This research aims to determine the strategy of the Jakarta Provincial Government in increasing the resilience and growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within a collaborative governance framework post-COVID-19. This study explores the effectiveness of SMEs and facilities in accessing financing and fostering collaborative partnerships between SMEs, government agencies, and financial institutions by utilizing USAID’s Theory of Change (TOC). This research uses a qualitative approach supported by in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions to enrich the insights of SME stakeholders, large companies, and SME actors and assess the impact of their roles. The results of this research highlight the critical role of SME Cooperative Banks (SCB) in improving SMEs’ access to credit and financial services, including collaborative governance frameworks and partnerships between SMEs, government agencies, and banks, which were identified as necessary to improve policy coherence and encourage conducive SME business environment conditions. The main findings of this research underscore the importance of the SCB model, demonstrating its potential to improve SME resilience and economic sustainability. This SCB model enriches the TOC indicators introduced by USAID. The study identifies gaps in digital infrastructure and market access that hinder SME growth and recommends targeted interventions to address these challenges. This study shows that SCB offers a promising pathway to increase the resilience and growth of SMEs in Indonesia, especially if accompanied by effective collaborative governance strategies. These initiatives can encourage inclusive economic development and strengthen the role of SMEs as drivers of the local economy. Recommendations include expanding the SCB model to other regions, encouraging digitalization, facilitating market access, advocating for a supportive policy framework, and integrating these strategies to advance the principles of USAID’s Theory of Change, fostering sustainable SME development and economic resilience.
Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are vital for infrastructure development in developing countries, integrating private efficiency with public oversight. However, PPP models often face risks, particularly in Indonesia’s water sector, due to its unique geographical and regulatory challenges. This study aims to identify and evaluate risk factors specific to drinking water PPP projects in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, structured questionnaires were distributed to experts in the sector, and the data was analyzed using a fuzzy evaluation method. Risks were categorized into location, design and construction, financial, operational, revenue, and political. The study emphasizes that effective risk management, including identification, analysis, and mitigation, is essential for project success. It highlights the importance of stakeholder involvement and flexible risk management strategies. Comprehensive and proactive risk management is key to the success of drinking water infrastructure projects. The research suggests that an integrated and collaborative approach among stakeholders can enhance risk management effectiveness. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, project managers, investors, and other stakeholders, underscoring the necessity for adaptable regulatory frameworks and robust policy guidelines to improve the sustainability and efficacy of future water-related PPPs.
Innovation can be applied in every aspect of life. Similarly, innovation can support the implementation of an accountable education system and support regional competitiveness. Innovation is easy to echo, but difficult to implement. Especially with regard to the Education curriculum which is based on many teaching norms. For this reason, the independent curriculum is a bridge for students and teachers in pouring their innovative ideas through projects that link and match with the world of Education. The problem is that not all schools in Boyolali Regency dare to experiment. There are only 20 schools that seem to be making innovations from the total number of schools as many as ± 400 school units. Qualitative descriptive study method with analysis through problem trees. The result of the study is that an innovation model will be created three concepts, namely Training model, professional Development and Capability Development using problem-based learning methods, project-based learning and discovery learning.
The new cases of HIV/AIDS are being reported in Indonesia tend to increase. for over two decades, the Indonesian government has issued policies to reduce the number of cases through several ministries and local governments, but the results have not indicated signs of success. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the failure of prevention policies to improve policymaking in the future. It focuses on policy and institutional substance aspects using a qualitative design with documentary analysis approach. The results show that the policy failure in dealing with cases is caused by inappropriate rationalization, medicalization, and weak institutional and regulatory roles. Based on these descriptions, stakeholders are expected to emphasize a multi-perspective and holistic approach and rationalize policy objectives with institutional capacity. Moreover, the government needs to increase public and community involvement, strengthening the role of religious leaders and the media, and increase public literacy regarding HIV/AIDS.
To save patients’ lives, it is important to go for an early diagnosis of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH). For diagnosing ICH, the widely used method is non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT). It has fast acquisition and availability in medical emergency facilities. To predict hematoma progression and mortality, it is important to estimate the volume of intracranial hemorrhage. Radiologists can manually delineate the ICH region to estimate the hematoma volume. This process takes time and undergoes inter-rater variability. In this research paper, we develop and discuss a fine segmentation model and a coarse model for intracranial hemorrhage segmentations. Basically, two different models are discussed for intracranial hemorrhage segmentation. We trained a 2DDensNet in the first model for coarse segmentation and cascaded the coarse segmentation mask output in the fine segmentation model along with input training samples. A nnUNet model is trained in the second fine stage and will use the segmentation labels of the coarse model with true labels for intracranial hemorrhage segmentation. An optimal performance for intracranial hemorrhage segmentation solution is obtained.
This study investigates the relationship between the disclosure of historical tourism information by local governments and tourism performance in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 152 respondents, including local government officials, tourism stakeholders, and community members, using a purposive sampling method. This approach ensured the inclusion of participants with direct knowledge and involvement in historical tourism activities. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS software, utilizing descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that effective disclosure practices positively impact tourism performance, with key factors including the involvement of regional heads, legislative councils, mass media, tourism business actors, investment value, tourism budgets, and grant expenditures. The study highlights the importance of transparency and comprehensive information dissemination in enhancing tourism performance. Future research should explore the role of digitalization and innovative technologies in improving historical tourism disclosure and performance. These findings have significant implications for policymakers and practitioners in the tourism sector, emphasizing the need for robust disclosure practices to foster tourism development and economic growth.
