The objective of this work was to analyze the effect of the use of ChatGPT in the teaching-learning process of scientific research in engineering. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a topic of great interest in higher education, as it combines hardware, software and programming languages to implement deep learning procedures. We focused on a specific course on scientific research in engineering, in which we measured the competencies, expressed in terms of the indicators, mastery, comprehension and synthesis capacity, in students who decided to use or not ChatGPT for the development and fulfillment of their activities. The data were processed through the statistical T-Student test and box-and-whisker plots were constructed. The results show that students’ reliance on ChatGPT limits their engagement in acquiring knowledge related to scientific research. This research presents evidence indicating that engineering science research students rely on ChatGPT to replace their academic work and consequently, they do not act dynamically in the teaching-learning process, assuming a static role.
This research aims to examine the role of learning leadership on teacher performance in elementary schools, analyze the influence of digital literacy on teacher performance, analyze the role of emotional intelligence on teacher performance and analyze the role of intellectual intelligence on teacher performance. In this digital era, digital literacy plays an important role in education. The application of digital literacy in education is still not optimal and there is no previous research that discusses the variables of instructional leadership, teacher performance, digital literacy, emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence. The research method used is quantitative, the population of this research is all teachers who have used e-learning methods, and the analysis of this research uses structural equation modelling (SEM), the respondents for this research are 675 Indonesian teachers. The sampling method is simple random sampling. Research data was obtained from distributing online questionnaires designed using a 5-point Likert scale, namely scale 1 is strongly disagree, scale 2 is disagree, scale 3 is neutral, scale 4 is agree and scale 5 is strongly agree. Data processing uses SmartPLS 3.0 software tools. The SEM test stages in this research are the outer model test, namely convergent validity, discriminant validity and composite reliability, and then the inner model test, namely hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis using SEM are that the Instructional leadership variable has a positive and significant relationship to teacher performance, the Digital literacy variable has a positive and significant relationship to teacher performance, the Emotional intelligence variable has a positive and significant relationship to teacher performance and Intellectual intelligence has a positive and significant relationship to teacher performance. The novelty of this research is the discovery of a model of the relationship between instructional leadership variables, digital literacy variables, emotional intelligence variables, and intellectual intelligence variables on teacher performance which did not exist in previous research studies. This research has a novelty, namely a model analyzed using SEM-PLS in the digital era. The principal must be able to determine and set learning objectives in his school, in his implementation the principal always involves teachers in developing and implementing learning goals and objectives and the principal also refers to the curriculum set by the government in developing learning. The dimensions of instructional leadership are defining school goals, managing learning programs, and creating a positive learning climate. In other words, the principal has implemented Instructional Leadership with indicators of setting learning goals, indicators of being a resource for staff, indicators of creating a school culture and climate that is conducive to learning, indicators of communicating the school’s vision and mission to staff, indicators of conditioning staff to achieve their goals.
The purpose of this study is to investigate different factors associated with remote online home-based learning (thereafter named OHL), including technical system quality, perceived quality of contents, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness in relation to the satisfaction of undergraduate students following the post-COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia. Additionally, the mediating roles of attitude are also investigated. Two hundred questionnaires were distributed using judgmental sampling method and 156 completed responses were collected. The data were subsequently analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings imply that the OHL system is an effective method although it is challenging to operate. In terms of perceived technical system quality, OHL is currently more gratifying for students; however, some have reported that the quality of the content delivered via the remote system is still unsatisfactory. Moreover, the study found that attitude is a significant determinant of undergraduates’ satisfaction with OHL. This study contributes to the advancement of current knowledge by inspecting the factors of the Undergraduate Level OHL System using the mediating roles of attitude. In terms of underpinning theories, Technology Acceptance Model and Information System Model were employed as the guiding principles of the current study.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the relationships among organizational support for creativity, employees’ creative self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and employees’ innovative behavior in the Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.Design/methodology/approach: A quota sample (n = 385) and a quantitative research methodology were employed in this study.Data from R&D staff at Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturing companies was gathered using an online survey. The study examined the validity and reliability of the measuring tools as well as the variables’ correlation analysis. Using structural equation modeling (SEM), hypotheses were investigated. The specific indirect impacts were quantified through the use of bootstrapping.Findings:The investigation indicates that organizational support is positively related to employees’ innovative behavior. Employee inventive behavior and organizational support for creativity are positively impacted by the twin mediation roles that creative self-efficacy and work satisfaction levels play. Job satisfaction was found to have a greater impact on inventive behavior among employees compared to creative self-efficacy in terms of size. Research, practical, and social implications: In addition to fostering the interdisciplinary application of psychology and organizational behavior, this study creates a dual-mediation model that bridges the gap in the mechanisms of individual cognitive and attitudinal roles between organizational support for creativity and employee innovative behavior. Furthermore, this research advances management strategies and fosters innovation in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.Originality/value: From the perspective of individual perceptions and attitudes, this study examined the mechanism of action between employees’ innovative behaviors and the organizational support for creativity among employees. This investigation offers a fresh viewpoint on the factors influencing employees’ innovative behaviors. The research enhances our comprehension of the correlation between employee job contentment, their belief in their creative abilities, and their capacity for innovative performance. The outcomes of the study can offer valuable perspectives for executives in the business realm.
