Taking the geographic information industry as the research object, using the authorized invention patent data, this paper puts forward the research method of industrial innovation chain structure based on the geographic information industry chain. Then, from the perspective of overall structure and specific regional structure, the development status of the innovation chain is quantitatively evaluated, which is helpful to all countries in the world. The structural integrity and leading links of the innovation chain especially in China, the United States and Japan are compared and analyzed. The results show that: (1) from the perspective of the overall structure, the global innovation chain presents an “inverted triangle” structure due to the weak innovation ability of downstream links. From the perspective of specific regional structure, the innovation chain of geographic information industry in most countries and regions is incomplete, and there are broken links or isolated links. The global innovation chain except China has cracks between the upstream and downstream due to the relative weakness of the midstream links, showing “hourglass-shaped” structure with a wide upper part, narrow lower part and narrow middle part. (2) Relatively speaking, China’s industrial innovation chain is relatively complete, and the midstream link has significant comparative advantages in the global market. However, the industry university research cooperation in the innovation chain is weak, the degree of marketization is low, and the technological competitiveness lags behind that of the United States.
This study examines the economic feasibility of the environment-friendly farmland use policy to improve water quality. Conventional highland farming, polluting the Han River basin in South Korea, can be converted into environment-friendly farming through land acquisition or application of pesticide-free or organic farming practices. We estimate the welfare measures of improvement in water quality and the costs of policy implementation for economic analysis. To estimate the economic benefit of improvement in water quality experienced by the residents residing in mid-and-downstream areas of the Han River, the choice experiment was employed with a pivot-style experimental design approach. In the empirical analysis, we converted the household perception for water quality grades into scientific water quality measures using Water Quality Standard to estimate the value of changes in water quality. To analyze the costs required to convert conventional highland farmlands into environment-friendly farmlands, we estimated the relevant cost of land acquisition and the subsidy necessary for farm income loss for organic agricultural practice. We find that the agri-environmental policy is economically viable, which suggests that converting conventional highland farming into environment-friendly farming would make the improvement in water quality visible.
Aiming at the problem of incompatibility of biomass models of forest organs, taking Chinese fir in Fujian Jiangle State-owned Forest Farm as the research object, based on selecting the optimal independent model of each organ, the biomass compatibility model of Chinese fir was established with a three-level joint control scheme. The results show that the compatibility equation system based on the whole plant biomass can effectively solve the problem of incompatibility in the whole plant biomass, each sub-biomass and between sub-biomass. Besides, except for the leaf biomass model, all other biomass models have good fitting effect, which is of great significance to the guidance of the analysis of local Chinese fir biomass.
This paper investigates the evolving clustering and historical progression of “Asian regionalisms” concerning their involvement in multilateral treaties deposited in the United Nations system. We employ criteria such as geographic proximity, historical connections, cultural affinities, and economic interdependencies to identify twenty-eight candidate countries from East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Central Asia for this empirical testing. Using a social network analysis approach, we model the network of these twenty-eight Asian state actors alongside 600 major treaties from the United Nations system, identifying clusters among Asian states by assessing similarities in their treaty participation behavior. Specifically, we observe dynamic changes in these clusters across three key historical eras: Post-war reconstruction and transformation (1945–1968), Cold War tensions and global transformations (1969–1989), and post-Cold War era and globalization (1990–present). Employing the Louvain cluster detection algorithm, the results reveal the evolution in cluster numbers and changes in membership status throughout the world timeline. The results also identify the current situation of six distinct Asian clusters based on states’ inclinations to engage or abstain from multilateral treaties across six policy domains. These findings provide a foundation for further research on the trajectories of Asian regionalisms amidst evolving global dynamics and offer insights into potential alliances, cooperation, or conflicts within the region.
At this stage, network technology is developing rapidly. The resources in the network are massive, and a large number of resources are distributed in a decentralized and heterogeneous manner. With the continuous expansion of the application scope of distributed technology, it can provide effective scheme guidance for resource application. Combined with the current situation of network teaching platform and relevant functional requirements, it is very necessary to apply distributed technology. Taking DFS technology as an example, this paper studies the shared resource management scheme of this technology in network storage, and studies the specific application effect and path of DFS technology in distributed network teaching platform.
