Language, Education and Social Policy Review (LESPR)

The Editorial Office is pleased to announce the official launch of Language, Education and Social Policy Review (LESPR), an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research on the relationships among language, education, public policy, and social development.

Why LESPR?

In an increasingly interconnected world, language plays a far greater role than simply facilitating communication. Language shapes educational opportunities, influences access to public services, affects labor market participation, and contributes to social inclusion and civic engagement. As societies become more linguistically and culturally diverse, language-related challenges have emerged as important policy concerns for governments, educational institutions, and communities worldwide.

Issues such as multilingual education, migration, linguistic rights, educational equity, digital language learning, and language access to public services are becoming central to discussions of social justice and sustainable development. Yet research addressing these issues often remains fragmented across linguistics, education, sociology, and public policy.

LESPR was established to provide an international platform that brings these perspectives together and promotes scholarly dialogue on the role of language in shaping educational outcomes, social integration, and public policy effectiveness.

Our Mission

The mission of LESPR is to advance evidence-based research that examines language as a cultural resource, an educational medium, and a policy instrument.

The journal seeks to:

  • Promote interdisciplinary research connecting language, education, and social policy;

  • Advance understanding of linguistic diversity and social inclusion;

  • Support evidence-based language and education policymaking;

  • Explore the social implications of emerging language technologies;

  • Foster international dialogue on language rights, equity, and sustainable development.

Commitment to Academic Excellence

LESPR is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly integrity, transparency, and academic rigor. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-anonymized peer-review process conducted by experts in relevant disciplines.

The journal welcomes contributions from established researchers, emerging scholars, educators, policymakers, public administrators, and community practitioners. Particular encouragement is given to comparative and international studies that offer insights into language-related challenges across diverse cultural and policy contexts.

Join the Global Conversation

Language lies at the heart of education, inclusion, participation, and development. Through LESPR, we aim to create a vibrant international forum for advancing research that informs policy, improves educational practice, and promotes more equitable and inclusive societies.

We warmly invite scholars and practitioners worldwide to contribute to this new academic endeavor.
