Special Issue Information

We are seeing a surge in the need for new electronic materials, devices, and manufacturing approaches, driven by the rapid pace at which AI, IoT, edge computing, and other next-generation communication technologies are evolving. With this in mind, the present Special Issue is proposed as a venue for research that is truly at the forefront. Our focus is on advanced semiconductor materials, nanoelectronics, non-volatile memory, energy harvesting, machine learning, and micro/nanofabrication methods that enable intelligent, high-performance, and energy-conscious systems.

Readers will find work covering a range of subjects, from MOS and novel memory technologies to RRAM based on oxide or two-dimensional materials, as well as thin-film deposition and lithography. We also cover device modeling, testing, and reliability, as well as the integration strategies required for tomorrow’s computing architectures. Whether you have an original study, review, short communication, or perspective piece to offer, we want to hear from you if it addresses the materials and device technologies underpinning AI, neuromorphic, or beyond-CMOS applications.
