The urban solid waste (USW) emanating from the increasing urbanisation calls for concern. Integrating cart pushers into the private sector participation (PSP) may bridge the lacuna in sub-urban planning and PSP truck inefficiencies, especially in developing countries. There is a paucity of studies concerning cart pushers’ role in sub-urban and issues hindering them from achieving Sustainable Development Goals (1 and 11) in developing countries. Thus, the study seeks to appraise cart pushers’ role in Nigeria’s sub- and urban areas, investigate their challenges, and propose measures to improve the achievement of the Goals by integrating them into PSP waste management systems. The researchers utilised a qualitative approach using face-to-face interviews and observation. The study covered seven of Nigeria’s major cities, including Lagos, Kano, and Abuja. Forty semi-structured interviews were conducted. The participants include selected waste managers, NGOs in waste-related matters, cart pushers, legislators, households, environment and housing experts, and solid waste government agencies/regulators. The researchers adopted a thematic approach to analyse the collected data and presented it in a theme pattern. Findings reveal that despite the significance of cart pushers to the three pillars of sustainable development, including stimulating support for potential employment creation and sustainable cities and communities in Nigeria, they face challenges in their daily operation. The study proposed a revised USWM policy, where the informal waste sector should be embraced and recognised with specific rules and regulations. This is germane to improve achieving SDGs 1 and 11. This study holds significant implications for USWM policymakers and other stakeholders in embracing and integrating cart pushers into the formal waste collection process supported by statutory regulations to enhance practice. Also, this concept will increase employment opportunities and improve achieving Goals 1 and 11 in Nigeria.
Considering the need to adopt more sustainable agricultural systems, it is important that sweet potato breeding programs seek to increase not only root productivity, but also the productivity and quality of branches for silage production. The objective was to evaluate the genetic divergence and the importance of traits associated with the production and quality of branch silage in sweet potato genotypes. The experiment was conducted on the JK Campus of the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys in a randomized block design with 12 treatments and four repetitions. Twelve characteristics of branches and silage were evaluated. There was genetic variability between the genotypes, making it possible to select parents divergent for future breeding programs for silage production. The genotypes BD-54 and BD-31TO were the most divergent in relation to the others, being indicated its use in crossbreeding aiming the improvement of the culture for silage, once the high performance per se of all genotypes evaluated has already been verified in previous works. The characteristics Na, TDN and NDF were those that most contributed to the divergence.
One-dimensional unsteady theoretical models of three different photovoltaic module installation modes are established. Through MATLAB modeling and simulation, the influence of photovoltaic modules on roof heat transfer in different layout modes is compared. Comparing with ordinary roof, the shading effect of photovoltaic roof in summer and heat preservation effect in winter was analyzed. The results show that the PV roof layout with ventilation channel is better in summer. The proof layout with closed flow channel is better in winter.
Nowadays, more and more cars have begun to enter into innumerable families; the family car has become a necessity for Chinese households who have certain purchasing power. However, the ups and downs of oil prices have brought some impact on people's automobile consumption activities. Therefore, after collecting the information of the oil price and family car consumer, carried on through in-depth analysis of the relevant data with reasonable relationship, and then developed a suitable for China's national conditions and finished oil pricing model, thereby the National Development and Reform Commission have proposed the suggestion for China's refined oil pricing mechanisms and promoting the healthy development of new energy vehicles with specific measures. For question 1, through the problem analysis and information access, combined with the past and current situation of the domestic refined oil prices, we analyze the following seven factors: international crude oil prices, China's annual crude oil imports, China's annual crude oil exports, crude oil output in China, China's annual GDP per capita, China's annual consumption of crude oil, the total annual energy consumption in China, all have influence on China's refined oil prices. By monadic linear regression analysis, annual average prices of domestic refined oil products have a certain correlation with the various influencing factors, and then by multiple linear regression way eventually concluded the final relationship between oil prices and the influence factors, which compared with the current price, and make reasonable evaluation model. Through the establishment of various influencing factors and function of time, and using the evaluation model for refined oil product price to make reasonable forecast. According to this model, in order to predict refined oil product price as $122.15 per barrel in 2016. For question two, we basically sums up three key factor which influence the quantity of family vehicle: China's oil product prices, the annual GDP per capita, total road mileage. Through Excel to make the relationship curves of different quantity of family cars against influencing factors, and use Grey Forecasting method to forecast the quantity of family cars. And carries on the residual error test, it is used to conclude that the rationality of the model is highly. The number of private cars of the city of xi 'an is predicts that to 8.302 million vehicles by 2020. For question three, we discussed the relationship between international crude oil prices and domestic exports of crude oil export with domestic refined oil prices, through its multiple linear regressions to get the final pricing model. For question four, according to three previous established models, we proposed China's refined oil pricing mechanism proposal to the national development and Reform Commission: perfect price controls, deeper product market, and integration of resources consideration and environmental protection class tax types, adjust the consumption tax collection and Administration links, and improve the production cost accounting.
With the improvement of people's living standards, water heaters almost into the various households. In the energy-saving emission reduction has become the trend of the times today, saving energy and reducing carbon emissions is the most fashionable way of life. Air source heat pump water heaters are increasingly being used in people's lives. It is well known that it has many advantages, safety, energy saving, comfort, environmental protection, but there are some factors that affect its development and promotion. This paper mainly discusses the development history of air source heat pump technology at home and abroad, working principle, working flow, turbo technology at present stage, efficient heat exchange, and the research status of air source heat pump technology, such as new type refrigerant and dual frequency compression frequency conversion, then it discusses the application of air source heat pump technology, has the advantage, and finally discusses its application and the existence of two major problems and suggestions for improvement.
Two kinds of solar thermal power generation systems (trough and tower) are selected as the research objects. The life cycle assessment (LCA) method is used to make a systematic and comprehensive environmental impact assessment on the trough and tower solar thermal power generation. This paper mainly analyzes the three stages of materials, production and transportation of two kinds of solar thermal power generation, calculates the unit energy consumption and environmental impact of the three stages respectively, and compares the analysis results of the two systems. At the same time, Rankine cycle is used to compare the thermal efficiency of the two systems.
