In the context of a globalized economic environment, businesses are facing an increasing number of environmental challenges, prompting them not only to pursue economic benefits but also to focus on environmental protection and social responsibility. Green supply chain management (GSCM) and green innovation have become key strategies for enterprises aiming for sustainable development. This study explores the impact of green supply chain practices on green innovation performance, with a focus on how knowledge management and organizational integration serve as mediating variables in this relationship. Grounded in the resource-based view (RBV) and knowledge-based view (KBV) theories, this research employs surveys and in-depth interviews with companies across various industries, combined with the analysis of structural equation modeling, to reveal the complex relationship between GSCM practices, knowledge management capabilities, levels of organizational integration, and green innovation performance. The results show that GSCM practices significantly enhance corporate green innovation performance through effective knowledge management and organizational integration. These findings enrich the theories of GSCM and green innovation, providing practical guidance for enterprises on how to enhance green innovation performance through strengthening knowledge management and organizational integration. Finally, this study discusses its limitations and suggests possible directions for future research, such as exploring the differences in findings across different industry backgrounds and examining other potential mediating or moderating variables.
In order to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and address the growing global concern for ecologically responsible activities, this study examines the role that French financial institutions play in financing a green future and promoting sustainable development (SD). Through semi-structured interviews with twelve participants from banks and Fintech companies, the research investigates their familiarity with green financing commitments to international organizations and associations, their views on the growth potential of green finance, and the provision of green finance products. Additionally, it explores the connection between green finance and its positive influence on SD. Data analysis was performed using NVivo 12. The findings highlight a strong commitment to green finance and sustainable practices among these institutions, emphasizing the significance of integration and utilization of green finance products across various sectors. This research emphasizes the crucial role of financial institutions in France in driving a greener and more sustainable future through green finance.
This paper examines the influence of green accounting and environmental performance on stock prices, focusing on Indonesia’s mining sector. It aims to understand whether these factors, along with profitability, impact the growth of stock prices. The study is grounded in stakeholder, legitimacy, and signal theories, emphasizing the role of stakeholder support and environmental responsibility in company survival. The research explores the conflicting results of previous studies on the impact of green accounting on stock prices. It uses various indicators, such as environmental costs for green accounting and the PROPER rating system, to measure environmental performance. The study also considers profitability as a moderating variable. The population in this research is all mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017–2021. The sample was selected based on purposive sampling with several criteria. Multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing were used to analyze the data. Key findings suggest that green accounting positively influences stock prices, while environmental performance has a negative effect. Profitability positively affects stock prices but does not significantly moderate the impact of green accounting on stock prices. However, it does enhance the relationship between environmental performance and stock prices. The study concludes that companies should increase disclosures related to green accounting and environmental performance, which are crucial for long-term investment considerations.
Overwhelming studies unanimously agreed that preservation of the environment is a central climax in the discourse of green banking. There is a growing interest in exploring green banking practices for fostering financial inclusion, economic growth and sustainable development as part of Vision 2030 in Saudi Arabia. There are insufficient studies that examine this in the context of Saudi Arabia. This study aims at exploring the potential of green banking in order to attain sustainable banking and financial inclusion in achieving vision 2030in the country. Qualitative content analysis is used as a methodology of the study. Data were gathered through different sources such as: Web of Science (WOS), related journals, newspapers, published references, research papers, library sources and environmental organizations reports. It is indicated that green banking initiatives can be instrumental in fostering sustainable economic and environmental development in the Kingdom. The paper highlighted various activities of green banking such as: renewable and clean energy, financing green agriculture/food security, high-quality infrastructure among others. Nonetheless, some impediments to the green banking practices such as: risks facing green banks, poor quality of financial services among others are also mentioned in this paper. The paper proffers solutions to the challenges impeding green banking practices. In conclusion, the financial and banking industries in Saudi Arabia has been proving reform of the sector through greening economy. It is there suggested that the stakeholders and policymakers should provide efficient and effective technical, operational legal frameworks for enhancing green economy in achieving Vision 2030 in the country.
This comprehensive review examines recent innovations in green technology and their impact on environmental sustainability. The study analyzes advancements in renewable energy, sustainable transportation, waste management, and green building practices. To accomplish the specific objectives of the current study, the exploration was conducted using the PRISMA guidelines in major academic databases, such as Web of Science, Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and ScienceDirect. Through a systematic literature review with a research influence mapping technique, we identified key trends, challenges, and future directions in green technology. Our aggregate findings suggest that while significant progress has been made in reducing environmental impact, barriers such as high initial costs and technological limitations persist. Hence, for the well-being of societal communities, green technology innovations and practices should be adopted more widely. By investing in sustainable practices, communities can reduce environmental degradation, improve public health, and create resilient infrastructures that support both ecological and economic stability. Green technologies, such as renewable energy sources, eco-friendly construction, efficient waste management systems, and sustainable agriculture, not only mitigate pollution but also lower greenhouse gas emissions, thereby combating climate change. Finally, the paper concludes with recommendations for policymakers and industry leaders to foster the widespread adoption of green technologies.
The interest in smart grids and new technologies is growing around the world. Countries are investing in the development of new technologies that will help achieve environmental goals, energy supply efficiency, improve energy efficiency and increase consumer involvement in the energy generation. One of such technology is a blockchain. It is believed that the blockchain, combined with a smart grid, provides an opportunity to integrate the activities of all stakeholders, including: generators, distributors and consumers of electricity. The aim of the article is to identify the key research areas discussed by the researchers of both the smart grid and the blockchain issues. An analysis of the Scopus database from 2015 to 2023 was conducted. Using a created bibliometric query, a systematic literature review was conducted. 476 scientific publications relating to the issues addressed were identified. Using the VOSviewer software, a bibliometric analysis was performed using the author’s keywords. The bibliometric maps obtained allowed for the identification of key research areas. The article also presents potential future directions of scientific considerations, which should be focused on the issue of green smart grid and green blockchain. The results presented in the article can inspire researchers looking for research gaps or describing the current state of knowledge in the field of the smart grid and the blockchain issues.
