Factors Influencing Professional Identity among Faculty in Private Higher Education Institutions in Chengdu, China

Professional identity among faculty members in private higher education institutions plays a vital role in shaping the quality and sustainability of these institutions. This research aims to investigate the factors influencing the professional identity of teachers in Chengdu's private higher education institutions. The study employs a theoretical framework centered on "identification" with behavior intention, behavior attitude, and sense of belonging as fundamental dimensions. Data were collected through questionnaire surveys and analyzed using SPSS 23.0. The study hypothesizes that behavior intention, behavior attitude, and sense of belonging have a significant positive impact on professional identity among faculty members. Additionally, behavior attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control are expected to have a significant positive influence on behavior intention, and subjective norms and perceived usefulness may positively affect sense of belonging. The results are expected to provide valuable insights for enhancing the professional satisfaction and educational quality of faculty in private higher education institutions.

The Influence of V-Girls APP on the Improvement of Female College Students' Health Literacy and Its Mechanism Analysis

This paper aims to explore the impact of V-Girls APP on the improvement of female college students' Health literacy and its mechanism. Using a questionnaire survey method, the survey subjects were female students from a certain university. The results showed that using the V-Girls app can significantly improve the health knowledge level, health behavior habits, and mental health status of female college students. Further analysis reveals that the impact mechanisms of V-Girls APP mainly include cognitive mechanisms, social support mechanisms, and behavioral guidance mechanisms. The results of this study provide new ways and ideas for improving female college students' Health literacy.

Computer programs for the solution of everyday problems are very common because of the speed with which results can be obtained, which by traditional methods would be very laborious and especially those in which the solutions take repeated calculations. The work intends to demonstrate how, through programming, applying the exact solution method, fast and precise results can be obtained on similarities and differences between different geometries in heat

transfer, which demonstrate the behavior, according to parameters, under equal conditions (geometric properties, diameters, lengths, thicknesses, volumes) and physical properties (thermal conductivity, specific heat and density), appreciating how they influence results such as cooling times, production according to the physical properties and design of the equipment, consumption rates, core and surface temperatures and others, according to the plastic pipe extrusion method, necessary in production processes that require constant monitoring.

Analysis of the Impact of Bai Language on English Pronunciation

The Bai ethnic group in China speaks Bai as their native tongue. The Bai are an ethnic group with a rich history and culture. In Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, the Bai are particularly prevalent in the ethnic Bai villages of the county and lower counties, where they frequently utilize the Bai language for daily communication. However, because their daily language is the first language that native Bai children are exposed to after birth, they do not start learning Chinese until they are in kindergarten (under the instruction of Chinese teachers who have strong Bai characteristics), and they do not start learning English until middle school. For students of Bai, this means that they intuitively pick up the languages of Bai and Chinese from their surroundings, but English is learned later through official schooling. The behaviorist theory holds that existing habits have an impact on the development of new ones. Children in Bai communities learn Bai as their first language, which conflicts with Mandarin and other languages. “Everyone generally receives new speech through the sounds of their own language phonologically (Sun,2004).” “People who study a foreign language like Chinese will unavoidably be influenced by their original tongue’s pronunciation tendencies to some level, and they frequently unwittingly transfer such habits to their foreign language.” Due to the lack of a language environment similar to that experienced when learning a native language, learners’ native thinking that has been implanted in the brain when learning a foreign language may impede the efficient development of foreign language acquisition. When learners come into contact with foreign languages, their mother tongue system has been established and native thinking habits have been formed. Therefore, it is crucial for local students to learn English fluently to investigate the impact of the phonetics of Bai language on English pronunciation acquisition.

Verbal Humor in Chinese Debate From the Perspective of Cooperative Principle ——Taking Let’s Talk for Example

This paper analyzes the conversational implicature of verbal humor based on Grice’s cooperative principle (CP) to explore its generative mechanism in Chinese debate, taking a debate talk show in China, Let’s Talk for example with qualitative analysis method. There are mainly three findings: firstly, the essence of debating language is violating the maxim of quantity. Secondly, sometimes it is necessary for debaters to confound some concepts to confuse opponents and create humor. Thirdly, the violations of CP frequently emerging in debating can be employed as a strong strategy to create humor, engage and persuade audience. This paper hopes to provide rhetorical and pragmatic strategies for debaters in Chinese debating.
