The quality of indoor classroom conditions influences the well-being of its occupants, students and teachers. Especially the temperature, outside acceptable limits, can increase the risk of discomfort, illness, stress behaviors and cognitive processes. Assuming the importance of this, in this quantitative observational study, we investigated the relationship between two environmental variables, temperature and humidity, and students’ basic emotions. Data were collected over four weeks in a secondary school in Spain, with environmental variables recorded every 10 minutes using a monitoring kit installed in the classroom, and students’ emotions categorized using Emotion Recognition Technology (ERT). The results suggest that high recorded temperatures and humidity levels are associated with emotional responses among students. While linear regression models indicate that temperature and humidity may influence students’ emotional experiences in the classroom, the explanatory power of these models may be limited, suggesting that other factors could contribute to the observed variability in emotions. The implications and limitations of these findings for classroom conditions and student emotional well-being are discussed. Recognizing the influence of environmental conditions and monitoring them is a step toward establishing smart classrooms.
The expanding adoption of artificial intelligence systems across high-impact sectors has catalyzed concerns regarding inherent biases and discrimination, leading to calls for greater transparency and accountability. Algorithm auditing has emerged as a pivotal method to assess fairness and mitigate risks in applied machine learning models. This systematic literature review comprehensively analyzes contemporary techniques for auditing the biases of black-box AI systems beyond traditional software testing approaches. An extensive search across technology, law, and social sciences publications identified 22 recent studies exemplifying innovations in quantitative benchmarking, model inspections, adversarial evaluations, and participatory engagements situated in applied contexts like clinical predictions, lending decisions, and employment screenings. A rigorous analytical lens spotlighted considerable limitations in current approaches, including predominant technical orientations divorced from lived realities, lack of transparent value deliberations, overwhelming reliance on one-shot assessments, scarce participation of affected communities, and limited corrective actions instituted in response to audits. In response to the rapid and dynamic changes in the economic environment, companies must improve their processes to maintain competitiveness. This includes enhancing their intellectual capital, with particular emphasis on effective onboarding processes, which play a crucial role in integrating new employees and retaining talent. This enhances the value of the organization’s intellectual capital and emphasizes onboarding—the training and integration of new employees—whose proper functioning impacts staff retention. Drawing on both Hungarian and predominantly foreign literature, we highlight onboarding processes and examine their implementation in Hungarian companies of various sizes. The research employed a mixed-method approach, combining semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. In-depth interviews were conducted with HR leaders from 13 Hungarian organizations to explore the existence of mentoring programs. Additionally, 161 employees across Hungary completed questionnaires, which examined their perspectives on onboarding processes and the relationship between mentoring programs and company size. We analyzed the data using chi-square tests to assess the strength of these relationships. While all large companies in our sample had formal mentoring programs, smaller companies displayed more variability, with some relying on informal or ad-hoc onboarding processes. Based on these results, we identified several key areas for improvement in onboarding processes. These include enhancing the structure of feedback interviews, ensuring more comprehensive communication channels, and strengthening mentoring programs across companies of all sizes. By addressing these gaps, companies can improve employee retention, engagement, and overall integration during the onboarding process, contributing to a more stable and motivated workforce.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is related to the dynamic development of digital skills. This article focuses on the impact of AI on the work of non-profit organizations that aim to help those around them. Based on 10 semi-structured interviews, it is presented here how it is possible to work with AI and in which areas it can be used—in social marketing, project management, routine bureaucracy. At the same time, workers and volunteers need to be educated in critical and logical thinking more than ever before. These days, AI is becoming more and more present in almost all the activities, bringing several benefits to those making use of it. On the one hand, by using AI in the day-to-day activities, the entities are able to substantially decrease their costs and have the advantage of being able to have, in most cases, a better and faster job done. On the other hand, those individuals that are more creative and more innovative in their line of work should not feel threatened by those situations in which organizations decide to use more AI technologies rather than human beings for the routine activities, since they will get the opportunity to perform tasks that truly require their intellectual capital and decision making abilities.
The proposed scientific article aims to analyze the application of Lean Six Sigma in the food industry. To this end, a detailed methodology has been designed that ranges from the selection of the works to the synthesis and presentation of the results obtained. The methodology is based on rigorous inclusion criteria to ensure the relevance and quality of the selected sources, including books, academic articles, theses, and other relevant documents. Through extensive searches of academic databases and other reliable sources, key works were identified that specifically address the implementation of Lean Six Sigma in the context of food production. Once the relevant papers were collected, a critical analysis was conducted to identify common themes, trends, and key findings. The works were classified according to their main focus, such as process improvement, waste reduction, supply chain optimization and food safety assurance. This categorization allowed the information to be organized in a coherent way and to facilitate the synthesis of the results. The results obtained were presented in a table that included details about each selected work, such as title, author, year of publication, abstract and links to the original source. This structured and rigorous approach provides a clear and comprehensive view of the topic, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in this area and offering practical guidance for practitioners and researchers interested in the application of Lean Six Sigma in the food industry. The literature on Lean Six Sigma in the food industry highlights its importance in improving efficiency, quality, and safety. Key recommendations include gradual implementation, appropriate training, focus on quality, and continuous improvement.

This study employs a mixed-methods approach to comprehend the factors influencing Saudi investors' decisions in the cryptocurrency realm. Quantitative surveys are conducted to gauge perceptions of risk, return, regulatory factors, and social influence. Additionally, qualitative interviews delve into the nuanced interplay of these elements and the impact of FOMO on decision-making. Integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior and Behavioral Finance theories, this research offers a holistic understanding of cryptocurrency investment determinants. The combined quantitative and qualitative methods provide a comprehensive view, enabling an in-depth analysis of the subject matter. The study reveals that Saudi Arabian investors' decisions regarding cryptocurrencies are significantly influenced by multiple factors, including perceived risk, potential return, regulatory environment, and social dynamics. FOMO emerges as a crucial psychological factor, interacting with these influences and driving decision-making. This research underscores the intricate interplay between these factors and FOMO, shedding light on the dynamics of cryptocurrency investment choices in the Saudi Arabian market. The findings hold implications for policymakers, financial institutions, and investors seeking deeper insights into this evolving landscape. Drawing from the Theory of Planned Behavior and Behavioral Finance, it examines perceived risk, return, regulatory factors, and social influence in influencing cryptocurrency investment choices among Saudi investors, focusing on the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO).
