The world has never been more developed, yet humanity is on the brink of irreversible environmental loss. Despite the urgency of the situation, there is a limited body of studies addressing environmental concerns in higher education institution, particularly in developing countries, i.e., Saudi Arabia. Sustainable development is the only viable solution, albeit it requires the courage to initiate and sustain efforts dedicated to preserving the environment for the well-being of future generation. The article delves into this issue and examines the impact of environmental education program (EEP) on environmental performance (EP) via waste minimization behaviour (WMB). The research involved meticulous data collection from a sample of 597 students, representing diverse genders and academic specialties at the esteemed public university—King Faisal University (KFU) in Saudi Arabia. The study used statistical software (including SPSS and AMOS, v 25) for rigorous analysis and revealed significant findings. Firstly, the study showed a significant and positive relationship between EEP and EP. Secondly, it revealed a significant and positive association between EEP and WMB. Thirdly, the study ascertained a significant and positive association between WMB and EP. Finally, the study found that the relationship between EEP and EP remains significant even after presenting WMB as a mediator, proposing that WMB has a partial mediation role between EEP and EP. The results highlighted the significance role of EEP in stimulating WMB and achieving EP in the Saudi universities, which contributes to national initiative of green Saudia.
This study explores the interactions between inflation and stock market. We carried out a bibliometric analysis with R package to highlight the worldwide research trends in the field, covering the period of three crises (financial, health crisis and war of Ukraine). Next, using monthly data for the period from 1 March 2020 to 31 August 2023 and based on a vector autoregressive model, impulse response and variance decomposition are performed to explore the dynamic relationships between inflation and Greek stock market. The results reveal the existence of high volatility in Athens’ stock market during COVID-19 pandemic, owning to a shock of the inflation. Regarding the period of Ukrainian war, the study verified the Fama’s hypothesis that there is a negative relationship between inflation and stock returns. The findings have significant implications for investors and policy makers.
This study aims to determine the effect of Human Capital Management (HCM) and work ethics on the performance of life insurance agents mediated by Organizational Citizenship Behavior-Organization (OCB-O) and Organizational Citizenship Behavior-Individual (OCB-I). The data was collected from 103 respondents who had entered the category of having won the Top Agent Awards (TAA) using a survey approach with questionnaires. The population consisted of life insurance agents who had won the TAA/MDRT, a 5 Likert scale questionnaire, and analyses using the SEM-AMOS-21 program. The results prove HCM has a positive significant effect on work ethics; HCM does not have a substantial impact on OCB-O and OCB-I; Work Ethics have a considerable effect on OCB-I and OCB-O; OCB-O and OCB-I have no significant impact on performance; HCM does not have a substantial effect on performance; Work Ethics does not have a considerable impact on performance, however, if OCB-I mediates HCM it will strengthening agent Performance, likewise, Work Ethics if mediated by OCB-I, will strengthening Performance. The findings of this study are that for insurance agents to perform well, companies can treat agents as HCM and work ethics, and it is essential to pay attention to OCB-I as mediation in improving agent performance.
The study’s purpose is to investigate the relationship effect of innovation on online organizational learning applications and employees’ engagement in the Jordanian public sector. Quantities and descriptive analytical approach were used, and the population was covered (10) Jordanian public departments in Amman capital. Convenience method was used, which covered all departments’ managers and assistances in the Jordanian public services department’s headquarters, with (284) employee. Electronic survey set used. The SPSS-V20 and AMOS-V24 were used for hypotheses statistical analysis testing. The study found a significant impact of online organizational learning applications in its dimensions (Zoom, Teams, Goto Meeting, and Google Meet) on employee’s engagement, and a significant relationship of innovation between online organizational learning applications and employee’s engagement in Jordanian public services departments. The study contributions show that employees are willing to engage with their occupied work to achieve work goals, and to control over of how they undertake the employees career development, empowerment, communication skills, and work completion competences. The study implications for organizations management to conduct more future studies concerning online organizational learning applications by other dimensions as well as social media and other digital workshop and training in different organizations environments.
This study aims at predicting the interrelationship between among Chat GPT with its six dimensions, tourist’s satisfaction and Chat GPT usage intention as perceived by tourist, and as well as to examine the moderating effect of traditional tour operator services on the relationships between all the variables. Data were collected from 624 tourists. The study hypotheses were tested and the direct and indirect effects between variables were examined using the PLS-SEM. The SEM results showed that Chat GPT’s six dimensions have a positive and significant direct impact on tourist’s satisfaction, and emphasis the moderating role of Traditional Tour Operator Services “TTOS” on the relationship between GPT’s six dimensions and “TS”, and on the relationship between ‘TS” and Chat GPT usage intention. These findings yield valuable insights for everyone interested in the use of IT in the tourism industry, and provide effective strategies for optimizing the use of technological applications by traditional tour operators.
