Professor Marcelo Moreira Cavalcanti received his B.S., his M.S., and his Ph.D. degrees from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in 1985, 1988, and 1995, respectively. He has been an Associated Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the State University of Maringá since 1989 up to 2015 and he is currently a Full professor at the same university. The main focus of his research is the study of the behavior of the energy of distributed systems. To explain more precisely the development of his research, consider a physical phenomenon which is described by a partial differential equation and, in addition, assume that there is an external or intrinsic mechanism (damping) acting on the system and which is responsible for the dissipation of its energy. The purpose of his study is to answer some questions related to the region where the damping must be acting in order to obtain the optimal decay rate of the energy. This subject was wisely described by one of the greatest contemporary scientists, Jacques Louis Lions (1928-2001) when he said: To "control" a system is to make it behave (hopefully) according to our "wishes," in a way compatible with safety and ethics, at the least possible cost. The systems considered here are distributed i.e., governed (modeled) by partial differential equations (PDEs) of evolution. Our "wish" is to drive the system in a given time, by an adequate choice of the controls, from a given initial state to a final given state, which is the target.

Canan AKIN finished her Ph.D. and master in Mathematics at Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, TURKEY. Her research areas are fuzzy algebraic structures, rough and soft sets connected algebra, semigroups, (fuzzy) hyper structures and lattices (especially related these topics). She is currently an assistant professor at Giresun University, Giresun, Turkey.

Prof. Chang-Hua Lien National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan

Dr. Chang-Hua Lien was born in Yunlin, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1969. He received the B.S. degree in 1993 and Ph.D. degree in 1998 from National Taiwan Ocean University and National Sun Yat-Sen University, respectively. From 2000 to 2001 and 2001 to 2006, he was with Department of Electrical Engineering, Tung-Fang Institute of Technology and I-Shou University, respectively. In 2006, he joined the Department of Marine Engineering, National Kaohsiung Marine University, Taiwan, where he is currently a Full Professor and Dean of Maritime college. His main research interests include fuzzy control theory, neural networks, robust control, and time-delay systems

Dr. Kishor D. Kucche is an Assistant Professor at Department of Mathematics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India. He received his M.Sc. degree and Ph. D. degree in Mathematics at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, India. His areas of research interest include: Differential and integral equations in abstract spaces, Fractional calculus, Fractional differential equations and Integral inequalities. Prof. Dr.Josep Lluis i Ginovart, is graduated in Architecture from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain) and holds a PhD from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. He is Professor of Architectural Heritage Intervention. He also is Dean at the School of Architecture Barcelona, Universitat Internacional Catalunya (Spain),where he also teaches intervention in architectural heritage. He also heads the research group “Architectural Heritage Patri-ARQ”, which activity is focused on the assessment of built heritage. He has also been Head of Architecture Department, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain). He also is Magíster operis sedis Dertusae and Director of the Master Plan of Santa María de Tortosa Cathedral. His research focuses on medieval architecture and geometry from the point of view of historical construction.

Dr. Anuj Kumar Agarwal is Ph.D. (Mathematics) from Integral University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA and M.Sc. (Mathematics) from University of Luknow, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA. His research area is Modeling and Numerical Simulation in Mathematical Biology, finding Hopf-bifurcation in Non-linear system of differential equations. He has been finding the Hopf-bifurcation and their nature upto 6-dimensional mathematical models based on system of ordinary differential equations. He has more than 2 years teaching experience. He has worked as lecturer in B.S.N.V.P.G. College (K.K.V.), Charbagh, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA. Presently, He is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Management Sciences, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA.
