This study investigates the integration of sustainability principles into educational curricula, focusing on the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Through a mixed-methods approach, the research identifies key institutional barriers, including outdated policies, insufficient teacher training, and limited resources. These barriers hinder the effective incorporation of sustainable development principles into education. The study reveals that while some educational systems struggle to adopt sustainability, examples from progressive institutions show that integrating these principles enhances student awareness and equips them with skills essential for sustainable development. The findings suggest that substantial changes are needed in existing educational frameworks to better support sustainability in curricula. Recommendations for future research include conducting longitudinal studies to assess the long-term impact of curriculum changes on sustainability outcomes and exploring the role of technology in advancing sustainable education. Policy recommendations emphasize the need for advocacy and the implementation of actionable strategies, such as industry collaborations for pilot projects and real-world applications. Furthermore, institutional support for teacher professional development is crucial, with structured programs that combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills in sustainability. Enhancing partnerships between educational institutions and industries, including co-designed curriculum modules and internship opportunities, is also essential for aligning education with the Sustainable Development Goals. This study highlights the importance of transforming educational practices to better address the challenges of sustainable infrastructure development, ultimately preparing students to contribute to a more sustainable future.
The successful execution of large-scale infrastructure projects is essential for economic growth and societal development, but these projects are too often beset with financial risks. The main financial risks related to infrastructure projects, including cost overrun, funding uncertainty, currency fluctuation, and regulatory change are examined in this research. The study identifies and assesses the magnitude and frequency of these risks by combining surveys and analysis of financial reports. The findings show that current risk management strategies, including hedging, contingency funds, and public-private partnerships, are often unsuitable to respond to the specific needs of financial uncertainties. The research suggests the need for an all-encompassing financial risk management framework that relies on real-time data analysis and a cocktail of risk assessment tools. Additionally, the development of strategic tailored approaches to address financial risk recovery depends on proactive stakeholder engagement. This research complements the existing literature on risk management in infrastructure projects by highlighting the financial dimensions of risk management and suggesting future research on advanced financial tools and technologies. Ultimately, large-scale infrastructure project sustainability and success contribute to economic stability and societal well-being can only be achieved through effective financial risk management.
In the context of globalization and urbanization, rural development faces many challenges, such as population loss and uneven distribution of resources. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences in sustainable rural development strategies between China and Europe through a comparative perspective. China has optimized land use by relying on land policy innovations, such as the household contract responsibility system and the “separation of three rights”, as well as the construction of small towns; while Europe focuses on private ownership and market mechanisms, and supports agricultural and rural development through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Using literature review, comparative research and policy analysis, the study shows that the policy innovations in China and Europe, each with its own focus, have been effective in promoting agricultural output and rural social development. Particularly noteworthy is that the “three rights” policy has increased agricultural productivity through the liberalization of management rights, while the European CAP has contributed to the diversification of the rural economy and environmental protection through continuous reforms. This study emphasizes that through policy innovation and international cooperation, combining the strengths of China and Europe, it is possible to provide a new model of sustainable development for the global countryside. Specifically, through the establishment of Sino-European R&D centers for agricultural science and technology, exchange of talents, and cooperation in green infrastructure development, technology transfer and application can be accelerated, cultural exchange and understanding can be promoted, and the sustainable development agenda for global rural areas can be jointly advanced.
This study conducts a systematic literature review to analyze the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) within business excellence frameworks. An analysis of the findings in the reviewed articles yielded five major themes: AI technologies and intelligent systems; impact of AI on business operations, strategies, and models; AI-driven decision-making in infrastructure and policy contexts; new forms of innovation and competitiveness; and the impact of AI on organizational performance and value creation in infrastructure projects. The findings provide a comprehensive understanding of how AI can be integrated into organizational excellence emerged frameworks to address challenges in infrastructure governance, and sustainable development. Key questions addressed include: how AI affects consumer behavior and marketing strategies. What AI’s capabilities for businesses, especially marketing and digital strategies? How can organizations address the drivers and barriers to help make better use of AI in these business operations? Should organizations even do anything with these insights? These questions and more will be tackled throughout this discussion. This paper attempts to derive a comprehensive conceptual framework from several fields of human resources, operational excellence, and digital transformation, that can help guide organizations and policymakers in embedding AI into infrastructure and development initiatives. This framework will help practitioners navigate the complexities of AI integration, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth in a highly competitive landscape. By bridging the gap between AI technologies and development-related policy initiatives, this research contributes to the advancement of infrastructure governance, public management, and sustainable development.
The recent coronavirus-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for a global digitally enabled healthcare advancement infrastructure to ease e-coverage in the future and reduce human losses, facilitating access to high-quality and cost-effective health solutions. As the concept of a virtual healthcare system is still premature, it would have required noteworthy speculation in technologies and an overhaul of most of the current classical healthcare infrastructure, policies, and systems around the globe. Aims and objectives: This study aims to create a viable autonomous virtual universal health care system to modify the comfort of health care through emerging digital and communication innovations to fulfil consumer needs. Methodology: This study falls under the fact-finding category, which encompasses an exploratory approach with literature examination, limited field visits with informal interviews with local key authorities, and an initial assessment of current circumstances to examine the possibility of application of virtual health coverage. Findings: This study discovered that it is imperative to organize and develop the prospected healthcare system at the country level to be governed by international organizations as speculatively it is functioning in comparative improved healthcare systems across the world, which should be based on special processing of the prospected six types of data with their operationalization to serve multidisciplinary bunches by e-governance and exchanges between distinctive measurements. It requires more dependence on digital infrastructure and learning materials through electronic resources and ordinary techniques. Among other effective components for the development of virtual health coverage, are the applications of digital technology, the middle utility of voice and brief advising framework, complex functionalities, and applications of fifth generations (5Gs) arranged into universal servers attached to GPS-appropriate for sound choice and high-quality measures. Recommendations: This study recommends the construction of a virtual healthcare system by utilizing the proposed Electronic domestic medical adviser, virtual clinics, or “e-health incubators” which will allow individuals to relate through the web rather than the face-to-face institutive fragmented structure systems.
The purpose of this study is to explore new financial product’s impact on the behaviour of individual investors. To analyze investors’ risk and return expectations, this article investigates trading volumes before and after the introduction of financial product innovation. An event research technique was used to gather data from the National Stock Exchange. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Sharpe ratio approach, which were provided by different investors. The research results highlight that individual investors’ overreaction behaviour is brought out by financial product innovation. Furthermore, the study’s results imply that rising trading volumes are not entirely explained by updated risk-adjusted returns and that new financial products lead to excessive trading by investors and lowering returns. Higher trading volumes are not explained by better risk-adjusted returns. Young investors often respond irrationally to information offered by financial advisors, resulting in short-term gains at the expense of long-term gains. The study demonstrates that the development of innovative financial products does not always result in investors’ long-term prosperity. Worse outcomes and excessive trading could follow from it. The paper concludes by providing various real-world implications that the benefits and drawbacks of innovative financial products should be spelled out in detail by financial institutions and representatives. his research contributes to the implementation of individual investors’ overreaction behaviour that is brought out by financial product innovation. It highlights that higher trading volumes are not explained by better risk-adjusted returns.
