This study investigates how corruption impacts sustainability in African countries. Using public databases, the research draws on the African Development Bank’s corruption indicators and the World Bank’s financial inclusion metrics. The findings reveal that as financial inclusion increases, particularly through the use of digital financial services, perceptions of corruption decrease. However, economic growth paradoxically correlates with an increased perception of corruption due to rising consumption demands. The study concludes that promoting financial literacy, along with robust governance, is essential for combating corruption and fostering sustainable development.
Development of technologies and innovations encouraged companies to look for and implement innovative solutions in their practice seeking not only to increase the efficiency of activity but also towards sustainability. In this context, the aim of the research is to reveal innovative solutions for the improvement of the warehousing processes towards sustainability in the case of manufacturing companies. The methodological setup consists of two steps. First, a comprehensive literature analysis was conducted seeking to reveal and present a theoretical model based on the conceptual framework on this topic. Then, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 8 managers holding managerial positions in four Lithuanian manufacturing companies. The manufacturing companies were chosen for the research due to their durable experience in the market, which use advanced warehouse management methods in their operations. Main findings showed, that innovative solutions such as Big Data Datasets, smart networks, Drones, Robots, Internet of Things and etc., are important for the efficient warehousing processes. Furthermore, it is also necessary to emphasize the benefits of implementing of innovative solutions in warehousing processes not only in economic terms, but also for solving of social and environmental issues towards sustainability. The novelty of this study lies in its dual objective of filling a theoretical gap and of drawing the attention of companies and policy makers to the importance of innovative solutions implementation in the warehousing process towards sustainability.
This study investigates the core competencies essential for product designers to excel in cross-cultural global markets, with particular emphasis on implications for human resource development and organizational leadership. As design practices increasingly transcend cultural and geographical boundaries, designers are required to integrate advanced technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, technological adaptability, and cultural intelligence to create inclusive, socially responsible, and market-relevant products. Employing a mixed-methods approach—including focus groups and surveys with design professionals, industry executives, and academic leaders—the research identifies key competencies such as flexibility, intercultural communication, ethical integrity, and systems thinking. The findings underscore the necessity of balancing technical expertise with emotional intelligence and transformational leadership capabilities to effectively lead diverse, cross-functional teams. These competencies contribute significantly to fostering innovation, enhancing employee well-being and job satisfaction, and strengthening organizational resilience, thereby supporting sustainable human resource strategies. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of continuous professional development and lifelong learning in cultivating culturally competent and ethically driven design talent. The insights offer strategic guidance for human resource professionals, organizational leaders, and educational institutions aiming to develop adaptive, inclusive, and future-ready design capabilities aligned with evolving global demands.

The increasing demand for sustainable goods and services, driven by pressing social and environmental issues, opens doors for entrepreneurs to establish companies that address these concerns. Moreover, automation and technological advancements have revolutionized the operational landscape of firms, providing entrepreneurs with novel opportunities to enhance efficiency and foster creativity. However, thriving in this dynamic environment necessitates a fresh skill set and innovative approaches. Entrepreneurs must actively acquire the requisite technological expertise to leverage the potential of intelligent automation while navigating the intricate legislative and social frameworks surrounding sustainability. Furthermore, they must demonstrate agility and adaptability, adept at pivoting strategies and offerings to align with the evolving business panorama. This study’s exploration of the intersection of automation and entrepreneurship resonates deeply with the principles of sustainability. By dissecting the challenges and strategies entrepreneurs use to embrace automation, the research contributes valuable insights to the ongoing discourse on feasible business practices within the context of burgeoning sustainability. The findings will assist policymakers by providing useful information to cultivate an environment conducive to sustainable, technology-based entrepreneurship.
