Significance and Application of Psycholinguistics on English Teaching

Psycholinguistics is a discipline of the combination of psychology and linguistic, which is to study how psychology can influence the teaching and learning of language acquisition, and how to learn and teach language more effectively and better by means of psychology elements. Through the study of psycholinguistics, we can know how people use language or what the mental process a person use in producing and understanding language, which can help us to conduct teaching in a scientific way. In this paper, significance and application of psycholinguistics is discussed in some aspects of English teaching, which are development of speech and production, language acquisition, text and discourse, and bilingualism.

An Analysis of Grammar in Chinese Students’ Narrative Writings in English Class from the Perspective of SFL

Writing is a significant part of English teaching and learning, so it is worth analyzing and discussing. For middle school students in China, English writing takes up a noticeable proportion of 12.5 percent in the entrance examination for high schools, and it is indispensable in English learning. Moreover, it can effectively promote the internalization of students’ English knowledge and help test learners’ use of syntactic structure and words. Therefore, writing is as important as listening, speaking, and reading. However, writing is considered to be an obstacle to English education in China, and it seems to be overlooked in middle school English teaching compared to other major English skills. Chinese students’ actual writing ability falls far short of the requirements and standards. The purpose of the study is to identify grammar issues in Chinese middle school students’ English compositions from the perspective of Systematic Functional Linguistic. The study also aims to explore the process in which the teacher teaches writing and then provide some suggestions to help middle school teachers know how to model writing teaching and teach grammar so as to help students improve their writing abilities.

Practical Application Study of Applied Linguistics in College English Teaching

Since entering the new era, in the face of the changing international situation, China is faced with both development opportunities and challenges. How to cultivate English talents to meet the needs of national development and national rejuvenation in the new era has become an urgent problem to be solved in English education in China. The application of applied linguistics to English teaching in colleges and universities plays a positive role in promoting the innovation of English teaching concept and teaching mode in colleges and universities and the improvement of teaching efficiency and quality. This requires college English teachers to master the relevant concepts and connotations of applied linguistics, and clarify the content scope of applied linguistics and the value of practical application. This paper will focus on the analysis of the current situation of English teaching in colleges and universities, and on the basis of the concept and scope of applied linguistics, put forward some practical application strategies, hoping to provide a reference for the innovation of teaching mode and teaching methods of English curriculum in colleges and universities.

Teaching Measures of English Linguistics in Colleges and Universities Under the Background of Ecolinguistics

With the advent of the era of globalized economy, more attention should be paid to the training mode of comprehensive English literacy in colleges and universities in teaching. Therefore, how to cultivate and improve students' higher-level teaching methods in the context of ecolinguistics, so as to improve the quality of English teaching, is the current focus of English teaching in colleges and universities. Linguistic issues and its influence on jurisprudential differences in Islamic law

Islamic law is characterized by a combination of stability and flexibility—stability in principles and fundamentals, and flexibility in branches and details. One of the most important manifestations of the flexibility of Islamic law is the space it provides for “ijtihad” (independent reasoning) for those who have met the necessary qualifications and fulfilled the required characteristics. The scholars of the Islamic community have understood the message of Islam and excelled in deriving rulings, using their sound reasoning. They differed in their search for truth, with each “mujtahid” (jurist) adhering to and defending a particular legal proof. The diversity of opinions in branches of law is a legitimate matter that arose for various reasons, either due to differences in the narration of “hadith” (Prophetic traditions), foundational legal principles, or the Arabic language and its related issues. The linguistic issues that contribute to differences among jurists are numerous and can be categorized into two types: lexical issues and grammatical issues. Among the most important lexical issues are homonymy (words with multiple meanings), opposites, and figurative language. Some of the key grammatical issues include disagreements about case markings, the meanings of particles, and whether an adjective refers to one or two described elements that are governed by different agents. In terms of methodology: This paper is based on the incomplete inductive approach by collecting scientific material from a specific number of jurisprudential sources in which disagreement is evident in jurisprudential rulings. The Scientific material is then classified according to its relationship to linguistic issues and is divided into two sections: the first section is devoted to lexical issues, and the second section is devoted to syntax issues. In terms of intent: The article aims to highlight the influence of jurisprudential rulings on linguistic perception, and the interaction of jurisprudence in the Arabic language.
