In rural areas, land use activities around primary arterial roads influence the road section’s traffic characteristics. Regulations dictate the design of primary arterial roads to accommodate high speeds. Hence, there is a mix of traffic between high-speed vehicles and vulnerable road users (pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles) around the land. As a result, researchers have identified several arterial roads in Indonesia as accident-prone areas. Therefore, to improve the road user’s safety on primary arterial roads, it is necessary to develop models of the influence of various factors on road traffic accidents. This research uses binary logistic regression analysis. The independent variables are carelessness, disorderliness, high speed, horizontal alignment, road width, clear zone, road shoulder width, signs, markings, and land use. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is the frequency of accidents, where the frequency of accidents consists of multi-accident vehicles (MAV) and single-accident vehicles (SAV). This study collects data for a traffic accident prediction model based on collision frequency in accident-prone areas. The results, road shoulder width, and road sign factor all have an impact on the frequency of traffic accidents. According to a realistic risk analysis, MAV and SAV have no risk difference. After validation, this model shows a confidence level of 92%. This demonstrates that the model generates estimations that accurately reflect reality and are applicable to a wider population. This research has the potential to assist engineers in improving road safety on primary arterial roads. In addition, the model can help the government measure the impact of implemented policies and engage the public in traffic accident prevention efforts.
Personal data privacy regulation and mitigation are critical in implementing financial technology (fintech). Problems with fintech users’ data might result from data breaches, improper usage, and trade. Issues with personal data will result in financial losses, crimes, and violations of personal information. This legal research used three approaches: conceptual, comparative, and statute-based. In order to implement the statutory method, all laws and regulations pertaining to the legal concerns of information technology, fintech, personal data security, and protection are reviewed. Due to the nature of the sources of data, this study mainly used literature study and document observation to collect the data. Then, legal interpretation, legal reasoning, and legal argumentation are all included in the qualitative juridical analysis. This article recommends two strategies that Indonesia should take to provide personal data protection, including: 1) establishing the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC); and 2) improving the financial literacy of consumers.
Nowadays, customer service in telecommunications companies is often characterized by long waiting times and impersonal responses, leading to customer dissatisfaction, increased complaints, and higher operational costs. This study aims to optimize the customer service process through the implementation of a Generative AI Voicebot, developed using the SCRUMBAN methodology, which comprises seven phases: Objectives, To-Do Tasks, Analysis, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Completion. An experimental design was used with an experimental group and a control group, selecting a representative sample of 30 customer service processes for each evaluated indicator. The results showed a 34.72% reduction in the average time to resolve issues, a 33.12% decrease in service cancellation rates, and a 97% increase in customer satisfaction. The implications of this research suggest that the use of Generative AI In Voicebots can transform support strategies in service companies. In conclusion, the implementation of the Generative AI Voicebot has proven effective in significantly reducing resolution time and markedly increasing customer satisfaction. Future research is recommended to further explore the SCRUMBAN methodology and extend the use of Generative AI Voicebots in various business contexts.
Currently, no academic work examines the history of the legality of roads in Chile during its independent existence as a sovereign country. Addressing this gap in the literature, this paper focuses specially on the period from 1842 to 1969, when different actors articulated a set of guiding ideas about the duties of the state and the legal powers of the administrative authority in terms of planning, construction and management of road infrastructure that would allow connectivity between population centers and across regions, according to the ideas and resources available at their historical time. This historical overview of Chilean “road law” is done in the light of insights and questions of contemporary intellectual history and institutional history. In this regard, it is argued that the evolution of road infrastructure norms and institutions during the period under study can be divided into three historical regimes, based on their fundamental legislative milestones, guiding ideas, institutional settings, and strategies of state action: from 1842 to 1887, a period of a decentralized “minimal road state” with precarious roads characterized by both material and juridical uncertainty; from 1887 to 1920, the emergence of a “proto-developmentalist road state” intent on strengthening its grip on the nationwide road infrastructure; and from 1920 to 1969, a period of a “techno-developmentalist road state” that created a nationwide paved road network for the new technology of mobile vehicles.
This study aims to assess the efficacy of speech-to-text (STT) technology in improving the writing abilities of special education pupils in Saudi Arabia. A deliberate sample of 150 special education college students was selected, with participants randomly allocated to either an experimental group employing STT technology or a control group using traditional writing methods. The study utilized a comprehensive approach, which included standardized writing assessments, questionnaires, and statistical analyses such as t-tests, correlation, regression, ANOVA, and ANCOVA. The results demonstrate a substantial enhancement in writing skills among the experimental group utilizing Speech-to-Text (STT) technology. The findings contribute to the discussion on assistive technology in special education and offer practical recommendations for educators and policymakers.
With the continuous growth of China's social economy, people's demand for spiritual life is increasing. Most of China's land is used to develop real estate and tourist attractions, which involves the protection of some traditional village buildings. Affected by the development of the times and historical factors, it is difficult to carry out the protection and reuse of traditional village buildings. Under the background of rural revitalization, traditional villages have been unable to meet the needs of current social development, and how to transform them into a common concern of rural workers and rural members. Based on this, this paper focuses on the protection and reuse of traditional village buildings, and emphatically analyzes the combination method of active utilization and protection of tradition and the reuse principle of traditional village buildings from the perspective of live transmission.
