The reform of the training mode for English majors in the context of the new liberal arts is a dynamic process that conforms to social needs, continuously improves and optimizes. After a series of special investigations, this article proposes development ideas for the cultivation of English majors in local applied undergraduate universities based on the analysis of the demand for English majors' abilities in the job market. The aim is to solve the problems of unclear characteristics of English major talent cultivation in local applied undergraduate universities and weak competitiveness of graduates in employment.

The epidemic has had a great impact on people and improved students' awareness of paying attention to their own health. Through the investigation of higher vocational students, the author and the research team collected 4741 questionnaires for research and analysis, and analyzed the data in four aspects: the impact of the epidemic on sports concept and psychology, the impact of intelligent equipment on physical exercise, the purpose of sports activities and the selection of online teaching content, and the impact of gender differences. This paper puts forward some suggestions on the development of online teaching of physical education courses in higher vocational colleges.

As China’s urbanisation continues, the building area is expanding, of which the occupancy of rural residential buildings is also very large. However, most rural buildings have poor thermal performance. This paper analyses the energy-saving potential of green facades for rural buildings in China by simulating typical buildings with different types of facades in rural China. The simulation results show that indirect green façades can achieve good energy savings. Buildings with four types of facades: red brick, rubble, hollow brick, and concrete achieve energy savings of 18.39%, 17.85%, 14.47%, and 11.52%, respectively, after retrofitting with green facades.

Mind map is a new way of thinking that visualizes and visualizes radioactive thinking. Its concise construction and clear expression can, on the one hand, convey the ideas of language expressors more quickly and quickly, and on the other hand. On the one hand, it can make the language receiver easier and clearer to understand the message the other party wants to convey.This paper analyzes the application rules of mind map in classroom teaching, and expounds the application strategy of mind map in primary Chinese oral communication teaching from three aspects: picture-text combination, picture-introduction, and picture-introduction. The effective development of primary school students' innovative thinking and logical ability promotes the effective improvement of primary school students' oral communication skills.

The educational-instructional process, specific to the preschool age of 4–5 years, is oriented towards the formation of children’s motor and cognitive skills. As part of physical activities in preschool education, various exercises are performed to strengthen motor and verbal responses. Light physical exercises and movement games are used to improve motor skills and verbal ability. The present research was carried out on a group of 20 preschoolers, using an experimental methodology, with the help of One-Group Pre-test and Post Test Design. Based on the statistical analysis of the data obtained from the motor skills evaluation tests and the cognitive skills evaluation tests, the value p < 0.001 indicates a positive statistical significance between the pre-test and the post-test. The values of Cohen’s D coefficient by which the effect size was evaluated indicate its great influence (D = 0.893). In conclusion, the differences between the pre-test and post-test values show significant progress, which underlines the effectiveness of the intervention aimed at improving motor and cognitive skills in preschoolers.
