Empirical evidence suggests that generational cohorts display behavioral differences due to rapid advancements in science and technology and enhanced living standards. However, systematic studies examining the behaviours of different generations and their impact on creativity and its various antecedents are scant. This study was undertaken to bridge this gap in the literature by focusing on how generational differences could impact a few behavioural antecedents and employee creativity. The antecedent behaviours examined include self-efficacy, organizational commitment, employee empowerment, and work engagement. Data for the study was collected online using structured, standardized questionnaires. Data were collected from 432 samples and analyzed using Smart-PLS. The results show that most of the proposed antecedents impacted creativity. However, generational differences did not moderate the relationship between the antecedents and creativity. The study will interest scholars and social scientists, as it is the first to be conducted in Saudi Arabia. The study also discusses the implications and limitations. It is expected that the findings of this study will trigger more studies.

This study delves into the multifaceted aspects of reconstructing Malaysia’s economy post-COVID-19, employing a data-driven approach to navigate the intricacies of the nation’s economic landscape. The research focuses on key statistical indicators, including GDP growth, unemployment rates, and inflation, to assess the immediate and long-term impacts of the pandemic. Additionally, it examines the effectiveness of government interventions and stimulus packages in mitigating economic downturns and fostering recovery. A comparative analysis with pre-pandemic data provides valuable insights into the extent of economic resilience and identifies sectors that require targeted support for sustained growth. Furthermore, the study explores the role of technology and digital transformation in building a resilient economy, considering the accelerated shift towards remote work and digital transactions during the pandemic. The analysis incorporates data on technological adoption rates, digital infrastructure development, and innovation ecosystems to gauge their contributions to economic sustainability. Addressing the Malaysian Dilemma also involves an examination of social and environmental dimensions. The study investigates the impact of economic policies on income distribution, social equity, and environmental sustainability, aiming to achieve sustainable economic growth. The study contributes a nuanced analysis to guide policymakers and stakeholders in constructing a sustainable post-COVID-19 economy in Malaysia.
There is a growing emphasis on employee engagement in organizations and academia. It is reflected through an increasing number of academic publications that explores the link between human resource management practices and employee engagement. The present study investigates this relationship using bibliometric analysis. It is crucial to understand how human resource management practices influence employee engagement for creating a more productive and engaged workforce. The publications that focused on “human resource management” and “employee engagement” between 1996 and 2023 were analysed using the Biblioshiny package in R from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The analysis examined the existing research trends and also included comparative analysis across different geographic regions. It identified the emerging trends in human resource management research and the interconnectedness of various sub-disciplines within human resource management. This study offers a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between human resource management practices and employee engagement that revealed new avenues for future research and collaboration within the human resource management field. In other words, it will certainly provide valuable insights for future research agendas.
This systematic literature review (SLR) delves into the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered virtual influencers (VIs) in social media, examining trust factors, engagement strategies, VI efficacy compared to human influencers, ethical considerations, and future trends. Analyzing 60 academic articles from 2012 to 2024, drawn from reputable databases, the study applies specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Both automated and manual searches ensure a comprehensive review. Findings reveal a surge in VI research post-2012, primarily in journals, with quantitative methods prevailing. Geographically, research focuses on Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America, indicating gaps in representation from other regions. Key themes highlight trust and engagement’s critical role in VI marketing, navigating the balance between consistency and authenticity. Challenges persist regarding artificiality and accountability, managed through brand alignment and transparent communication. VIs offers advantages, including control and cost efficiencies, yet grapple with authenticity issues, addressed through human-like features. Ethically, VI emergence demands stringent guidelines and industry cooperation to safeguard consumer well-being. Looking ahead, VIs promises transformative storytelling, necessitating vigilance in ethical considerations. This study advocates for continued scholarly inquiry and industry reflection to navigate VI marketing evolution responsibly, shaping the future influencer marketing landscape.
