This study uses dynamic capability theory and a resource-based view to examine whether intellectual capital (human, relational, and structural capital) mediates entrepreneurial leadership and innovation success. Drawing on data from 422 senior-level employees working in Peruvian I.T. companies, the proposed relationships were analyzed using SmartPLS 4. Entrepreneurial leadership was found to foster employees’ innovative performance through the mediating role of human capital, relational capital, and structural capital. Practically, businesses often rely on innovation for survival and growth, so they should consider entrepreneurial leadership to create intellectual capital (human capital, relational capital and structural capital) for innovation performance. Businesses should provide entrepreneurial training that emphasizes role modeling intellectual capital and encourages employees to recognize and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. With significantly limited research, the study contributes by investigating the interrelationship of entrepreneurial leadership, intellectual capital, and innovation performance. The study contributes to the Resource Based View and Dynamic Capability Theory by demonstrating how entrepreneurial leadership contributes to innovation performance through human capital, relational capital, and structural capital.
Purpose: Drawing on the Resource Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT), the study seeks to investigate the impact of Big Data Analytics (BDA) on Project Success (PS) through Knowledge Sharing (KS) and Innovation Performance (IPF). Design/Methodology: Survey data were collected from 422 senior-level employees in IT companies, and the proposed relationships were assessed using the SMART-PLS 4 Structural Equation Modeling tool. Findings: The results show a positive and significant indirect effect of big data analytics on project success through knowledge sharing. IPF significantly mediated the relationship between BDA and PS in IT companies. Originality/Value: This study is one of the first to consider big data analytics as an essential antecedent of project success. With little or no research on the interrelationship of big data analytics, knowledge sharing, innovation performance, and organizational performance, the study investigates the mediating role of knowledge sharing and innovation performance on the relationship between BDA and PS. Implications: This study, grounded in RBV and DCT, investigates BDA’s influence on PS through KS and IPF. Implications encompass BDA’s strategic role, KS and IPF mediation, and practical and research-based insights. Findings guide BDA integration, collaborative cultures, and sustained success.
In the current competitive global marketplace, innovation is key for high-tech firms to thrive. Open innovation offers a promising approach, but its effectiveness remains unclear. Therefore, this research explored the connection between open innovation, knowledge management capability, and innovation performance within high-tech firms. We used a mediation approach to highlight the central role of knowledge management capability in the relationship between open innovation and innovation performance. We used a survey questionnaire approach to collect data from the 462 employees of high-tech firms on open innovation, knowledge management capability, and innovation performance using a convenient sampling technique. We used partial least square structural equations modeling through PLS-SEM statistics. Results indicated that open innovation has a direct, positive and significant connection with innovation performance. Similarly, the current research serves as a pioneering exploration into mediation analysis, highlighting the mediating role of knowledge management capability that influences the relationship between open innovation and innovation performance. Empirical studies offer valuable insights for leaders of high-tech firms, guiding them to identify effective knowledge management practices and determine the ideal extent of open innovation to boost innovation performance. The current study reveals novel insights into the benefits of knowledge management capability in enhancing open innovation efforts within firms. This research provides valuable implications and future research directions.
Background: In the context of organizational innovation frameworks, knowledge plays a crucial role in sparking new ideas and bolstering innovation capabilities. Insights gathered from various sources can act as a catalyst for generating fresh concepts and pushing boundaries. Moreover, the effectiveness of innovation within an organization can be influenced by factors like employee retention and strategies in human resource management, which can either enhance or hinder the correlation between knowledge accumulation and innovation outcomes. The employee innovation performance involves a series of tasks carried out by individuals who not only possess knowledge and skills but also demonstrate consistency, active involvement in decision-making, intrinsic motivation, and a flair for innovation. Objective: This study endeavors to provide valuable insights into how non-standard service relationships, psychological contracts, and knowledge sharing practices can collectively impact and drive innovation in the green manufacturing sector. Arrangement: In the investigation of employee innovation performance within the development of the green manufacturing industry, the focus will be on exploring non-standard service relationships, psychological contracts, and knowledge sharing. These three specific facets play a pivotal role in shaping the innovation landscape in organizations operating within the realm of sustainable manufacturing. The arrangement of this study will begin by examining the impact of non-standard service relationships on employee innovation performance. By dissecting unconventional service models and their correlation with innovation behaviors, we aim to uncover novel insights that can fuel sustainable innovation practices in the green manufacturing sector. Method: The study adopts a quantitative methodology to collect data, concentrating on a group of employees across eight distinct outsourcing firms. This selection results in a comprehensive sample of 299 participants. For the analysis and manipulation of the data, the research utilizes Sructural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) software. This choice facilitates a meticulous and structured analysis of the data gathered, ensuring precision in the research findings. Results: The research findings reveal a significant and positive influence of psychological contracts on the propensity for knowledge sharing among employees. This suggests that organizations that emphasize establishing strong psychological contracts are likely to nurture a work environment conducive to the free exchange of knowledge and ideas, thus promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Additionally, the data points to a noteworthy positive correlation between the act of knowledge sharing and the ability of an organization to offer unique, non-standard services. This underscores the role of knowledge sharing as a catalyst for innovation, indicating that organizations encouraging such exchanges are in a better position to innovate and provide services that adapt to the changing demands of customers and stakeholders. Conclusion: The research underscores the critical but nuanced role of knowledge sharing in driving employee innovation, especially when contrasted with its pronounced impact on developing non-standard services. It highlights the necessity for organizations to create environments conducive to the free exchange of ideas, fostering innovation. The findings also reveal the significant influence of innovative service offerings and strong psychological contracts on boosting employee creativity and service quality, respectively. This study investigates the impact of perceived innovative leadership on team innovation performance, with innovation climate acting as a mediating variable. A quantitative research approach, including a survey of team members across various industries, was used to collect data. Analysis through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) reveals that perceived innovative leadership significantly positively influences team innovation performance, with innovation climate partially mediating this relationship. The findings emphasize the critical role of innovative leadership and a positive innovation climate in fostering organizational innovation, offering valuable insights for management practices. In the context of a globalized economic environment, businesses are facing an increasing number of environmental challenges, prompting them not only to pursue economic benefits but also to focus on environmental protection and social responsibility. Green supply chain management (GSCM) and green innovation have become key strategies for enterprises aiming for sustainable development. This study explores the impact of green supply chain practices on green innovation performance, with a focus on how knowledge management and organizational integration serve as mediating variables in this relationship. Grounded in the resource-based view (RBV) and knowledge-based view (KBV) theories, this research employs surveys and in-depth interviews with companies across various industries, combined with the analysis of structural equation modeling, to reveal the complex relationship between GSCM practices, knowledge management capabilities, levels of organizational integration, and green innovation performance. The results show that GSCM practices significantly enhance corporate green innovation performance through effective knowledge management and organizational integration. These findings enrich the theories of GSCM and green innovation, providing practical guidance for enterprises on how to enhance green innovation performance through strengthening knowledge management and organizational integration. Finally, this study discusses its limitations and suggests possible directions for future research, such as exploring the differences in findings across different industry backgrounds and examining other potential mediating or moderating variables.
