of invisible learning prepare students to solve problems of varying complexity, allowing them to face the challenges of contemporary knowledge in an innovative and effective manner.
