This paper proposes to apply a microfluidic chip combining DSC, DTA, and PCR-like functions for studying synthesis and selection of precursors of the genetic code carriers at hydrothermal conditions including those in natural high frequency fields (such as magnetosphere emission, atmospherics, auroras and lightings).
The effective drainage radius of coal seam is an important basis for the spacing of pre-drainage gas boreholes. To quickly and accurately determine the effective drainage radius, a new method was proposed. For the coal face where the desorbable gas content before mining has met the standard, the compliance of mine gas drainage rate was used as the basis to determine the effective drainage radius. The fluid-structure interaction model was constructed, numerical simulation of coal seam gas drainage was carried out by using COMSOL software, and the model was validated by combining the field test results. The results show that the new method has the advantage of short cycle. With the extension of drainage time, the increase of effective drainage radius gradually decreases, and finally reaches a relatively stable limit value, which conforms to the Langmuir function. The average error between numerical simulation and field test values of effective drainage radius is 4.9%, which proves that the model is reliable. This model can accurately predict the effective drainage radius under different coal seam gas contents and drainage times. The research results provide a new mean for determining the effective drainage radius of coal seam and the layout of gas drainage boreholes.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been one of the most prominent components of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Most of the discussion on CPEC has centered around the macroeconomic effects on the economy. However, research on the fine details of CPEC’s financing structure has not been conducted. This paper aims to fill the gap by providing a detailed description of the financing of CPEC and how the money maps on to different sectors of the Pakistani economy. We also discuss some macroeconomic concerns and ways to mitigate these risks.
An investigation is conducted into how radiation affects the non-Newtonian second-grade fluid in double-diffusive convection over a stretching sheet. When fluid is flowing through a porous material, the Lorentz force and viscous dissipation are also taken into account. The flow equations are coupled partial differential equations that can be solved by MATLAB’s built-in bvp4c algorithm after being transformed into ODEs using appropriate similarity transformations. Utilizing graphs and tables, the impact of a flow parameter on a fluid is displayed. On velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles, the effects of the magnetic field, Eckert number, and Schmidt number have been visually represented. Calculate their inaccuracy by comparing the Nusselt number and Sherwood number values to those from earlier investigations.
In casting industries, issue of spent molding sand disposal is the origin of molding sand reclamation. Among from all reclamation concepts the thermal reclamation method is better for no-bake sand system. This study focuses on the evaluation of sand quality by considering physical and chemical characteristics of molding sand, which is reclaimed by thermal reclamation method. Electric fuel and fluidization mechanism is used in thermal reclamation system. Effect of reclamation temperature, soaking period and sand quantity on % reclamability, grain size, ADV and on LOI is investigated. The average grain size, low ADV, low LOI and acceptable % reclamability of thermally reclaimed sand are studied.
As an important ecosystem type in the coastal zone, mangroves have important ecological functions, such as maintaining coastal biodiversity, preventing wind and consolidating the coast, promoting silt and building land. It is of great significance to understand the protected status of mangroves in the context of climate change and rapid urbanization. Based on the mangrove classification data from remote sensing interpretation, through vacancy analysis, the in-situ protection status of mangroves in China is analyzed. The results show that the total area of mangroves distributed in China is 264 km2 (excluding the statistical data of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), of which 61.4% are protected in natural reserves. In terms of the main provinces where mangroves are distributed, the mangrove area distributed in Hainan Province is small but the protection proportion is high, while the mangrove area distributed in Guangxi and Guangdong Province is large but the proportion of protected areas is relatively low. Among the three mangrove types, Rhizophora apiculate-Xylocarpus granatum and Rhizophora stylosa-Bruguiera gymnorrhiza had high proportions (>90%) covered by reserves, but relatively small areas. In contrast, Kandelia candel-Aegiceras corniculatum-Avicennia marina had relatively low reserve coverage (52.6%), but a large area. The study puts forward the key areas of mangrove distribution outside the nature reserve, and suggests that they should be protected by delimiting ecological protection red lines.
