Soundscape tourism has become one type of tourism, and its trend is emerging in most areas with hilly, forested, and natural landscapes, such as Bantul Indonesia, becoming a mainstay for region development and its community. This article explores four human manufactured soundscape tourism destinations in Bantul, Indonesia, examining the interrelationships between each tourism stakeholder and pinpointed development from a socio-economic perspective. We adopt a cross-case study approach, drawing main sources from government statistics, regulations, social media narratives, and online news. Using the NVivo 12 Plus software, we coded and annotated the research source. Our research revealed that in four case studies, tourism soundscapes emerged as the primary tourist attractions, with other attractions only marginally contributed. Presenting music or acoustic stages enabled tourism industry to reap benefits, particularly for local community and regional income. However, it is important to emphasize sustainability issues, thus, the continuous increased in music soundscape in nature has led to the formation of collaborations among tourism actors, with local communities “Pokdarwis” posed as the principal driving force behind destination development. This study demonstrates that human-manufactured soundscapes have the potential to increase visitor numbers and outperform natural soundscapes in natural destinations.
Purpose: Religiosity as an intrinsic principle affects the sustainable behavior of consumers. Studies have been undertaken to discover the impact of religiosity on sustainable consumer behavior in various contexts, cultures, and countries. The current bibliometric study focused on religiosity and sustainable consumer behavior in Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) countries who has similar religions and cultures so that the research trend, contribution, and gap through thematic and content analysis could be investigated and future direction could be suggested. The literature for this study was solicited from 2016 to June 2024. Methodology: Bibliometrics and content analysis were used to study the existing literature on religiosity and sustainable consumption behavior in GCC countries. The VOS viewer was used to visualize literature and understand the network landscape of the research topic and their interconnectivity. Additionally, Scopus analytics and Microsoft Excel were used to review and analyze the religiosity of consumers regarding the sustainable consumption of products and services. Finding: The descriptive analysis revealed trends, prolific countries, and researchers in this area along with their affiliation. The co-occurrence analysis showed 3 main clusters of co-occurrences with various link strengths. The content analysis looked at the 6 clusters depicted by the coupling function and compared them against co-occurrence analysis to uncover related themes. This analysis produced 4 related themes for content analysis. Contribution: This research contributed to understanding the current themes, challenges, and the need for marketing strategies and action so that sustainable consumption could be encouraged. As such this research will fill the void in the current literature left in this research area. This research has practical and policy implications for businesses, organizations, and policymakers as they try to capture consumers for sustainable products and services in GCC countries.
The purpose of this research is to deeply examine the factors that support and hinder green economic growth in South Papua, with a specific focus on increasing awareness and capacity among local communities, developing sustainable infrastructure, and adopting clean technologies. This research utilizes a case study approach to uncover the dynamics and elements supporting the development of green economy in South Papua, particularly in Merauke Regency. Through surveys, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, data were gathered from various stakeholders, including government, communities, and the private sector. Sampling was done using purposive sampling method, ensuring the inclusion of respondents relevant to the research topic to provide a holistic understanding of the factors influencing green economy in the region. The research reveals that in Merauke Regency, the understanding of the concept of green economy among the community is still limited, highlighting the need for broader education and socialization. Factors such as government support, infrastructure availability, and community participation play a key role in driving green economic growth. However, challenges such as resource limitations and differences in perceptions among stakeholders highlight the complexity in implementing green economy. Therefore, holistic and collaborative policy recommendations need to be considered to strengthen support and effectiveness of sustainable development efforts in this region.
Based on first-principles methods, the authors of this paper investigate spin thermoelectric effects of one-dimensional spin-based devices consisting of zigzag-edged graphene nanoribbons (ZGNRs), carbon chains and graphene nanoflake. It is found that the spin-down transmission function is suppressed to zero, while the spin-up transmission function is about 0.25. Therefore, an ideal half-metallic property is achieved. In addition, the phonon thermal conductance is obviously smaller than the electronic thermal conductance. Meantime, the spin Seebeck effects are obviously enhanced at the low-temperature regime (about 80K), resulting in the fact that spin thermoelectric figure of merit can reach about 40. Moreover, the spin thermoelectric figure of merit is always larger than the corresponding charge thermoelectric figure of merit. Therefore, the study shows that they can be used to prepare the ideal thermospin devices.
With the progress of information technology, especially the widespread use of artificial intelligence technology, it has shown an important role in promoting economic and social development. Art and design in universities is a new discipline that combines modern technology with humanities and art. Only by emphasizing the development of science and technology, adapting to the requirements of the times, and closely integrating humanities and art with science and technology, can we gradually expand the educational channels for cultivating composite and innovative talents. Effectively organizing different types of scientific research activities, building a sound and comprehensive education system, plays an important role in adjusting teaching relationships, innovating teaching models, enhancing students' professional and comprehensive qualities, and improving their academic performance and employment competitiveness.
Introduction: Growth, yield and quality of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) are related to fertilizer application, being nitrogen (N) the most outstanding, due to its direct relationship with photosynthesis and vegetative growth of the plant. Objective: The objective was to evaluate the agronomic and productivity characteristics of okra as a function of N dose. Materials and methods: The study was conducted at the experimental area of Campus Gurupi, the Universidad Federal de Tocantins (UFT), Brazil, in two planting periods (autumn/winter and spring/summer). The experimental design used was randomized block design (RBD) with six treatments (50, 100, 150, 150, 200 and 250 kg N ha-1) and four replications. Urea was used as a source of N. The characteristics evaluated were: productivity, average fruit mass, height and plant chlorophyll index. Results: Productivity and plant height were superior in the fall/winter crop. Mean fruit mass and chlorophyll index were not influenced by planting time. For productivity, a linear response was obtained with increasing dose up to the limit of the N dose used (250 kg ha-1), with a mean value higher than 14 t of fruit. Mean mass and plant height responded linearly to increasing N dose. Nitrogen affected the chlorophyll index, with maximum values of 45.96 and 47.19, observed in the two evaluation periods. Conclusion: Planting time and N content in the soil interacted with plant height, being favorable in the period without precipitation. N influenced all the characteristics, demonstrating the importance of nitrogen fertilization in the development of okra plants.
