Electricity generation around the world is mainly produced by using non-renewable energy sources especially in the commercial buildings. However, Rooftop solar Photovoltaic (PV) system produced a significant impact on environmental and economical benefits in comparison to the conventional energy sources, thus contributing to sustainable development. Such PV’s system encourages the production of electricity without greenhouse gas emissions that leads to a clean alternative to fossil fuels and economic prosperity even in less developed areas. However, efficiency of rooftop solar PV systems depends on many factors, the dominant being geographical (latitude, longitude, and solar intensity), environmental (temperature, wind, humidity, pollution, dust, rain, etc.) and the type of PV (from raw material extraction and procurement, to manufacturing, disposal, and/or recycling) used. During the feasibility analysis of the environment, geographical conditions are keep in well consideration, but the pollution level of the city is always overlooked, which significantly influences the performance of the PV installations.
Therefore, this research work focused on the performance of rooftop solar PV installed in one of the most polluted city in India. Here, the loss in power generation of rooftop solar PV has been studied for the effect of deposited dust particles, wind velocity before and after the cleaning of the panels. The actual data has been utilized for the calculation of the energy efficiency and power output of the PV systems. According to the results, it has been concluded that dust deposition, wind speed and pollution level in city significantly reduces the efficiency of solar photovoltaic panel. Hence, an overview of social and environmental impacts of PV technologies is presented in this paper along with potential benefits and pitfalls.
The project of returning farmland to forest is a new project of increasing farmers' income, ecological efficiency and
benefiting the country. The key to the success of returning farmland to forest project is to strictly control the key technologies such as regional planning, forest species selection, tree species selection, good seedling, structural configuration, meticulous soil preparation, serious planting, tending and management. According to the actual
situation of Yuanling County, suitable for the tree, choose the market prospects, fast-growing tree species afforestation,
reasonable adjustment of forest structure, ecological benefits and economic benefits simultaneously, take high-
quality high-yield and efficient forestry development. Returning farmland to forest project has played huge ecological benefits, economic and social benefits.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of potassium concentrations applied via fertigation on the growth, yield and chemical composition of eggplant ‘Ciça’ in a distroferric red Latosol. The treatments were composed of five concentrations of K2O (0, 36, 72, 108 and 144 kg ha-1 supplied via fertigation), using potassium chloride as a source, divided into six applications. The irrigation system was of the drip type and irrigation management was done via a “Class A” evaporometer tank. Harvest started at 62 days after transplanting (DAT) and lasted for five months. The variables evaluated were: plant height, number of leaves, fresh fruit mass, number of fruits per plant, yield per plant, productivity and classification of the fruits according to their length and diameter. At 85 DAT, fruit were collected for characterization as to the percentage of lipids, proteins and fibers. Although the potassium fertigation in cover provided a reduction in the production and productivity, the concentrations of 36 kg ha-1 and 72 kg ha-1 of K2O applied via fertigation, increased the physical-chemical characteristics of the fruits.
The micro staring hyperspectral imager can simultaneously acquire two spatial and one spectral images, and only record the external orientation elements of the entire hyperspectral image rather than the external orientation elements of each frame of the image, which avoids the geometric instability during scanning, effectively solves the problem of large geometric deformation of the small line scanning hyperspectral imager, and is suitable for the small UAV load platform with unstable attitude. At present, most of the research focuses on the radio-metric correction method of line scan hyperspectral imager. The application time of staring hyperspectral imager is short, and there is no mature data processing re-search at home and abroad, which hinders the application of UAV micro staring hyperspectral imaging system. In this paper, the calibration method of the linearity and variability of the radiation response of the micro staring hyperspectral imager on the UAV is studied, and the effectiveness of this method is quantitatively evaluated. The results show that the hyperspectral image has obvious vignetting effect and strip phenomenon before the correction of radiation response variability. After the correction, the radiation response variation coefficient of pixels in different bands decreases significantly, and the vignetting effect and image strip decrease significantly. In this paper, a multi-target radiometric calibration method is proposed, and the accuracy of radiometric calibration is verified by comparing the calibrated hyperspectral image spectrum with the measured ground object spectrum of the ground spectrometer. The results show that the calibration results of the multi-target radiometric calibration method show better results, especially for the near-infrared band, and the difference with the surface reflectance measured by the spectrometer is small.
As an important ecosystem type in the coastal zone, mangroves have important ecological functions, such as maintaining coastal biodiversity, preventing wind and consolidating the coast, promoting silt and building land. It is of great significance to understand the protected status of mangroves in the context of climate change and rapid urbanization. Based on the mangrove classification data from remote sensing interpretation, through vacancy analysis, the in-situ protection status of mangroves in China is analyzed. The results show that the total area of mangroves distributed in China is 264 km2 (excluding the statistical data of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), of which 61.4% are protected in natural reserves. In terms of the main provinces where mangroves are distributed, the mangrove area distributed in Hainan Province is small but the protection proportion is high, while the mangrove area distributed in Guangxi and Guangdong Province is large but the proportion of protected areas is relatively low. Among the three mangrove types, Rhizophora apiculate-Xylocarpus granatum and Rhizophora stylosa-Bruguiera gymnorrhiza had high proportions (>90%) covered by reserves, but relatively small areas. In contrast, Kandelia candel-Aegiceras corniculatum-Avicennia marina had relatively low reserve coverage (52.6%), but a large area. The study puts forward the key areas of mangrove distribution outside the nature reserve, and suggests that they should be protected by delimiting ecological protection red lines.
