This study aims to use dialectical thinking to explore the impacts and responses of Artificial Intelligence (AI) empowerment on students’ personalized learning. The effect of AI empowerment on student personalization is dissected through a literature review and empirical cases. The study finds that AI plays a significant role in promoting personalized learning by enhancing students’ learning effectiveness through intelligent recommendation, automated feedback, improving students’ independent learning ability, and optimizing learning paths, however, the wide application of AI also brings problems such as technological dependence, cheating in exams, weakening of critical thinking ability, educational fairness, and data privacy protection to students. The study proposes recommendations to strengthen technology regulation, enhance the synergy between teachers and AI, and optimize the personalized learning model. AI-enabled personalized learning is expected to play a greater role in improving learning efficiency and educational fairness.
This study aims to examine the pathways through which the user experience (UX) of ChatGPT, a representative of generative artificial intelligence, affects user loyalty. Additionally, it seeks to verify whether ChatGPT’s UX varies according to a user’s need for cognition (NFC). This research proposed and examined how ChatGPT’ UX affect user engagement and loyalty and used mediation analysis using PROCESS Macro Model 6 to test the impact of UX on web-based ChatGPT loyalty. Data were collected by an online marketing research company. 200 respondents were selected from a panel of individuals who had used ChatGPT within the previous month. Prior to the survey, the study objective was explained to the respondents, who were instructed to answer questions based on their experiences with ChatGPT during the previous month. The usefulness of ChatGPT was found to have a significant impact on interactivity, engagement, and intention to reuse. Second, it was revealed that evaluations of ChatGPT may vary according to users’ cognitive needs. Users with a high NFC, who seek to solve complex problems and pursue new experiences, perceived ChatGPT’s usefulness, interactivity, engagement, and reuse intentions more positively than those with a lower NFC. These results have several academic implications. First, this study validated the role of the UX in ChatGPT. Second, it validated the role of users’ need for cognition levels in their experience with ChatGPT.
Financial literacy is an essential life skill today and plays a crucial role in business success. This study examined the relationship between college students’ financial literacy, financial management behavior, and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition. A survey was conducted among college students in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions, and a total of 272 responses were analyzed using SPSS 28.0. The results showed that financial literacy partially positively affects financial management behavior. Furthermore, financial management behavior positively influences entrepreneurial opportunity recognition. Financial management behavior partially mediates the relationship between financial literacy and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition. Improving the financial literacy of college students during adolescence serves as a motivation for entrepreneurship and significantly impacts their exploration and practice of various income activities to achieve their expected future living standards. The study’s findings indicate that for potential entrepreneurs, recognizing and promoting entrepreneurship as a source of innovation and growth requires incorporating financial literacy and desirable financial management behavior education into university curricula.
This study investigates the impact of human resource management (HRM) practices on employee retention and job satisfaction within Malaysia’s IT industry. The research centered on middle-management executives from the top 10 IT companies in the Greater Klang Valley and Penang. Using a self-administered questionnaire, the study gathered data on demographic characteristics, HRM practices, and employee retention, with the questionnaire design drawing from established literature and validated measuring scales. The study employed the PLS 4.0 method for analyzing structural relationships and tested various hypotheses regarding HRM practices and employee retention. Key findings revealed that work-life balance did not significantly impact employee retention. Conversely, job security positively influenced employee retention. Notably, rewards, recognition, and training and development were found to be insignificant in predicting employee retention. Additionally, the study explored the mediating role of job satisfaction but found it did not mediate the relationship between work-life balance and employee retention nor between job security and employee retention. The research highlighted that HRM practices have diverse effects on employee retention in Malaysia’s IT sector. Acknowledging limitations like sample size and research design, the study suggests the need for further research to deepen understanding in this area.
Organizations are gradually focusing on creating a healthy workplace for their employees and becoming more people-centric. This occurs because a healthy workforce increases the work performance of the organisation and the personal development of its employees. This study aims to investigate the HR functions that impact employee motivation in the Malaysian banking sector. The three HR functions that were selected were training and development, rewards and recognition, and career management. The study utilised a cross-sectional design, and the research instruments were adapted from a number of past studies. A total of 350 respondents from the Malaysian banking industry were recruited. Using SPSS Version 26.0, the research hypotheses were examined. The results show that rewards and recognition are not significant predictors of employee motivation in the Malaysian banking industry; however, training and development and career management are significant predictors of employee motivation. These results will help the human resources department develop and improve its HR operations.
