Several studies have discussed the benefits of blockchain in human resources management (HRM) policies to support the efficiency of HRM routine practices in organizations. The discussion ranges from selection and recruitment to employee separation. With the growing interest in digital application usage, research focused on utilization and effective measurement is needed. However, the existing literature review on blockchain-based HRM practices linked to cost efficiency still needs to be improved. Hence, this study aims to review current studies on blockchain human resources management systematically. This study investigates the trends in blockchain application usage in terms of practices, methodologies, and settings. This study used a literature survey and Publish or Perish software with Google Scholar and Scopus as the databases. 123 articles published in 19 journals from 2010 to 2022 were selected. This study used systematic data to reveal trends in HRM practices and qualitative inductive analysis to define relevant themes within the topic. The results show that blockchain applications for efficiency are used mainly in the recruitment and selection process, ranging from personal data verification to the quality of decision-making in skill development and maintenance. Five HRM practices have been discussed, indicating potential explorative and exploitative future research to improve the effectiveness of using blockchain in HRM practices.
Knowledge of the presence of heavy metals in soils of agricultural areas is important to prevent their accumulation in cultivated plants. The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the total concentrations and fractions of heavy metals Cd, Pb, Zn, Fe, Mn, Ni, Cu, Cr and Co in the tobacco-growing area of Pinar del Río, Cuba and their relationship with the physicochemical properties of soil. For the study, 59 samples of three types of soils were collected at 20 cm depth. The pseudo-total concentrations of metals in the soils are low and lower than the prevention values registered for Cuban soils. In general, the heavy metals studied present a high affinity for the most stable fractions of the soil, which means a low risk of transfer to the tobacco crop or accumulation in groundwater. The pseudo-total concentrations of heavy metals were low, below the alert values established for soils in the region. The heavy metals studied were mainly associated with the residual fraction, the second fraction with the highest association with metals was that linked to manganese and iron oxides. The principal component analysis showed that their main source is pedogenetic and that these elements are closely related to cation exchange capacity and calcium content.
In a context of refugee precarity, the article highlights the significance of inclusive economic models for sustainable resilience amidst protracted crises, examining the interplay between humanitarian aid and economic development within the Minawao camp. Initially established as a temporary solution, the camp now shelters over 76,000 Nigerians fleeing Boko Haram violence. The study focuses on analyzing initiatives implemented to promote economic empowerment and resilience for refugees within a sustainable humanitarian framework. Through a combination of survey data, document reviews, and interviews, findings reveal that while these initiatives align with Sustainable Development Goal 8, they remain limited and insufficiently adapted to the skills and needs of the refugees. The camp’s geographic isolation and the passive involvement of the Cameroonian government further exacerbate the refugees’ dependency on humanitarian aid. Consequently, the study advocates for greater host-state involvement beyond theoretical agreements, the diversification of economic opportunities beyond the camp, adjustment of empowerment programs to meet refugee needs, and strengthened funding through innovative partnerships.
This paper investigates the innovation policy used by the Chinese government and tries to give recommendations to other developing countries to achieve leapfrogging. The main results are as follows: (1) summarize the main HSR-related policy theme issued by the Chinese government, mainly technology transfer, the communication and collaboration with different actors, and the state’s role, (2) discuss the existing challenges and issues for HSR policies, (3) give recommended measures for other developing countries.
Taking Xinjiang Agricultural University as an example, based on Rain Classroom and Dingding platform, the linear algebra course changes the current situation of "emphasizing theory and ignoring application" in traditional mathematics classrooms, adding applied teaching cases with the background of industry and agriculture, using online and offline The blended teaching mode, through inquiry-based and case-based teaching methods and students' autonomous learning and discussion methods, develops from a teaching mode focusing on "teaching" to focusing on "learning". The teaching mode has been comprehensively reformed, and satisfactory results have been achieved.
In the current digital era, digital communication has a profound impact on the construction of product brands and affects the organizational performance of enterprises; thus, digital communication has become a power that cannot be ignored to improve the organizational performance of enterprises. This study demonstrated three hypotheses based on previous research and used a questionnaire survey to collect first-hand data from distributors of a China’s leading domestic down coat brand (named BRAND A in this study), and then studied and analyzed the relationships among digital integrated and interactive brand communication (DIIBC), brand value, and organizational performance through SEM analysis methods. The results showed that DIIBC had an indirect negative significant positive effect on organizational performance through brand value, while it had a highly significant direct positive effect on the organizational performance of this brand in China’s domestic down coat industry, and DIIBC’s final function on organizational performance was highly significant positive.
