Purpose: The level of the environment is gradually declining, especially with regard to the serious problem of solid waste. Solid waste segregation-at-source is seen as the most essential approach to helping the natural environment minimize the amount of waste generated before being transferred to waste disposal sites and landfills in many rapidly growing towns and cities in developing countries. However, a number of previous environmental-based research have focused only on the general scope of recycling, sustainable development, and the purchase intention for sustainable food products. This situation has led to useful and relevant information on the research scope of households’ intention to segregate solid waste at source, which remains largely unanswered. The aim of this paper is, therefore, to provide a literature review to develop a novel theoretical framework in understanding the determinants of households’ intention to practise solid waste segregation-at-source. Theoretical framework: The study provides a detailed explanation of the application of the Theory of Reasoned Action, the Fietkau-Kessel Model, the Focus Theory of Normative Conduct, and the Value-Basis Theory to predict the relationship between attitude, subjective norms, environmental concerns, and environmental knowledge of households on intention to practise solid waste segregation-at-source. Design/methodology/approach: This research is descriptive in nature. Findings: A better understanding of the potential mediator and moderator is needed to contribute to the body of knowledge on the causal relationship between the studied variables. In conclusion, the researchers discuss how the framework can be used to address future research implications as more evidence emerges. Research, practical and social implications: The current study is expected to broaden previous research in order to improve general understanding of attitudes and subjective norms towards the specific research scope of solid waste segregation-at-source.
In recent years, the pathological diagnosis of glomerular diseases typically involves the study of glomerular his-to pathology by specialized pathologists, who analyze tissue sections stained with Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS) to assess tissue and cellular abnormalities. In recent years, the rapid development of generative adversarial networks composed of generators and discriminators has led to further developments in image colorization tasks. In this paper, we present a generative adversarial network by Spectral Normalization colorization designed for color restoration of grayscale images depicting glomerular cell tissue elements. The network consists of two structures: the generator and the discriminator. The generator incorporates a U-shaped decoder and encoder network to extract feature information from input images, extract features from Lab color space images, and predict color distribution. The discriminator network is responsible for optimizing the generated colorized images by comparing them with real stained images. On the Human Biomolecular Atlas Program (HubMAP)—Hacking the Kidney FTU segmentation challenge dataset, we achieved a peak signal-to-noise ratio of 29.802 dB, along with high structural similarity results as other colorization methods. This colorization method offers an approach to add color to grayscale images of glomerular cell tissue units. It facilitates the observation of physiological information in pathological images by doctors and patients, enabling better pathological-assisted diagnosis of certain kidney diseases.
With the development and reform of education, the cultivation of core competencies for normal school students is receiving increasing attention. This article analyzes the connotation of the core literacy of preschool education teacher students, the difficulties faced in cultivating core literacy, and explores how to use flipped classrooms to enhance the core literacy of preschool education teacher students.
The psychological health issues of college students are related to their growth and development. Only by implementing psychological health education and maintaining the physical and mental health development of college students can the quality and effectiveness of education be systematically improved. This article briefly analyzes the current situation of psychological health of local normal university students based on their psychological characteristics, and proposes methods for implementing scientific psychological health education for college students in combination with existing problems. The aim is to improve the effectiveness of talent cultivation and contribute to the development of local education.
