The study aims to explore the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing the efficiency of public relations practitioners in Jordanian telecommunication companies. This study belongs to the category of descriptive research and adopted a survey methodology. The study surveyed (86) individuals representing the community of public relations practitioners and customer service personnel in the Jordanian telecommunication companies Zain and Orange.The study findings revealed that less experienced public relations personnel in Zain and Orange, with less than five years of experience, exhibit greater acceptance and enthusiasm for using artificial intelligence applications compared to their more experienced counterparts. The study also indicated that most public relations practitioners in Zain and Orange perceive artificial intelligence applications to have a moderate to significant contribution to achieving public relations functions and enhancing their work, reflecting technological advancement and the need to adapt to rapid changes in the business environment. Moreover, the study also discussed the limits, including that artificial intelligence can analyze large amounts of data related to the market and the audience, which provides further research and study.
Doping by athletes is a serious problem plaguing competitive sports around the world. Reviewing history, the traditional British endurance race is the source of doping in modern sports. Science and technology is the main driving force of social development. The competitive level of human beings has reached the height close to the limit of human potential, and it is difficult to improve sports performance by using conventional training methods, which makes athletes seek external and powerful means to improve their performance, and the achievements of natural science just meet this demand. This has also become a seemingly unavoidable phenomenon. On the one hand, this practice has been condemned by the public, on the other hand, it has become a serious problem in sports.
The internationalization of higher education began to take shape during the period of the Republic of China. This trend manifested in various forms and encompassed a rich array of activities, including the construction of teaching staffs, the exchange of international students, and the presence of overseas scholars giving lectures in China. Between 1899 and 1945, Japanese institutions sent nearly 200 academic overseas students to China. With the establishment and improvement of the internal system of universities in the Republic of China, these students were able to study and interact with Chinese scholars. The forms of communication were diverse, the content was rich, and the channels were smooth, making the process lively and interesting with distinct characteristics of the era. Consequently, this group became both participants and witnesses in the internationalization process of universities in the Republic of China. However, the full-scale Anti-Japanese War disrupted the internationalization of universities, causing it to deviate from its normal trajectory. Some Japanese academic overseas students who had previously studied in China became instruments of Japanese imperialism’s cultural invasion and educational colonization. These students played a significant role in promoting the “alternative internationalization” of universities in the Republic of China. In short, examining the involvement of Japanese academic overseas students providing us a unique insight into the general situation and processes of internationalization at universities in the Republic of China during different historical periods.
This study investigates the awareness of environmentally friendly (green) dentistry practices among dental students and faculty at Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates. The primary objective is to assess their understanding and application of eco-friendly dental practices, including waste management, energy conservation, and sustainable material usage. Using a descriptive cross-sectional design, an online survey was administered to 231 randomly selected participants. The results show that although awareness of green dentistry has increased, its practical implementation remains limited. Specialists displayed the highest levels of knowledge and practice, while general practitioners demonstrated the least. Male participants showed greater experience and expertise compared to females, and the age group of 30–39 exhibited the highest levels of knowledge and practice, although age was not found to significantly affect awareness or usage. The findings highlight the need for enhanced education and encouragement of green dentistry to protect the environment and promote sustainable dental practices.
This research paper aims to benchmark the characteristics of financial systems for 102 countries worldwide from the period of 2005 to 2017. The financial systems’ database encompasses four main dimensions, each consisting of several variables for every indicator: (a) financial depth, (b) financial efficiency, (c) financial access, and (d) financial stability. The objective is to closely analyse the different factors that contribute to the attractiveness of financial and economic systems globally. Furthermore, this paper employs a literature review and an empirical modelling and classification of financial systems worldwide to assess their attractiveness. The modelling process utilizes two statistical analysis methods: discriminant analysis (PCA) and neural analysis. By doing so, this research paper aims to identify the most appropriate measures to strengthen these systems and economies. The main conclusion of the research is to establish a ranking of the world’s best countries and also the validation of the hypothesis that macroeconomic conditions are the effective determinants of the classification dimensions of financial systems.
Leukemia is a major public health problem in China, but epidemiological studies on leukemia in China are still insufficient. This study aims to analyze leukemia's disease burden and risk factors in China from 2010 to 2021 and provide a basis for leukemia prevention and treatment. Using data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database, trends in the burden of leukemia in China from 2010 to 2021 were analyzed. Additionally, epidemiological differences by gender and age groups were explored. In 2021, there were 531,000 leukemia patients in China, with 106,000 new cases and 59,000 deaths. Compared to 2010, the mortality rate and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) per 100,000 population in 2021 decreased by 5% and 18%, respectively, while the incidence and prevalence rates increased by 12% and 29%, respectively. Gender and age stratification indicated that males had higher rates across all indicators than females, and elderly individuals faced higher leukemia mortality and DALYs. The most significant decrease in DALYs was observed in children and adolescents under 20. The highest burden of leukemia for males was found in the 85–90 age group, while for females, it was in the 70–74 age group. Major risk factors for leukemia included smoking, high BMI, and exposure to carcinogens, benzene, and formaldehyde. The overall burden of leukemia in China showed a decreasing trend, with significant gender and age differences. More measures are needed to reduce leukemia mortality, particularly focusing on the prevention and treatment of leukemia in males and the elderly.
