This research introduces a novel framework integrating stochastic finite element analysis (FEA) with advanced circular statistical methods to optimize heat pump efficiency under material uncertainties. The proposed methodologies and optimization focus on balancing the mean efficiency and variability by adjusting the concentration parameter of the Von Mises distribution, which models directional variability in thermal conductivity. The study highlights the superiority of the Von Mises distribution in achieving more consistent and efficient thermal performance compared to the uniform distribution. We also conducted a sensitivity analysis of the parameters for further insights. The results show that optimal tuning of the concentration parameter can significantly reduce efficiency variability while maintaining a mean efficiency above the desired threshold. This demonstrates the importance of considering both stochastic effects and directional consistency in thermal systems, providing robust and reliable design strategies.
Small watershed ecological compensation is an important economic means to solve the contradiction between protecting the ecological environment and developing the economy. Taking the Changtian small watershed in the Xixiu District of Anshun City as an example, this paper uses the ecological service function value method to roughly calculate the ecological service function value of the small watershed ecosystem: the ecological service function value of the Changtian small watershed is 913.586 million yuan, and the total amount of ecological compensation is 11.6245 million yuan, of which the farmland system compensation is 1.3194 million yuan, the forest system compensation is 7.5336 million yuan, and the water system compensation is 256,000 yuan, The compensation for the fruit forest system is 2,515,500 yuan. Based on the value of ecosystem service function, the compensated and non-compensated ecosystem service functions are distinguished, and the equivalent factors that different ecosystems can provide compensated ecosystem functions are expressed, so that the determination of ecological compensation amount is scientific and more accurate, and then provides a basis for the determination of ecological compensation standard of the small watershed.
Objective: To investigate the value of differential diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cirrhotic nodules via radiomics models based on magnetic resonance images. Background: This study is to distinguish hepatocellular carcinoma and cirrhotic nodules using MR-radiomics features extracted from four different phases of MRI images, concluded T1WI, T2WI, T2 SPIR and delay phase of contrast MRI. Methods: In this study, the four kind of magnetic resonance images of 23 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were collected. Among them, 12 patients with liver cirrhosis were used to obtain cirrhotic nodules (CN). The dataset was used to extract MR-radiomics features from regions of interest (ROI). The statistical methods of MRradiomics features could distinguish HCC and CN. And the ability of radiomics features between HCC and CN was estimated by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC). Results: A total of 424 radiomics features were extracted from four kind of magnetic resonance images. 86 features in delay phase of contrast MRI,86 features in spir phase of T2WI,86 features in T1WI and 88 features in T2WI showed statistical difference (p < 0.05). Among them, the area under the curves (AUC) of these features larger than 0.85 were 58 features in delay phase of contrast MRI, 54 features in spir phase of T2WI, 62 features in T1WI and 57 features in T2WI. Conclusions: Radiomics features extracted from MRI images have the potential to distinguish HCC and CN.
Salicylaldehyde imine transition metal catalyst is a kind of olefin polymerization catalyst that is widely used in the coordination of salicylaldehyde imine ligand and pre-transition metal. Salicylaldehyde imine ligands have the characteristic of easily inserting different substituents via organic synthesis. Therefore, the regulation of the polymerization activity, polymerization product, and product distribution can be achieved by changing the steric hindrance effect, the electronic effect, and the number of metal active sites near the catalytic active center. The development status of the transition metal catalyst of salicylaldehyde imide was summarized in this paper. The influence of the ligand structure of the salicylaldehyde imide transition metal catalyst on the catalytic performance, which involved the high selectivity of ethylene trimerization, ethylene/α-olefin, polar monomer copolymerization, ethylene polymerization production, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, and many other areas of olefin polymerization, was elaborated, providing references for further study and industrial applications of this catalyst.
The study examines the impact of various theories on the reflection and transmission phenomena caused by obliquely incident longitudinal and transverse waves at the interface between a continuously elastic solid half-space and a thermoelastic half-space, using multiple thermoelastic models. Numerical calculations reveal that the thermoelastic medium supports one transmitted transverse wave and two transmitted longitudinal waves. The modulus of amplitude proportions is analyzed as a function of the angle of incidence, showing distinct variations across the studied models. Energy ratios, derived from wave amplitudes under consistent surface boundary conditions for copper, are computed and compared across angles of incidence. The results demonstrate that the total energy ratio consistently sums to one, validating energy conservation principles. Graphical comparisons of amplitude proportions and energy ratios for SV and P waves across different models illustrate significant differences in wave behavior, emphasizing the influence of thermoelastic properties on wave transmission and reflection.
The objective of this research is to examine the effects of income inequality, governance quality, and their interaction on environmental quality in Asian countries. Time series data are obtained from 45 Asian countries for the period 1996–2020 for this empirical analysis. The research has performed various econometric tests to ensure the robustness and reliability of the results. We have addressed different econometric issues, such as autocorrelation, heteroskedasticity, and cross-sectional dependence, using the Driscoll-Kraay (DK) standard error estimation and endogeneity issues by the system generalized method of moments (S-GMM). The results of the study revealed that income inequality and governance quality have a positive impact on environmental degradation, while the interaction of governance quality with income inequality has a negative effect on it. In addition, economic growth, population growth, urbanization, and natural resource dependency are found to deteriorate the quality of the environment. The findings of the study offer insightful policies to reduce environmental degradation in Asian countries.
