Mind map was a note-taking method proposed by Tony Buzan(1994). And later it is developed into eight modes of thinking maps by David Hyerle(2009), which has been widely used in English teaching. As a knowledge visualization learning tool, mind map could help students construct knowledge framework, sort out knowledge structure, expand thinking and enhance memory. This article will take the grade three class of Shijiao Qixing Primary School in Shijiao Country, Qingyuan City as a sample. The Shijiao Qixing Primary School is a village primary school which most of the students are left-behind children and there are about 30 teachers with an age of 40. Neither the teachers nor the students have experienced the mind mapping teaching method. The article will explore the application of mind mapping in a countryside primary school based on relevant theoretical knowledge and classroom practice.
Countering cyber extremism is a crucial challenge in the digital age. Social media algorithms, if designed and used properly, have the potential to be a powerful tool in this fight, development of technological solutions that can make social networks a safer and healthier space for all users. this study mainly aims to provide a comprehensive view of the role played by the algorithms of social networking sites in countering electronic extremism, and clarifying the expected ease of use by programmers in limiting the dissemination of extremist data. Additionally, to analyzing the intended benefit in controlling and organizing digital content for users from all societal groups. Through the systematic review tool, a variety of previous literature related to the applications of algorithms in the field of online radicalization reduction was evaluated. Algorithms use machine learning and analysis of text and images to detect content that may be harmful, hateful, or call for violence. Posts, comments, photos and videos are analyzed to detect any signs of extremism. Algorithms also contribute to enhancing content that promotes positive values, tolerance and understanding between individuals, which reduces the impact of extremist content. Algorithms are also constantly updated to be able to discover new methods used by extremists to spread their ideas and avoid detection. The results indicate that it is possible to make the most of these algorithms and use them to enhance electronic security and reduce digital threats.
This study explores the dynamic relationship between ethical human resources management (HRM) strategies, the level of commitment an employee feels towards their organization, and their job performance, paying particular attention to how employees’ perceptions of the support they receive from their organization can influence these interactions, especially during challenging times. Drawing on a sample of full-time non-executive Indonesian employees, the research employs descriptive statistics for initial data analysis, followed by structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the proposed hypotheses rigorously. The investigation reveals a positive relationship between ethical HRM and employee performance (EP) and organizational commitment (OC). Additionally, OC emerges as a pivotal mediator in the ethical HRM-EP link. Notably, employees’ organizational support perception (EOSP), often assumed to enhance positive organizational outcomes, displays a surprising negative moderating effect when combined with OC, suggesting a more intricate relationship than traditionally posited. These findings enhance our comprehension of how ethical HRM practices function in times of crisis, questioning conventional beliefs regarding the influence of organizational support. The study’s methodological approach, combining descriptive and advanced statistical analyses, provides a robust framework for understanding these complex relationships. This research holds significant implications for HRM practices, particularly in crisis response and management, indicating a need for nuanced support strategies that reflect the complexity of employee-organization dynamics.
The United Arab Emirates is the most involved country in the world in terms of developing community awareness of the value and importance of tolerance, and high-level human solidarity, enhancing it as a community culture, and informing it of a strong institutional framework, legal and legislative frameworks. The research aims to highlight the United Arabian Emirates government’s contribution to promote tolerance in society. The research fellow is descriptive analytic. The research concluded that the UAE government has succeeded to a large extent in establishing the concept of tolerance through its global role in developing the concept of tolerance. The research recommends the need to expand the application of the culture of tolerance in Arab and international societies and benefit from the experience of the United Arab Emirates in promoting the culture of tolerance.
This study investigates the interaction between audit firms and key audit matters (KAMs) to measure their impact on financial reporting quality in Palestine, thereby enriching the discourse on financial reporting. A descriptive statistical method was used to analyze the audit reports of listed Palestinian firms from 2018 to 2022. A methodology that scrutinizes the clarity and informativeness of KAMs across different audit firms and KAM types, the research investigates how audit procedures and risk assessments contribute to the comprehensibility of KAM disclosures. The findings highlight a significant disparity in the readability of KAMs attributable to audit firm selection, with the non-Big Four firms exhibiting distinct approaches. This understanding, gathered through multivariate analysis, offers valuable contributions to the ongoing discourse on financial reporting quality, emphasizing the essential role of audit firms in shaping the effectiveness of audit reports and KAM disclosures.
How can social enterprises implement Total Quality Management (TQM) to tackle urgent social issues within their organizational framework while also ensuring their continued viability? To address this question, this study aims to explore the organizational approach to the adoption and implementation of TQM practices and their efficacy in mitigating pressing social challenges and maintaining financial sustainability. It adopts a qualitative multiple-case research design involving 3 social enterprises to explore the research phenomenon. Following qualitative research analysis process using NVivo, our findings highlight a prevalent, short-term outlook in managing TQM, hindering the full potential of TQM to achieve both social impact and organizational sustainability. More specifically, they expose a significant dissonance within the case organizations’ TQM implementations: the contrast between the current state, indicative of what it is, and the ideal state, indicative of what it should be. Altogether, the study advocates leveraging TQM for long-term excellence and alignment in social enterprises (as opposed to short-term mediocrity and disarray), thereby facilitating the achievement of both social impact and financial sustainability.
