With the continuous development of globalization, communication among countries around the world is increasingly frequent, and multicultural integration has become the mainstream of the development of the current era. Language, as the carrier of multicultural integration, is an important tool to promote international communication and integration, especially English, as an international language with the largest number of users and the widest range, has extensive practicability and communication. With the continuous deepening of China's reform and opening up, communication with foreign countries has become increasingly close. English has become a basic language skill that college students must master proficiently. The transformation of English education is an inevitable trend that conforms to the development of the times. However, in the current process of English teaching in universities, there are outdated educational ideas and methods, and English teaching and cross-cultural awareness cultivation have not been effectively combined, Causing a lack of interest in English among college students, the inability to truly apply learning outcomes to practical situations, and the loss of its true significance in English teaching. This article analyzes the important impact of the current multicultural integration environment on college English teaching, as well as the problems existing in contemporary college English teaching practice, and proposes targeted transformation paths for college English education in the context of multicultural integration.

The theoretical framework of Production Oriented Approach (POA) proposed by Professor Wen Qiufang has undergone a series of development and improvement, forming a "drive facilitate evaluate" teaching framework system that is guided by output tasks, supported by facilitation activities, led by teachers, and jointly constructed by teachers and students. The "facilitation" link is the core of helping learners achieve goals and achieve output tasks. The integration of cross-border e-commerce and English teaching is a practical English course content in the teaching of English majors. In the current stage of English course teaching, it is an important method that is innovative and targeted to improve students' English course learning effectiveness. In the specific application process, the application of PBL teaching method requires teachers to provide important support for improving the teaching effectiveness of cross-border e-commerce English courses under the PBL model by building educational and teaching training bases, actively providing sufficient practical education guidance platforms, and emphasizing the innovation and richness of teaching evaluation links.

In the context of big data, the era of educational informatization has fully arrived, making the influence of information technology on language disciplines not to be underestimated. This has promoted vocational English teaching from the original slide multimodal demonstration teaching to the multimodal teaching stage relying on micro courses, playing a good synergistic role in improving English teaching classrooms, innovating teaching reforms, and improving students' English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.

With the implementation of China’s national strategy of “Culture Going-out”, it is important to translate Qingdao folk culture well in order to promote the effective communication of Qingdao folk culture worldwide. However, the uniqueness of folk culture poses certain difficulties for translation. Skopos theory can effectively guide the translation of Qingdao folk culture. From the perspective of this theory, the author analyzes the principles and strategies of English translation of Qingdao folk culture and proposes four translation methods, such as literal translation with notes, equivalent translation, phonetic translation with notes and free translation. Translators can choose the appropriate translation methods according to specific translation purposes.

Under the developing trend of artificial intelligence (AI) technology gradually penetrating all aspects of society, the traditional language education industry is also greatly affected ^[1]. AI technology has had a positive impact on college English teaching, but it also presents challenges and negative impacts. On the positive side, AI technology can provide personalized learning experiences, real-time feedback, and autonomous learning opportunities, and so on. However, it may also lead to a lack of communication between students and humans, resulting in a decline in students’ interpersonal skills, and cause students’ dependence on online learning resources as well as possible risks to student data privacy and security, and other negative impacts. To address these challenges, teachers can adopt the following countermeasures: improving teachers’ skills in the use of AI technology incorporated in the classroom, offering personalized instruction to reduce students’ dependence on AI technologies, emphasizing the cultivation of students’ humanistic literacy and interpersonal communication ability. Additionally, colleges and technology providers should strengthen data security and privacy protection to ensure the safety and confidentiality of student data. By implementing comprehensive measures, we can maximize the advantages of AI technology in college English teaching while overcoming potential issues and challenges.
