Through the combination of the geographic information systems (GIS) and the integrated information model, the stability of regional bank slope was comprehensively evaluated. First, a regional bank slope stability evaluation index system was established through studying seven selected factors (slope grade, slope direction, mountain shadow, elevation, stratigraphic lithology, geological structure and river action) that have an impact on the stability of the slope. Then, each factor was rasterized by GIS. According to the integrated information model, the evaluation index distribution map based on rasterized factors was obtained to evaluate the stability of the regional bank slope. Through the analysis of an actual project, it was concluded that the geological structure and stratigraphic lithology have a significant impact on the evaluation results. Most of the research areas were in the relatively low stable areas. The low and the relatively low stable areas accounted for 15.2% and 51.5% of the total study area respectively. The accuracy of slope evaluation results in the study area reached 95.41%.
The improvement of critical thinking ability is a process of human brain’s cognition, reasoning and judgment of objective things. This experiment starts with the learners’ discourse cognitive construction model, and attempts to study the effect of the training of discourse cognitive model based on critical thinking habits on the English writing performance of the application-oriented English majors with three different levels of language expression ability, so as to help the learners improve their English writing in the construction of conscious discourse cognition.
Objective To understand the status quo of problem behavior of children in Henan Province, and to explore the applicability of the Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire (PSQ) norm test in 3-6 years old children. Methods A total of 775 children aged 3-6 years old in Henan Province were selected to measure their problem behavior by using PSQ. The difference and consistency of the detection rate of Chinese and American norms were analyzed, and the difference between the average score of problem behavior of children in Henan Province and the average score of each factor of the two norms was studied. Results (1) The impulsive-hyperactivity index of boys was significantly higher than that of girls; Children's learning problems show a significant age difference, and the older the children, the higher the score of learning problems; Non-only children show more impulsive-hyperactivity, hyperactivity problems than only children. (2) There are significant differences between the Chinese norm and the American norm in the detection rates of learning problems, impulsive-hyperactivity, anxiety and hyperactivity index. (3) The PSQ scores of children in Henan Province were significantly different from most factors of Chinese and American norm PSQ. Conclusion There are differences in the problem behavior of young children in Henan Province in terms of gender, age, and whether they are only children. The consistency of Chinese and American PSQ norms is poor, and they are no longer applicable to young children in contemporary Henan Province.
This study seeks to explore the information value of financial metrics on corporate sustainability and investigate the moderating effects of institutional shareholders on the association between net cashflows (NCF) and corporate sustainability of the leading ASEAN countries. The dataset consists of companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore during 2013–2023. Fixed effects panel regression is executed in this study. Subsequently, the conditional effects served to evaluate the influence of institutional shareholders on the association between NCF and corporate sustainability. This study employs agency theory to explore how the alignment of institutional shareholders influences sustainability outcomes. This study found that institutional shareholders themselves supply information for the sustainability indicator in Thailand and Singapore, but not in Malaysia. Furthermore, adversely correlated with sustainability metrics in all three nations is the interaction term between institutional shareholders and net cashflows. Further investigation reveals that for each nation’s sustainability measures the institutional shareholders offer value relevant to net cashflows at certain amounts. This study not only contributes to existing academic research on sustainability and financial indicators, it also provides practical strategies for companies and investors trying to match financial performance with sustainability goals in a fast-changing global market.
The research explores academia and industry experts’ viewpoints regarding the innovative progression of Virtual Reality (VR)-based safety tools customized for technical and vocational education training (TVET) within commercial kitchen contexts. Developing a VR-based safety tools holistic framework is crucial in identifying constructs to mitigate the risks prevalent in commercial kitchens, encompassing physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial hazards workers encounter. Introducing VR-based safety training represents a proactive strategy to bolster education and training standards, especially given the historically limited attention directed toward workers’ physical and mental well-being in this sector. This study pursues a primary objective: validating a framework for VR-based kitchen safety within TVET’s hospitality programs. In addition to on-site observations, the research conducted semi-structured interviews with 16 participants, including safety training coordinators, food service coordinators, and IT experts. Participants supplemented qualitative insights by completing a 7-Likert scale survey. Utilizing the Fuzzy Delphi technique, seven constructs were delineated. The validation process underscored three pivotal constructs essential for the VR safety framework’s development: VR kitchen design, interactive applications, and hazard identification. These findings significantly affect the hospitality industry’s safety standards and training methodologies within commercial kitchen environments.
