This study investigates the evolution of monetary policy in Ghana and explores the potential of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), specifically the e-Cedi, as a tool to enhance financial inclusion and modernize the country’s financial system. Ghana’s monetary policy framework has undergone significant transformations since the establishment of the Bank of Ghana in 1957, with notable achievements in stabilizing the economy and managing inflation. However, large segments of the population, particularly in rural areas, remain unbanked or underbanked, highlighting the limitations of traditional monetary tools. The introduction of the e-Cedi presents an opportunity to bridge these gaps by providing secure, efficient, and accessible financial services to underserved communities. The study employs a qualitative research design, integrating historical analysis, case studies, and thematic analysis to assess the potential benefits and challenges of CBDCs in Ghana. Key findings indicate that while the e-Cedi could significantly enhance financial inclusion, challenges related to technological infrastructure, cybersecurity, and public trust must be addressed. The study concludes that a balanced approach, which prioritizes digital infrastructure development, strong cybersecurity measures, and collaboration with financial institutions, is essential for maximizing the potential of CBDCs in Ghana. Recommendations for future research include a deeper exploration of the impact of CBDCs on financial stability and further analysis of rural adoption barriers.
State-owned enterprises (SOEs) manage significant portion of world economy, including in the developing countries. SOEs are expected to be active and play significant role in improving the country’s economic performance and welfare through enhancing innovation performance. However, closed innovation process and lack of collaboration hinders SOEs to reach satisfying innovation performance level. This paper explores the construction and role of innovation ecosystem in the strategic entrepreneurship process of SOEs, of which is represented by dynamic capability framework, business model innovation, and collaborative advantage. Based on the analysis, this paper concluded that the collaboration between actors in the Innovation Ecosystem (IE) has positive effect to strengthening SOE’s Sensing Capabilities (SC) related to the process of exploring and identifying innovation opportunities. The increase of Sensing Capabilities (SC) will play significant role as input or antecedent on formulating proactive Innovation Strategy (IS) in orchestrating SOE’s innovation process. SOEs which has implementing proactive Innovation Strategy (IS) will be able to build collaboration and finding right Business Model Innovation (BMI). Finally, by building collaboration with other actors through the innovative business model has significant role to increase SOE’s Collaborative Advantage (CA), which considered as a proxy for competitiveness of SOEs.
In the realm of evolving e-commerce sales channels, the e-commerce sale of agricultural products has become a vital avenue for cherry farmers. However, a notable discrepancy exists between the intentions and actual behaviors of cherry farmers regarding e-commerce participation. In this study, binary logistic regression and interpretive structural model were used, and the cherry producing area of Yantai City, Shandong Province, China, was taken as the study area, and a total of 501 actual valid questionnaires were returned, and the validity rate of the questionnaires was 95.1 per cent. The results of the study show that the deviation of cherry farmers’ willingness and behavior is mainly affected by age, frequency of online shopping, whether to participate in e-commerce training, and whether to join a cooperative in farmers’ individual characteristics, revenue expectations and profit expectations in behavioral attitudes, government publicity and neighborhood effects in subjective norms, e-commerce use in perceived behavioral attitudes, the number of agricultural population in household resource endowment and logistics costs and e-commerce training in external scenarios Impact. On this basis, the 11 influencing factors are analyzed in depth and three transmission paths are analyzed. The study further proposes recommendations to enhance the translation of cherry farmers’ e-commerce intentions into action, such as bolstering e-commerce promotion, increasing the frequency of training, improving supporting infrastructure, and reducing logistics costs.
In the present research work, we investigated the use of the image intensifier in the extraction of radiopaque foreign bodies in traumatology. First of all, it is necessary to clarify that this method constitutes an essential component of practically generalized use, in which low current level radiation is used, that is, fluoroscopic radiation, so that it can be applied for a considerably longer time than that of the longest radiographic exposure. This tool works with a tube intended for this purpose, which is known as fluoroscopy. The radiations from the tube pass through the patient and reach the serigraph, on which the image intensifier or fluoroscopic screen is mounted. In the latter case, this is where the chain ends, since it is on this screen that the image is formed and where the physician directly observes the region to be studied. It is also necessary to define that a foreign body is any element foreign to the body that enters it, either through the skin or through any natural orifice such as the eyes, nose, throat, preventing its normal functioning. It was possible to obtain as a result that the advantages of fluoroscopic navigation are the reduction of surgical time and the amount of irradiation, which goes from about 140 seconds without navigation to only 8 seconds, which is a substantial difference. Among the conclusions, it was possible to highlight that in the case of a radiopaque object, it is essential to have an image intensifier for localization of the foreign body during surgery; while in the case of a radiolucent foreign body, it is more advisable to locate it through the clinic, since these tend to form granulomas.
