The issue of virtue and happiness holds a crucial position in both Chinese traditional and Western philosophical systems, and to this day, it remains a hot topic of concern and discussion. The "Huainanzi" was written during the early Western Han Dynasty, mainly based on Taoist thoughts, incorporating various schools of thought to form its distinct theoretical system. It can be seen as a culmination of the traditional Chinese pre-Qin perspective on "virtue and happiness" holding significant research value. "Huainanzi" firmly believes that the ideal situation between virtue and happiness is and must be a consistent relationship.
The Malaysian government has been actively strengthening the information and communication industry’s ecosystem through talent retention to realize Malaysia 5.0 and transform the country into a developed human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of talent problems. This is done to recognize the significance of emerging in building a vibrant and dynamic economy for the country. Few of these studies, however, had developed comprehensive policy recommendations for keeping information specialists in Malaysia’s information businesses. To address this gap, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to understand the factors driving information professionals to leave the sector. The findings aim to inform talent retention strategies that will strengthen the industry’s sustainability and attract skilled leaders, ensuring the information sector’s readiness for a successful digital transition.
Introduction: The digital era has ushered in transformative changes across industries, with the real estate sector being a pivotal focus. In Guangdong Province, China, real estate enterprises are at the forefront of this digital revolution, navigating the complexities of technological integration and market adaptation. This study delves into the intricacies of digital transformation and its profound implications for the financial performance of these enterprises. The rapid evolution of digital technologies necessitates examining how such advancements redefine operational strategies and financial outcomes within the real estate landscape. The inclusion of government support as a variable in our study is deliberate and stems from its profound influence on shaping the digital landscape. Government policies and initiatives provide a regulatory framework and offer strategic direction and financial incentives that catalyze digital adoption and integration within the real estate sector. By examining the moderating effect of government support, this study aims to uncover the nuanced interplay between policy-driven environments and the financial performance of enterprises undergoing digital transformation. This exploration is essential to understanding the broader implications of public policy on private-sector innovation and growth. Objectives: The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of digital transformation on the financial performance of Guangdong’s real estate enterprises, with a specific focus on return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA). Additionally, this study aims to scrutinize the role of government support as a potential moderator in the relationship between digital transformation and financial success. The research seeks to provide actionable insights for policymakers and industry players by understanding these dynamics. The digital transformation of Guangdong’s real estate sector presents a complex landscape of challenges and opportunities that shape the industry’s evolution. On one hand, the integration of innovative digital technologies into established operational frameworks poses significant challenges. These include the need for substantial investment in new infrastructure, the imperative for a cultural shift towards digital literacy across the workforce, and the continuous demand for upskilling to remain agile in an increasingly digital market. On the other hand, digital transformation affords manifold opportunities. For instance, enhanced operational efficiencies through automation and data analytics offer substantial benefits in terms of cost savings and process optimization. Furthermore, leveraging data-driven insights enables more informed strategic decision-making, which is critical in a competitive real estate market. The capacity to innovate service offerings by tapping into digital platforms and customer relationship management systems also presents a significant opportunity for real estate enterprises to differentiate themselves and capture new market segments. Methods: This study explores the digital transformation of real estate firms in Guangdong, highlighting government support as a critical moderator. Findings show that digital initiatives improve company performance, with government backing amplifying these benefits. Regional disparities in support suggest a need for tailored strategies, indicating the importance of policy in driving digital adoption and innovation in the sector. The study advises firms to leverage local policies and policymakers to address regional imbalances for equitable digital transformation. This study uses a sample of 28 real estate enterprises in Guangdong Province from 2012 to 2022. Panel data analysis with a fixed effects model tests the hypotheses. Digital transformation is a significant phenomenon that affects almost every business sector, particularly the telecommunications industry, which is closely intertwined with information technology. This study is grounded in McLuhan’s concept of technological determinism and Martin Heidegger’s philosophy of technology, which asserts that media and technology shape human thoughts and interactions, benefiting individuals, society, and culture alike. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the environmental factors that influence digital transformation and to assess its impact on the strategic renewal of a company. This research employs exploratory qualitative methods, collecting in-depth information through interviews with the respondents from Indonesia’s leading telecommunications operator who can provide comprehensive and contextual insights into digital transformation. The findings reveal specific environmental factors that drive digital transformation. The major identified components of strategic renewal include advancements in information technology, the role of human resources, and interactions with external parties, including customers and partners.
This study examined the role of cryptocurrencies in tourism and their acceptance across EU regions, with particular attention to the digital transformation precipitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis focuses on the relationship between cryptocurrency acceptance points and the intensity of tourism, highlighting that the acceptance of cryptocurrencies is significantly correlated with tourism services. The literature review highlighted that Web 3.0, especially blockchain technology and decentralized applications, opens new possibilities in tourism, including secure and transparent transactions, and more personalized travel experiences. The research investigated cryptocurrency acceptance points and the intensity of tourism within the EU. The study illuminates that the acceptance of cryptocurrencies significantly correlates with tourism services. The data and methodology demonstrated the analysis methods for examining the relationship between cryptocurrency acceptance points and tourism intensity, including the use of clustering neural networks and Eurostat data utilization. The results showed a positive correlation between the number of cryptocurrency acceptance points and tourism intensity in the EU, affirming the research hypothesis. According to the regression analysis results, each additional cryptocurrency acceptance point is associated with an increase in tourism intensity. The significance of the research lies in highlighting the growing role of digital payment solutions, especially cryptocurrencies, in tourism, and their potential impacts on the EU economy. The analysis supports that the intertwining of tourism and digital financial technologies opens new opportunities in the sector for both providers and tourists.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between transformational leadership variables and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) variables, investigate the relationship between job satisfaction variables and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and investigate the relationship between organizational commitment variables and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). This research method uses quantitative methods. In this study, the researchers used a simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 368 SMEs employee. The data collection method for this research is by distributing an online questionnaire designed using a Likert scale of 1 to 7. The data analysis technique uses Partial Least Square—Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and data analysis tools use SmartPLS software version 3.0. The stages of data analysis are validity testing, reliability testing and hypothesis testing. The independent variables in this research are transformational leadership, job satisfaction and organizational commitment, while the dependent variable is organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The results of this research are that transformational leadership has a positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), Job Satisfaction has a positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and organizational commitment has a positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The theoretical implications of this research support the results of previous research that transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment make a positive contribution to increasing organizational citizenship behavior in SME employees. The practical implication of this research is that SME owners apply transformational leadership, create work breadth and create organizational commitment within the SME organization to support increasing employee organizational citizenship behavior so that it can encourage increased performance and competitiveness of SMEs.
