This paper presents the state of displacement of a multilayered composite laminate subjected to transverse static load with varying balance, symmetric and anti-symmetric angle-ply and cross-ply staking sequences. Higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT) is considered in the finite element formulation of nine-noded isoparametric element with seven degrees of freedom at each node. The finite element formulation is transformed into computer codes. A convergence study is carried out first to obtain the optimal mesh size for minimizing the computational time. The maximum deflection at the center of plate for both fixed and simply supported edges is verified with reported literature and a good conformity is found. An attempt has been made to observe the minimum value of maximum deflection in the laminate for attaining the maximum strength of laminate with a suitable combination of stacking sequences with a constant volume of material.
In order to explore the influence of the ferroelectric surface on the structure and properties of semiconductor oxides, the growth of CdS nanocrystals was regulated and controlled by taking single-crystal perovskite PbTiO3 nanosheets as the substrate through a simple hydrothermal method. Through composition design, a series of PbTiO3-CdS nanocomposite materials with different loading concentrations were prepared, and their microstructure and photocatalytic properties were systematically analyzed. Studies show that in the prepared product, CdS nanoparticles selectively grow on the surfaces of PbTiO3 nanosheets, and their morphology is affected by the exposed surfaces of PbTiO3 nanosheets. There is a clear interface between the PbTiO3 substrate and CdS nanoparticles. The concentration of the initial reactant and the time of hydrothermal reaction also significantly affect the crystal morphology of CdS. Photocatalysis studies have shown that the prepared PbTiO3-CdS nanocomposite material has a significant degradation effect on 10 mg/L of Rhodamine B aqueous solution. The degradation efficiency rises with the increase of CdS loading concentration. When degrading 10 mg/L Rhodamine B aqueous solution, the PbTiO3-CdS sample with a mass fraction of 3% can reach a degradation rate of 72% within 120 min.
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectrum has the characteristics of fast-detection, high-sensitivity and low-requirements for sample pretreatment. It plays a more and more important role in the detection of organic pollutants. In this study, MIL-101 and Au nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal method and aqueous solution reduction method respectively, and MIL-101/Au composite nanoparticles were prepared by electrostatic interaction. The SERS properties of the composite substrate were optimized by adjusting the size of Au nanoparticles and the surface distribution density of MIL-101 nanoparticles. The detection limit of Rhodamine 6G (R6G) for the composite substrate with the optimal ratio was investigated, which was as low as 10–11 M. It is proved that MIL-101/Au composite nanoparticles have high sensitivity to probe molecules. When they are applied to the detection of persistent organic pollutants, the detection limit for fluoranthene can reach 10–9 M and for 3,3’,4,4’-tetrachlorobiphenyl (PCB-77) can reach 10–5 M.
Based on Landsat–7ETM + images of 2007 and 2012 and Landsat–8 images of 2018, this study took Fuyang City, Anhui Province (Yingzhou District, Yingdong District, Yingquan District) as the research object, and made a quantitative analysis of land use/cover change in Fuyang City from 2007 to 2018 with the Environment for Visualizing Images (ENVI) software. According to the data of land use types in three phases, the article analyzes the development trend of various land use types and the main reasons for the changes of land use, which provides a certain basis for the urban planning and environmental construction of Fuyang City. The results show that with the rapid economic development and continuous improvement of the urbanization level in Fuyang City during 11 years, the area of various land types in the study area has changed greatly. The area of construction land area changed by 448.27 km2, with an increase of 543.57%; the area of arable land changed by 597.52 km2, with a decrease of 34.74%; the area of bare land changed by 26.00 km2, with a decrease of 80.68%. The changes were closely related to the rapid economic and social development in the study area. Under the influence of environmental protection policies and environmental awareness, the area of forest land changed by 85.00 km2, with an increase of 97.58%; the water area changed by 84.35 km2, with an increase of 201.39%.
Introduction: Growth, yield and quality of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) are related to fertilizer application, being nitrogen (N) the most outstanding, due to its direct relationship with photosynthesis and vegetative growth of the plant. Objective: The objective was to evaluate the agronomic and productivity characteristics of okra as a function of N dose. Materials and methods: The study was conducted at the experimental area of Campus Gurupi, the Universidad Federal de Tocantins (UFT), Brazil, in two planting periods (autumn/winter and spring/summer). The experimental design used was randomized block design (RBD) with six treatments (50, 100, 150, 150, 200 and 250 kg N ha-1) and four replications. Urea was used as a source of N. The characteristics evaluated were: productivity, average fruit mass, height and plant chlorophyll index. Results: Productivity and plant height were superior in the fall/winter crop. Mean fruit mass and chlorophyll index were not influenced by planting time. For productivity, a linear response was obtained with increasing dose up to the limit of the N dose used (250 kg ha-1), with a mean value higher than 14 t of fruit. Mean mass and plant height responded linearly to increasing N dose. Nitrogen affected the chlorophyll index, with maximum values of 45.96 and 47.19, observed in the two evaluation periods. Conclusion: Planting time and N content in the soil interacted with plant height, being favorable in the period without precipitation. N influenced all the characteristics, demonstrating the importance of nitrogen fertilization in the development of okra plants.
Objective: to achieve accurately and rapidly the mapping of agricultural land use and crop distribution at the township scale. Methods: this study, based on specific methods, such as, time-series remote sensing index threshold classification and maximum likelihood, classifies each land use type and extracts crop spatial information, under the guidance of Sentinel-2A remote sensing images, to carry out agricultural land use mapping at township scale. And the mapping concerned will be verified by comparing with an agricultural spatial information map of a 0.5 m resolution, which is based on WorldVieW-2 fused images. Results: (1) the area accuracy of grain and oil crop land, vegetable land, agricultural facilities land and garden land is fairly good, with 92.93%, 98.98%, 95.71% and 95.14% respectively, and within 8% variation from actual area; (2) the spatial information of plot boundary, farmland road network, and canal network produced by OSM road data and historical high-resolution images was overlayed with the classification results of Sentinel-2A multi-spectral image for mapping, which can improve the accuracy of plot boundary information of classification results for the image with 10 m resolution. Conclusions: the use of multi-source information fusion method, agricultural land use and crop distribution space big data produced by Sentinel-2A optical image, can effectively improve the accuracy and timeliness of land use mapping at the township scale, to provide technical reference for the application of remote sensing big data to carry out agricultural landscape analysis at the township scale, optimization and adjustment of agricultural structure, etc.
