This research investigates the impact of modern technological methods of knowledge management (KM) and total quality management (TQM) on the performance of faculty members in educational colleges in Jordan. Drawing on a survey conducted with 306 faculty members, the study examines the influence of technology on teaching methodologies and academic quality within the Jordanian higher education context. The study utilizes the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to back up the modern technological methods of knowledge management (KM) and total quality management (TQM) models. The findings reveal a generally positive perception among respondents regarding the beneficial effects of modern technological tools on teaching effectiveness, collaboration, and innovation. Additionally, technology-enhanced TQM practices were found to contribute to improvements in curriculum design, student engagement, and administrative processes. Regression and correlation analyses support significant relationships between technology-enabled KM and TQM practices and faculty performance, highlighting the transformative role of technology in shaping the future of higher education in Jordan. Recommendations are provided for educational institutions to enhance the integration of technology and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement among faculty members.
The purpose of this paper is to explore the performance of ridge regression and the random forest model improved by genetic algorithm in predicting the Boston house price data set and conduct a comparative analysis. To achieve it, the data is divided into training set and test set according to the ratio of 70-30. The RidgeCV library is used to select the best regularization parameter for the Ridge regression model, and for the random forest model, the genetic algorithm is used to optimize the model's hyperparameters. The result shows that compared with ridge regression, the random forest model improved by genetic algorithm can perform better in the regression problem of Boston house prices.
In recent years, China has been emphasizing the importance of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation". Through such policies, more outstanding "great country craftsmen" should be cultivated, providing strong support for the overall industrial upgrading of our country. In order to achieve this grand national strategic goal, each university needs to conduct targeted exploration of the integration of innovation, entrepreneurship, and craftsmanship spirit based on its own actual situation. This article will explore the integrated cultivation mode of entrepreneurship and innovation+craftsmanship spirit from multiple aspects such as national policy guidance, student training plans, and training channels, based on the specific situation of the current development of entrepreneurship and innovation, combined with the research results of our school. In the process of entrepreneurship and innovation education, we will cultivate students' craftsmanship spirit and provide sufficient assistance for social development.
Vocational colleges should not only cultivate highly skilled talents, but also improve the comprehensive quality of students. The cultivation of students' comprehensive qualities cannot be separated from the efforts of schools, counselors, and every course teacher. Vocational education is different from undergraduate education, and finding a teaching model suitable for students in vocational colleges is particularly important. The integrated teaching model proposed in this article integrates theory and practice, and the entire teaching process is integrated into curriculum ideological and political education. In order to ensure teaching effectiveness, teachers participate and supervise the entire process, aiming to cultivate students' ability to unite and assist, solve problems, and express language skills, self-learning abilities, etc., so that students can truly become a comprehensive and high-quality talent.
In a territorial development model such as that of Valencia (Spain), in which limitations, resistance and difficulties are observed as a result of the dualization that it has undergone in these almost 40 years of operation, we ask whether these obstacles have had an effect on the evolution of employment. This is understood as the basic indicator, the primary aim of any action undertaken for development of the territory. To this end, we set out from the methodological articulation of various techniques (survey by means of a pre-coded questionnaire, application of the READI® methodology) based on the primary information collected from the AEDL (Employment and Local Development Agents) technical staff of Valencia province, which showed us their perception of the dualization to which the model is subjected and the difficulties that this generates when carrying out their professional activity. Statistical and documentary sources were also analyzed. With all this, the evolution of employment in these territories over the last five years was studied in order to validate, or not, the initial hypothesis: Whether this reality of the model (duality) responds to short-term or structural parameters.
It is possible to provide green, ecological, and innovative products and services through green and sustainable public procurement. This study analyzes the opportunity offered to public contracting authorities in the Republic of Croatia (RH) in transformation from existing economy to a sustainable one through the inclusion of small and medium sized (SME) companies and inclusion of selection criteria that promote all three sustainable goals. The study employed a qualitative method and empirical analysis of public procurement procedures for eggs in the period from 2013 to 2021 in RH. The product was procured in many social institutions, hospitals, schools, student canteens and by procuring a sustainable product, added value could be created for the entire community. Data from the Electronic Public Procurement Classifieds of the Republic of Croatia (EOJN RH) and Data from the State and European Union (EU) Statistical Office were used. The research showed that sustainable procurement criteria were used for the first time in 2021, and that public contracting authorities put a stronger focus on the environmental pillar of sustainability and less or almost none on the economic and social pillar. The volume of demand and production was also calculated. The study found that the first contractor for sustainable product was SME company, producer of food, who adapted to the green conditions of public procurement in a short period of time. The paper empirically demonstrated that public procurement can be a powerful tool, but it was not used enough in the observed period for the observed products in RH.
