In the context of a globalized economic environment, businesses are facing an increasing number of environmental challenges, prompting them not only to pursue economic benefits but also to focus on environmental protection and social responsibility. Green supply chain management (GSCM) and green innovation have become key strategies for enterprises aiming for sustainable development. This study explores the impact of green supply chain practices on green innovation performance, with a focus on how knowledge management and organizational integration serve as mediating variables in this relationship. Grounded in the resource-based view (RBV) and knowledge-based view (KBV) theories, this research employs surveys and in-depth interviews with companies across various industries, combined with the analysis of structural equation modeling, to reveal the complex relationship between GSCM practices, knowledge management capabilities, levels of organizational integration, and green innovation performance. The results show that GSCM practices significantly enhance corporate green innovation performance through effective knowledge management and organizational integration. These findings enrich the theories of GSCM and green innovation, providing practical guidance for enterprises on how to enhance green innovation performance through strengthening knowledge management and organizational integration. Finally, this study discusses its limitations and suggests possible directions for future research, such as exploring the differences in findings across different industry backgrounds and examining other potential mediating or moderating variables.
This study aims to explore the relationship between classroom anxiety and self-efficacy among Chinese Korean language learners and the impact of these variables on learning outcomes. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, the study conducted a questionnaire survey with 300 learners to assess their levels of Korean language learning classroom anxiety and self-efficacy. The questionnaire comprised two parts: one for assessing learning anxiety and the other for self-efficacy. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate a significant negative correlation between classroom anxiety and self-efficacy. That is, higher levels of classroom anxiety in Korean language learners correspond to lower levels of self-efficacy. Additionally, self-efficacy played a partial mediating role between classroom anxiety and learning outcomes. The study also found that teaching strategies offering positive feedback and encouragement can effectively reduce learners’ classroom anxiety and enhance their self-efficacy, thereby improving learning outcomes. This research is significant for understanding the psychological characteristics of Chinese Korean language learners and their impact on the learning process. The findings underscore the need to focus on learners’ psychological states in language teaching and provide strategies for teachers on how to improve teaching effectiveness by alleviating classroom anxiety and enhancing self-efficacy.
This study investigates the impact of the metaverse on English language teaching, focusing on the perspectives of students from the University of Boyacá. The use of the metaverse was compared with the Moodle platform in a virtual educational environment. A mixed-method approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods was employed. The sample consisted of 30 university students enrolled in English courses, randomly assigned to two groups: one using the metaverse and the other using Moodle. Students’ grades on different activities and assessments throughout the course were collected, and semi-structured interviews were conducted to explore students’ perceptions of the educational platforms. Results revealed that while students recognize the potential of the metaverse to enhance interactivity and learning experience, they also identified technical and accessibility challenges. Although no significant differences in grades were found between the groups, less variability in grades was observed in the metaverse group. The mixed design allowed for a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of the metaverse on English language teaching, while providing a variety of student perspectives on their experience with educational technology. This research contributes to understanding the role of the metaverse in English language teaching and highlights key areas for future research and developments in the field of virtual education.
This study aims to advance understanding of the factors affecting Generation Z employee commitment in the workplace of the information and technology (IT) companies in Vietnam. A survey of 450 Generation Z employees in IT companies shows that company remuneration, reward and welfare, work environment, colleagues, direct manager, promotion, job characteristics, green initiatives are positively related to Generation Z organizational commitment. More specifically, work environment and direct manager have the highest effect on Generation Z employee commitment to organization while promotion and colleagues have the lowest effect on Generation Z employee commitment to organization. Research results also revealed that green initiatives of the organization have significant effect on Generation Z employee commitment in companies. This finding suggests that including green initiatives in corporate strategy is a valuable approach for improving Generation Z employee commitment to organization. We discuss the implications for theory, practice, limitations, and directions for future research.
This paper analyzes the impact of wage subsidies on lower-skilled formal workers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It employs a multi-sectoral, empirically-calibrated general equilibrium model to capture the economy-wide transactions between the formal and informal sectors and assess policy simulations in the DRC. The simulations, both in the short and long run, indicate that when the government provides wage subsidies to lower-skilled workers, it significantly improves the real disposable incomes of both formal and informal households. There is a general increase across formal and informal sectors in real household disposable incomes due to the wage subsidy. The results show that subsidy allocation narrows the income gap between high and low-income households, as well as between formal and informal sectors. The findings are insightful for wage policy simulations, as the wage subsidy targeting lower-skilled formal workers increases real GDP from the expenditure side by 1.19% and 3.19% in the short and long run, respectively, from the baseline economy.
Resilient marketing in hotel enterprises is a research area that has not been systematically explored. This study is based on the 4Ps theory to conduct a systematic theoretical study of resilient marketing in hotel enterprises and promote the application of resilient marketing in hotel enterprises. Data were collected from Chinese hotel employees (n = 501) through an online survey. Data were analysed using SPSS and AMOS software. confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) combined with structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to explore hotel employees’ perceptions of resilient marketing in hotel companies. The findings suggest that the concept of resilient marketing, constructed through the four dimensions of resilient products, resilient prices, resilient price, and resilient promotions, is better able to help hotel enterprises withstand crises. This study contributes to understanding how Chinese hotel enterprises use the concept of resilient marketing to withstand crises, such as positively adapting to market changes, collaboratively responding to market competition, and resisting and reversing crises situation. It has important theoretical value and practical significance for constructing a theory of resilient marketing for hotel enterprises, promoting the practical development of resilient marketing for hotel enterprises.
