Innovation can be applied in every aspect of life. Similarly, innovation can support the implementation of an accountable education system and support regional competitiveness. Innovation is easy to echo, but difficult to implement. Especially with regard to the Education curriculum which is based on many teaching norms. For this reason, the independent curriculum is a bridge for students and teachers in pouring their innovative ideas through projects that link and match with the world of Education. The problem is that not all schools in Boyolali Regency dare to experiment. There are only 20 schools that seem to be making innovations from the total number of schools as many as ± 400 school units. Qualitative descriptive study method with analysis through problem trees. The result of the study is that an innovation model will be created three concepts, namely Training model, professional Development and Capability Development using problem-based learning methods, project-based learning and discovery learning.
This study investigates university students’ understanding of the mole concept and its implications for chemistry education, highlighting the critical role of mathematical education. A questionnaire was administered to 303 students from universities in Panama, Mexico, Cuba, Chile, and Spain. The results reveal that only 29.7% of participants recognize the mole as a fundamental unit, while 20.8% confuse the amount of substance with a non-existent “Chemical System.” Only 18.5% correctly identified the substance quantity symbol as “n” and 32.7% were aware that Wilhelm Ostwald introduced the term mole, indicating deficiencies in historical knowledge. The significance of these findings highlights major misconceptions and gaps in both conceptual understanding and historical knowledge, underscoring the urgent need for revised teaching strategies. Addressing these issues is crucial for bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, thereby enhancing instructional methods and optimizing chemistry education to improve students’ comprehension of fundamental concepts.
This study aims to predict whether university students will make efficient use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming years, using a statistical analysis that predicts the outcome of a binary dependent variable (in this case, the efficient use of AI). Several independent variables, such as digital skills management or the use of Chat GPT, are considered. The results obtained allow us to know that inefficient use is linked to the lack of digital skills or age, among other factors, whereas Social Sciences students have the least probability of using Chat GPT efficiently, and the youngest students are the ones who make the worst use of AI.
Good health and well-being are embedded in the 3rd Goal amongst the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The primary objective of this research was to identify the most critical economic, social, and administrative barriers to implementing the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. A sequential exploratory design and case study technique were used, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods. In the first stage, in-depth interviews with 50 key officials were conducted to identify the most critical barriers to the EPI program. A quantitative analysis was then performed based on the results obtained from qualitative analysis, and rank orders of barriers were received from the same health department experts. The results indicate that twenty-eight barriers can cause implementation problems for this program. Still, the ten barriers that gained the maximum hits are the most important barriers, which include Shortage of vaccinators, mismanagement of vaccines’ cold chain, biometric android application, ice-lined refrigerators, communication gap, inadequate legislation of EPI program, capacity building issues with EPI staff, Misconceptions about EPI program, lack of awareness of the parents and community, refusal cases and inadequate cooperation of lady health workers (LHWs). Coordinated efforts of the government and the public are highly recommended to address these barriers.
The present study focuses on improving Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) based on applying machine learning to spectrum sensing in remote learning scenarios. Remote education requires connection dependability and continuity that can be affected by the scarcity of the amount of usable spectrum and suboptimal spectrum usage. The solution for the proposed problem utilizes deep learning approaches, namely CNN and LSTM networks, to enhance the spectrum detection probability (92% detection accuracy) and consequently reduce the number of false alarms (5% false alarm rate) to maximize spectrum utilization efficiency. By developing the cooperative spectrum sensing where many users share their data, the system makes detection more reliable and energy-saving (achieving 92% energy efficiency) which is crucial for sustaining stable connections in educational scenarios. This approach addresses critical challenges in remote education by ensuring scalability across diverse network conditions and maintaining performance on resource-constrained devices like tablets and IoT sensors. Combining CRNs with new technologies like IoT and 5G improves their capabilities and allows these networks to meet the constantly changing loads of distant educational systems. This approach presents another prospect to spectrum management dilemmas in that education delivery needs are met optimally from any STI irrespective of the availability of resources in the locale. The results show that together with machine learning, CRNs can be considered a viable path to improving the networks' performance in the context of remote learning and advancing the future of education in the digital environment. This work also focuses on how machine learning has enabled the enhancement of CRNs for education and provides robust solutions that can meet the increasing needs of online learning.
service-learning activities are effective in higher education programmes. During the COVID-19 period, universities have implemented this methodology and students have improved their social and practical skills. The purpose of this article is to analyse the role of higher education in the process of adapting teaching based on experiences designed for students to serve the community. This research presents the results of a specific service-learning experience of 35 students from the Teamworking programme during the academic years 2020–21 (online) and 2021–22 (face-to-face), in collaboration with the San Juan de Dios Foundation in Madrid, which provides care for people with disabilities. Students evaluated the experience through a quantitative study based on a questionnaire previously developed by Folgueiras (2013), divided into four dimensions. Students also provided some feedback, explaining that this experience changed their perception of people with disabilities, considering the personal value of contributing to social inclusion through service learning. The results show that through the Folgueiras model, students have strengthened their social skills and competences, and through an applied training project that offers the opportunity to build a real relationship through different activities, where learning was at the centre of the interaction between students and young people with disabilities. In conclusion, although the evaluation was positive in terms of the students’ professional and human development, this project requires continuous improvement in the long term, since the subjectivity of human relationships follows a dynamic course with variables that are sensitive to time and individual experience.
