A salinity gradient solar pond (SGSP) is a large and deep artificial basin of layered brine, that collects and stores simultaneous solar energy for use in various applications. Experimental and theoretical studies have been launched to understand the thermal behavior of SGSPs, under different operating conditions. This article then traces the history of SGSPs, from their natural discovery to their current artificial applications and the progress of studies and research, according to their chronological sequence, in terms of determining their physical and dynamic aspects, their operation, management, and maintenance. It has extensively covered the theoretical and experimental studies, as well as the direct and laboratory applications of this technology, especially the most famous and influential in this field, classified according to the aspect covered by the study, with a comparison between the different results obtained. In addition, it highlighted the latest methods to improve the performance of an SGSP and facilitate its operation, such as the use of a magnetic field and the adoption of remote data acquisition, with the aim of expanding research and enhancing the benefit of this technology.
Communicative language is an important part of daily communication, and mastering its usage proficiently can leave a good impression on people. There are significant differences in the greetings between China and Japan. These differences also reflect the different cultures of the two countries. Focusing on the greetings of the first meeting in daily life, this paper selects TV plays with more daily exchanges, collects language materials of TV play types related to social life, friendship, schools, companies, etc., and makes a comparative analysis of the performance and functions of Japanese and Chinese greetings, and makes a study of Sociolinguistics.
Olive production is threatened by a fungal pathogen, Armillaria mellea (Vahl. Fr.) P. Kumm.,causing decline in trees worldwide. Effectiveness of once and twice applications of fungicides hexaconazole, propicoconazole and thiophanate-methyl and application of biological agent (Trichoderma harzianum) to control A. mellea was studied at orchard scale during four years. T. harzianum inhibited the pathogen growth on agar media. This antagonistic fungus provided a 25% control efficiency of A. mellea on olive trees younger than 15 years which was the same as control efficiency of once application of hexaconazole. Control efficiencies as perfect as 100% were determined on younger (<15 years old) diseased olive trees treated with once applications of thiophanate-methyl and hexaconazole, and twice applications of thiophanate-methyl. Moreover, olive tree age was significantly effective on fungicidal control efficiency. Hence, this four-year research advanced our understanding of sustainable olive production in study region and other geographical areas with similar agro-ecological characteristics.
To better analyze the tourist experience of the Jinsha Site Museum, this study adopts a mixed research method, combined with questionnaire surveys, interviews, and online review data, to comprehensively analyze the tourist experience from three dimensions: cognition, emotion, and behavior. After statistical analysis of 223 questionnaire surveys and analysis of 530 online comments, it was found that tourists’ overall satisfaction with the Jinsha Site Museum reached 95.3%. In the feedback on interactive exhibitions, 63.8% of tourists hoped to add more interactive elements and technological applications. The above results indicate that the Jinsha Site Museum has been widely recognized by tourists in providing historical and cultural exhibitions and modern facility services. However, to meet the needs of more tourists, museums should consider innovating and upgrading in interactive exhibitions, adding technological interactive elements, and improving the usability and responsiveness of equipment.
