The six core competencies of mathematics in vocational schools are becoming increasingly important in mathematics learning. The reverse teaching design of vocational school mathematics, which focuses on core competencies, precisely grasps the internal logic of knowledge from a holistic perspective, and designs it on a unit by unit basis. The design process is to infer the starting point from the endpoint. Therefore, how to use reverse thinking in teaching design research in vocational school mathematics teaching under the background of core competencies will be the main content of this article.
The economic complexity approach presents a shift from quantitative to qualitative measures of economic performance, while economic complexity refers to the accumulation of know-how. Economic complexity is considered a predictor of economic growth and research evidences a positive relationship between economic complexity and economic growth. In the EU countries, economic convergence is observed. Hence the question of economic complexity convergence arises, too. The paper aims to analyze the convergence of 27 EU countries considering their economic complexity from 1999 to 2021 computing the beta convergence. Using the Barro-type regressions, the econometric estimations focus on four indices of economic complexity—the economic complexity index published by Harvard’s Growth Lab, and economic complexity indices on research, trade, and technology published by the Observatory of Economic Complexity. The absolute beta convergence is observed in the EU except for the economic complexity index referring to trade. When including the dummy referring to the location of EU countries in the West or East of the EU considering their wealth, the conditional beta convergence is observed except for the trade-economic complexity index, again. When altering the condition of location by the GDP per capita and other controls, the conditional beta convergence of economic complexity in the EU is observed when estimating both fixed-effect models and dynamic panel data models based on the system generalized method of moments (GMM) estimator.
As autonomous vehicles (AVs) revolutionize the global transportation landscape, their implications for emerging economies like Malaysia remain a subject of significant interest. This study delves into the multifaceted world of AV technology, focusing on Malaysia’s unique transportation challenges and opportunities. Through interviews with key stakeholders and experts, the research uncovers valuable insights into AV technology’s awareness, regulatory landscape, integration hurdles, potential benefits, and inclusivity impact in the Malaysian context. The study finds that while AVs hold the promise of improved road safety, reduced traffic congestion, and enhanced environmental sustainability, addressing challenges related to regulation, infrastructure, and public acceptance is imperative for successful integration. Additionally, AV technology has the potential to significantly enhance inclusivity in transportation, benefiting individuals with disabilities. The study underscores the need for holistic policy and infrastructure development to leverage the benefits of AV technology and pave the way for a sustainable and inclusive transportation future in Malaysia.
Currently, coal resource-based cities (CRBCs) are facing challenges such as ecological destruction, resource exhaustion, and disordered urban development. By analyzing the landscape pattern, the understanding of urban land use can be clarified, and optimization strategies can be proposed for urban transformation and sustainable development. In this study, based on the interpretation of remote sensing data for three dates, the landscape pattern changes in the urban area of Huainan City, a typical coal resource-based city in Anhui Province, China were empirically investigated. The results indicate that: (1) There is a significant spatial-temporal transformation of land use, with construction land gradually replacing arable land as the dominant land use type in the region. (2) Landscape indices are helpful to reveal the characteristics of land transfer and distribution of human activities during a process. At the landscape type level, construction land, grassland, and water bodies are increasingly affected by human activities. At the landscape composition level, the number of landscape types increases, and the distribution of different types of patches becomes more balanced. In addition, to address the problems caused by the coal mining subsidence areas in Huainan city, three landscape pattern optimization strategies are proposed at both macro and micro levels. The research findings contribute to a better understanding of land use changes and their driving forces, and offer valuable alternatives for ecological environment optimization.
In the process of vocal music teaching, the level of a singer's aesthetic ability often determines their long-term development. Therefore, in the process of conducting vocal music teaching, it is necessary to pay more attention to the cultivation of students' musical aesthetic ability, improve students' understanding and mastery of music art from the ideological level, and achieve better teaching effects. This article will conduct research on the importance of cultivating aesthetic ability in vocal music teaching, and explore strategies from aspects such as absorbing life content and introducing musical instruments into teaching models. It is hoped to provide some help for related teaching work.
In recent years, Vietnam has achieved great achievements in the implementation of economic growth, which has contributed to reducing poverty and is highly appreciated by the international community. Although Vietnam has made remarkable achievements in reducing poverty and meeting the requirements of sustainable development, there are still many challenges and work to be done. Vietnam needs to continue to push ahead to improve the quality of life for the poorest, reduce the development gap between regions, and strengthen its response to climate change and the environment. This study uses a qualitative method to analyze the current situation of poverty reduction in Vietnam. The article also uses analytical, synthetic, logical, and historical methods to clarify the results and limitations of poverty reduction. The value of the research helps the Vietnamese government to be aware of the results and limitations of poverty reduction and suggests scientific and timely solutions to implement poverty reduction work in Vietnam.
