The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of environmental transformational leadership on organizational citizenship behavior through the mediating role of perceived meaningful work in Tehran District 22 Municipality. The study population in this study is the employees of the municipal district of District 22 of Tehran. The number is about 400 people, and the sample size was obtained according to Cochran’s 196 formula. The research method in the present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of implementation method. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to test the normality of the data, which proved with 95% confidence that the variables had an abnormal distribution. Therefore, due to the abnormality of the data distribution, Pls software was used to analyze the data. The results showed that environmental transformational leadership has an effect on organizational citizenship behaviors.
The artificial intelligence (AI)-based architect’s profile’s selection (simply iSelection) uses a polymathic mathematical model and AI-subdomains’ integration for enabling automated and optimized human resources (HR) processes and activities. HR-related processes and activities in the selection, support, problem-solving, and just-in-time evaluation of a transformation manager’s or key team members’ polymathic profile (TPProfile). Where a TPProfile can be a classical business manager, transformation manager, project manager, or an enterprise architect. iSelection-related selection processes use many types of artifacts, like critical success factors (CSF), AI-subdomain’ integration environments, and an enterprise-wide decision-making system (DMS). iSelection focuses on TPProfiles for various kinds of transformation projects, like the case of the transformation of enterprises’ HRs (EHR) processes, activities, and related fields, like enterprise resources planning (ERP) environments, financial systems, human factors (HF) evolution, and AI-subdomains. The iSelection tries to offer a well-defined (or specific) TPProfile, which includes HF’s original-authentic capabilities, education, affinities, and possible polymathical characteristics. Such a profile can also be influenced by educational or training curriculum (ETC), which also takes into account transformation projects’ acquired experiences. Knowing that selected TPProfiles are supported by an internal (or external) transformation framework (TF), which can support standard transformation activities, and solving various types of iSelection’s problems. Enterprise transformation projects (simply projects) face extremely high failure rates (XHFR) of about 95%, which makes EHR selection processes very complex.
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the strategic orientations of organizations have an impact on the resilience levels of employees in the digitalized world. The sample for this research is based on the convenience sampling method. In this study, the sub-factors of strategic orientation, namely innovation, technological orientation, customer focus, and competitor focus, are examined, and their potential effects on resilience are analyzed. Our research emphasizes the importance of psychological resilience in organizations that undergo continuous changes due to the impact of digital transformation, as it enhances employee performance and has positive implications for firms. The field study associated with this research was conducted on 316 individuals working in the service sector in the context of Turkey. The data collected for the research were analyzed using SPSS 25 software. The research findings indicate that the components of strategic orientation have an impact on the levels of psychological resilience.
The study focuses on the employees’ behavioral intentions towards the usage of disruptive technology in the industry. The digital technology application in consumer, retail, and hospitality, education and training, financial services, the health sector, infrastructure, government, and airports. The study objectives were to explore the possible adoption of innovation and creativity changes and their acceptance by the employees in the organization. To identify the variables impacting behavioral intention and analyze how these variables relate to perceived usefulness, attitude, perceived ease of use, facilitating conditions, and technology optimism. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 335 respondents, who were selected based on their relevance to the study objectives. The questionnaires were distributed through the Google Forms application, and the data were collected and analyzed periodically. The findings of the study provide valuable insights into the behavioral intention towards disruptive technologies in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya locations in Malaysia and highlight the significance of factors such as perceived usefulness, attitude, perceived ease of use, facilitating conditions, and technology optimism. The research contributes to the existing body of knowledge on Industry 4.0 by providing empirical evidence and practical implications for organizations seeking to leverage disruptive technologies in their operations management.
This paper explores diverse conceptualizations of leadership, emphasizing its profound impact on individuals and organizations. Leadership’s influence on followers’ daily lives, necessitating adaptation to modern complexities. Various theories offer distinct perspectives: distributed leadership emphasizes shared expertise. While charismatic leadership focuses on vision alignment. Authentic leadership promotes ethical climates, while Emotional Intelligence theory emphasizes emotional competencies. Ethical leadership underscores moral conduct. Five Domains Leadership highlights talent management and strategy execution, while Leadership Transition Theory discusses dynamic changes. Other theories include direct/indirect leadership, entrepreneurial leadership, and leader-member exchange. Participative leadership explores decision-making styles, and situational leadership aligns styles with follower maturity. Trait and behavioral theories focus on inherent traits and learned behaviours. This review underscores leadership’s complexity, offering insights into its diverse conceptualizations and practical implications across contexts.
This study considers the role of leadership within the hospitality sector as a key tool in raising performance levels. Hospitality is unique in its service-based approach, which relies on employees to ensure effective service. Post-COVID-19 and Brexit, the hospitality sector has seen a shift in reliance towards a home workforce, and as such, retention has become an area of greater importance. This case study investigation adopted a qualitative approach to consider the perceptions of six managers within a UK-based luxury hotel. Semi-structured interviews were used to draw out their experience of approaches used to ensure effective delivery in their areas of responsibility. The research concludes that a shift in leadership approach (from autocratic to democratic) is a necessity to retain staff, particularly as the shift to a greater reliance on a home workforce due to COVID-19 and Brexit starts to impact the sector. There does, however, remain a need to be more autocratic in certain situations to ensure the quality of service. Subsequently, communication becomes critical in the building of relationships. The research considers leadership approaches from a managerial perspective and is based on individual perceptions. Traditionally, research has been conducted from an employee perspective.
