The study examines the impact of various theories on the reflection and transmission phenomena caused by obliquely incident longitudinal and transverse waves at the interface between a continuously elastic solid half-space and a thermoelastic half-space, using multiple thermoelastic models. Numerical calculations reveal that the thermoelastic medium supports one transmitted transverse wave and two transmitted longitudinal waves. The modulus of amplitude proportions is analyzed as a function of the angle of incidence, showing distinct variations across the studied models. Energy ratios, derived from wave amplitudes under consistent surface boundary conditions for copper, are computed and compared across angles of incidence. The results demonstrate that the total energy ratio consistently sums to one, validating energy conservation principles. Graphical comparisons of amplitude proportions and energy ratios for SV and P waves across different models illustrate significant differences in wave behavior, emphasizing the influence of thermoelastic properties on wave transmission and reflection.
The study aims to investigate and analyse the social media, precisely the Instagram activity of several hotels in the city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Having been the second most popular destination besides Bali, it is mainly dominated by domestic tourism. Although several governmental institutions exist, the study focuses on the hotel’s activity only. The main purpose was to find, that after the classification of the posts, whether there is a more positive effect of one as opposed to the other type of posts. In addition, it was also important to see if with the time advancing positive effect of likes and comments appear and the relation of hashtags, likes and comments. Data was collected between 1st of January 2023. and 15th of July 2024. The first step was to collect posts done by the suppliers and then the posts were classified. Also, the number of hashtags used were collected. Second step was to collect the response from the demand side by gathering their likes and comments. Data then was analysed with SPSS 24 and JASP program. Results show that while there is no significance on increasing likes and comments with the months advancing, but in terms of the type of the posts there is. Promotional posts with other suppliers tend to bring a lot more comments and likes than self-promotional posts. This study’s main purpose to analyse through social media posts to enhance online networking by local suppliers promoting each other’s products.
Maps of forest stand condition—the current phase of the forest-forming process—will be useful for foresters in their forest management in addition to the forest planning and cartographic materials. The mapping methodology was applied in the test area of the Bolshemurtinsky forest district of the Krasnoyarsk region, which is typical for the southern taiga forests of East Siberia. Source data for mapping was obtained on the basis of descriptions of the forest subcompartments on the GIS attribute table of the forest district. Forest stand confinement to the terrain relief indicators was identified on the basis of the SRTM 55-01 digital terrain model data. Spatial analysis has been performed using the ArcGIS Spatial Analyst module. Mapping capability has been shown not only for the year of forest inventory but also for the earlier period of time. To determine the predominant species and the age of the 100-year-old forest stand, a scheme was proposed in which the conceivable options are typified depending on the succession trend, the forest stand age prior to disturbance, and the period of reforestation. Map fragments of the test area as of 2006—the year of forest inventory—and as of 1906—the year of the intensive colonization beginning in southern Siberia—are demonstrated. Maps of forest condition in the test area represent successions that are typical in the southern taiga forests of Siberia: post-harvest, pyrogenic, and biogenic. The methodology of forest condition mapping is universal.
Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) has become a pivotal factor influencing consumers’ decisions, particularly in the context of hotel services. With the advent of social media, it provides individuals with powerful tools to share its experiences and opinions about hotels. In this digital age, customers increasingly rely on online reviews and recommendations from their peers when selecting accommodations. eWOM on social media platforms has a substantial impact on customers’ perceptions and decision-making processes. This study aims to better understand the influence of eWOM by social media platforms on purchase intention of hotel services. To understand the influence of eWOM, this study uses the information adoption model as the model has been widely used in previous eWOM studies. The information quantity construct has been added to strengthen the model. The online questionnaire was distributed to social media users by using Google forms via social media platforms and only 210 of them were responded. The SmartPLS 4.0 software is used to analyze the data as the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) is a method to confirm the structural equation models and to test the link between inert developments. Based on results, the information quantity and information quality of hotel services on eWOM positively influences the information usefulness and the information usefulness of hotel services on eWOM positively influences the purchase intention. The results lead to increase sales of hotel services and contribute to economic growth.
A fresh interest has been accorded to metal iodides due to their fascinating physicochemical properties such as high ionic conductivity, variable optical properties, and high thermal stabilities in making micro and macro devices. Breakthroughs in cathodic preparation and metallization of metal iodides revealed new opportunities for using these compounds in various fields, especially in energy conversion and materials with luminescent and sensory properties. In energy storage metal iodides are being looked at due to their potential to enhance battery performance, in optoelectronics the property of the metal iodides is available to create efficient LEDs and solar cells. Further, their application in sensing devices, especially in environmental and medical monitoring has been quite mentioned due to their response towards environmental changes such as heat or light. Nevertheless, some challenges are still in question, including material stability, scale-up opportunities, and compatibility with other technologies. This work highlights the groundbreaking potential of metal iodide-based nanomaterials, emphasizing their transformative role in innovation and their promise for future advancements.
The purpose of this research is to estimate the differences in sales levels between businesses owned by individuals who self-identify as Indigenous (IE) and those who do not (NIE), as well as between males (ME) and females (WE), and how this intersection may affect their sales levels. To accomplish this, an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is used to compare the means between the groups analyzed, and Tukey’s Honestly Significant Differences (HSD) is used to determine the magnitude and direction of these differences. The results of the study show that indigenous-owned businesses have sales that are 26% lower than the general average, while women-owned businesses have sales that are 70.6% lower in the same comparison. In addition, businesses run by indigenous women have sales that are 93.5% lower on average. These findings suggest that the challenges faced by entrepreneurs reflect the structural inequalities observed in other areas of society and highlight the need for public and private policies focused on reducing these gaps.
