Developing Asia’s infrastructure gap results from both inadequate public resources and a lack of effective channels to mobilize private resources toward desired outcomes. The public-private partnership (PPP) mechanism has evolved to fill the infrastructure gap. However, PPP projects are often at risk of becoming distressed, or worst, being terminated because of the long-term nature of contracts and the many different stakeholders involved. This paper applies survival-time hazard analysis to estimate how project-related, macroeconomic, and institutional factors affect the hazard rate of the projects. Empirical results show that government’s provision of guarantees, involvement of multilateral development banks, and existence of a dedicated PPP unit are important for a project’s success. Privately initiated proposals should be regulated and undergo competitive bidding to reduce the hazard rate of the project and the corresponding burden to the government. Economic growth leads to successful project outcomes. Improved legal and institutional environment can ensure PPP success.
Organizations in the modern, global environment have moved away from traditional methods of communication and toward creating all-encompassing plans that revolve around the engagement and motivation of their workforce. This change highlights the critical function of strategic internal communication, a still-emerging but increasingly important field of study and practice in the business sector. The modern workplace sees a change in the roles that employees play, with workers taking on more and more duties that were previously related to public relations. Understanding this shift in PR practice requires an understanding of role expectations, as norms and expectations have a significant impact on communication behavior and, in turn, organizational performance. To interpret the data in this context, a content analysis of secondary data was conducted. This made it possible to assess the body of knowledge in order to determine its applicability, consistency, replication, and rebuttal. The study makes the case that paramilitary organizations, like the Nigeria Customs Service, have internal communication procedures that are different from those of traditional corporate organizational structures. Given the agency’s diverse responsibilities in income generation, trade facilitation, and the abolition of smuggling, this discrepancy is especially noticeable. The study shows that the relationship between internal communication and employees’ job performance was mediated by employee participation and job satisfaction.
The government’s land registration program aims to protect communities from future land disputes. However, lack of community support presents challenges to its process and implementation. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, this article examines these challenges from the community’s perspective, focusing on land registration, community participation, and implementation dynamics. It suggests that learning from these dynamics can enhance the program’s effectiveness, highlighting the need for a systematic approach to community involvement.
With the progress of science and technology, the research and development of silver nanoparticles has also developed. This paper attempts to prepare a silver nanoparticle by electrolyzing AgNO3 solution with electrochemical reduction method and citric acid as a complexing agent in a certain current and time. The crystal morphology and sample purity of silver nanoparticles were analyzed by X-ray diffractometer. The crystal structure of the nanoparticles was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The crystal structure of the nanoparticles was analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The particle size distribution of the particles was in the range of 125-199 nm, and the carbon paste electrode was modified with the prepared silver nanoparticles. The electrocatalytic activity of the carbon paste electrode was preliminarily explored.
