Using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), this study investigated the effect of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, facilitating condition, lifestyle compatibility, and perceived trust on both the intention to use and adoption of an e-wallet among adults. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional research technique to collect data from 501 respondents via Google Form. The acquired data was assessed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Therefore, perceived usefulness, perceived simplicity of use, social influence, lifestyle compatibility, and perceived trust all had a strong positive impact on both intentions to use and adoption of an e-wallet. This study demonstrated that the intention to use an e-wallet mediated the links between predictors and e-wallet adoption. Respondents’ age and gender moderated the effect of lifestyle compatibility on their intention to use an e-wallet. The study’s findings can assist managers and policymakers establish successful ways that capture customers’ intention to use and experience with employing an e-wallet amid a tumultuous market. Finally, such well-crafted policies may stimulate the digital platform and web-based apps, as well as raise e-wallet acceptance rates in undeveloped countries.
In marginalized ecosystem-dependent rural communities, access to ecosystem services plays a crucial role in achieving sustainable livelihoods. This study was conducted to find out the influence of various livelihood capital components on the access mechanism for forest-based Provisioning Services (PS) in some selected villages of the Gosaba Block on the fringes of the Sundarban. The contribution of the livelihood capitals to gain access to Provisioning Services (PS) was identified using factor analysis on 160 households, selected through cluster random sampling. The sustainability levels of livelihood capitals were analyzed using the Prescott-Allen method (2001). The natural, financial, social, and physical capitals were significantly below average, while the human capital was close to average. Enhancement of human, physical, financial, and social capital, ease in issuing Biometric Fisherman cards for entering forests, flexibility in borrowing loans, and ecotourism by involving local villagers must be encouraged to enhance forest-based provisioning services in the near future.
This research investigates the determinants of digital transformation among Vietnamese logistics service providers (LSPs). Employing the Technological-Organizational-Environmental framework and Resource Fit theory, the study identifies key factors influencing this process across different three stages: digitization, digitalization, digital transformation. Data from in-depth interviews with industry experts and a survey of 390 LSPs were analyzed using covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM). The findings reveal that the factors influencing the digital transformation of Vietnamese LSPs evolve across different stages. In the initial phase, information technology infrastructure, financial resources, employee capabilities, external pressures, and support services are key determinants. As digitalization progresses, leadership emerges as a crucial factor alongside the existing ones. In the final stage, the impact of these factors persists, with leadership and employee capabilities becoming increasingly important.
Countries employ various strategies to strengthen their soft power through education, public campaigns, mandatory service, and community involvement, essential for building a well-informed, prepared, and resilient citizenry. In Indonesia, the Civic Awareness for State Defence (CASD) program is designed to instil state defence awareness among citizens. This study introduces the Indonesia State Defence Index (SDI), a novel metric grounded in theoretical constructs such as national identity, nationalism, patriotism, and national pride. Differentiating from previous indices, our SDI employs advanced methodologies including Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to enhance measurement accuracy. Unlike earlier approaches that used traditional aggregation methods, our use of PCA ensures the reduction of dimensions for each state defence indicator, thereby guaranteeing that only the intended dimensions are measured. Utilising data from the State Defence Survey conducted by the Indonesian Ministry of Defence from 1 March to 26 June 2024, we aim to measure and benchmark SDI values across Indonesian regions, thereby elucidating the civic awareness profile in the context of state defence. The refined SDI provides critical insights for policymakers, highlighting regions that require focused interventions to bolster state defence preparedness.
The cars industry has undergone significant technological advancements, with data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) reshaping its operations. This study aims to examine the revolutionary influence of artificial intelligence and data analytics on the cars sector, particularly in terms of supporting sustainable business practices and enhancing profitability. Technology-organization-environment model and the triple bottom line technique were both used in this study to estimate the influence of technological factors, organizational factors, and environmental factors on social, environmental (planet), and economic. The data for this research was collected through a structured questionnaire containing closed questions. A total of 327 participants responded to the questionnaire from different professionals in the cars sector. The study was conducted in the cars industry, where the problem of the study revolved around addressing artificial intelligence in its various aspects and how it can affect sustainable business practices and firms’ profitability. The study highlights that the cars industry sector can be transformed significantly by using AI and data analytics within the TOE framework and with a focus on triple bottom line (TBL) outputs. However, in order to fully benefit from these advantages, new technologies need to be implemented while maintaining moral and legal standards and continuously developing them. This approach has the potential to guide the cars industry towards a future that is environmentally friendly, economically feasible, and socially responsible. The paper’s primary contribution is to assist professionals in the industry in strategically utilizing Artificial Intelligence and data analytics to advance and transform the industry.
