The benefits of information system users are an important topic in research on information system implementation in general as well as in hospital information systems in particular. The study is applying structural equation modelling in determining the factors affecting personal benefits of information system users, with the antecedents being the combination of perspectives, and the outcomes including individual user results of the system in hospitals. The study was conducted in two phases: a preliminary study and a formal study. The preliminary study aimed to adjust and supplement the observed variables to be suitable for the actual conditions in Vietnam by conducting a preliminary survey with a questionnaire involving 55 samples to assess the internal consistency reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity of the measurement scales. The formal quantitative study, which employed linear structural analysis with PLS-SEM, was conducted on 215 samples of individuals who had previously used information systems in several hospitals in Vietnam. The proposed model explained 80.6% of the variance in user engagement with the system and 50.6% of the variance in user satisfaction when using the information system. In more detail, for user benefits, it is worth noting that the strongest impact intensity belongs to information quality and the weakest belongs to support structure. In addition, confidence in one’s own abilities also has a high impact on user benefits when using the information system.
There is insufficient consideration of Generation Z’s cultural and generational needs in the implementation of biometric attendance systems in Arabic educational settings. This study delves into Generation Z’s discipline, exploring their perspectives on attendance systems and aligning commitment with their interests. The primary aim is to gauge biometric systems’ impact on productivity. Google Form questionnaires collected data from young employees, ages 25 to 35, who belong to Generation Z’s working in the higher education system. Structural equation modeling and descriptive analysis assessed the data. While biometric systems enhance discipline, they may dampen morale. Implementing systems fairly and maintaining flexibility is vital. The study underscores the importance of evaluating employees based on achievements. It sheds light on biometric systems’ role in attendance management and organizational performance, aiding HR practices. The results showed no significant effect of Employee Management Practices (EMP) on organization performance through Biometric Attendance Technology (BAT) (B = 0.049, t = 1.330, p = 0.184). Nor significant effects of Organizational Performance Metrics (OPM) (B = 0.019, t = 0.608, p = 0.543). Technological Infrastructure (TI) (B = 0.019, t = 0.2461, p = 0.645), or Satisfaction and Engagement (ESE) (B = 0.057, t = 1.381, p = 0.167) on organization performance through Biometric Attendance Technology. The mediator impact was also found to be not significant (P > 0.05). Therefore, both direct and specific indirect effects were not significant. Indicating that Biometric Attendance Technology does not mediate the relationship between these variables and organizational performance.
Presently, there exists a burgeoning trend of female entrepreneurs worldwide, notably within the realm of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), many of which manifest as family-run enterprises. The systematic literature review endeavors to construct an integrative framework concerning the practical ramifications of female involvement in family businesses by amalgamating extant global studies. The findings elucidate the practical implications inherent in female participation across global family businesses, concurrently furnishing a reservoir of prospects for prospective investigations. The deduction posits the imperative eradication of gender disparities, cognizant that gender parity underpins economic and financial advancement and is contingent upon female involvement. Furthermore, familial enterprises are urged to acknowledge and integrate women’s contributions in entrepreneurial decision-making processes.
With the advancement of modernization, commoditization and grassroots governance have become important terms. Community governance not only promotes modern democracy but plays a key role in improving community governance capabilities and modernizing the governance system, which is receiving much attention. Despite the expanding number of articles on community governance, few evaluations investigate its evolution, tactics, and future goals. As a result, the particular goal of this study is to provide the findings of a thematic analysis of community governance research. Investigating the skills and procedures needed for practice-based community government. Data for this study were gathered through a thematic assessment of 66 papers published between 2018 and 2023. The pattern required by the researchers was provided by the ATLS.ti23 code used to record the review outcomes. This study proposes six central themes: 1) rural advancement, 2) community (social) capital, 3) public health and order governance, 4) governance technology, 5) sustainable development, and 6) governance model. The research results show that the research trend of community governance should focus on rural advancement, taking rural community governance as the starting point, the dilemma and adjustment of the governance model, community public health and order governance, and digital governance. It will yield new insights into new community governance standards and research trends.
Due to the short cost-effective heat transportation distance, the existing geothermal heating technologies cannot be used to develop deep hydrothermal-type geothermal fields situated far away from urban areas. To solve the problem, a new multi-energy source coupling a low-temperature sustainable central heating system with a multifunctional relay energy station is put forward. As for the proposed central heating system, a compression heat pump integrated with a heat exchanger in the heating substation and a gas-fired water/lithium bromide single-effect absorption heat pump in the multifunctional relay energy station are used to lower the return temperature of the primary network step by step. The proposed central heating system is analyzed using thermodynamics and economics, and matching relationships between the design temperature of the return water and the main line length of the primary network are discussed. The studied results indicate that, as for the proposed central heating system, the cost-effective main line length of the primary network can approach 33.8 km, and the optimal design return temperature of the primary network is 23 ℃. Besides, the annual coefficient of performance and annual energy efficiency of the proposed central heating system are about 3.01 and 42.7%, respectively.
Using the rank scale rule, taking 47 major port cities in China from 2001 to 2015 as research samples, this paper discusses the rank scale characteristics and hierarchical structure of coastal port city system from a multi-functional perspective, and divides the coupling type of multi-functional development based on shipping logistics. The research shows that: 1) from 2001 to 2015, the scale-free area of manufacturing function order scale distribution in the coastal port city system appeared bifractal structure, the hierarchical segmentation characteristics appeared, and the other functions were single fractal; From the perspective of long-term evolution, only the order and scale distribution of shipping logistics function has developed from centralization to equilibrium, while the business function, manufacturing function (scale-free region I), modern service function and population distribution function are in a centralized situation. 2) The hierarchical structure of coastal port city system has gradually changed from pyramid structure to spindle structure, and generally formed five levels: national hub, regional hub, regional sub center, regional node and local node. 3) From the perspective of multi-functional coupling types, the traditional functions of port cities are generally ahead, while the high-end service functions lag behind, and the improvement speed of urban functions is slow and tends to be flat, indicating that the multi-functional development of China’s coastal port cities is still at a low level, and the industrial system structure needs to be further optimized. 4) From the perspective of port cities at different levels, the functions of regional hub cities and regional sub central cities are in the stage of rapid growth; regional and local node cities are still in the growth stage of traditional functions such as industry and commerce.
