A new method has been proposed to estimate top heat losses of vertical flat plate liquid/air collectors with double glazing. Empirical relations have been developed for the temperatures of glass covers, thus facilitating the calculation of individual heat transfer coefficients. The values of individual heat transfer coefficients therefore obtained can be used in the proposed analytical equation for the estimation of the top heat loss coefficient of the vertical collector with double glazing. The analytical equation has been developed for collector tilt angle of 60 to 90 degrees, plate temperature of 323 K to 423 K, absorber coating emittance of 0.1 to 0.95, air gap spacing of 20 mm to 50mm between the plate and inner glass cover, air gap spacing of 20 mm to 50mm between glass covers, wind heat transfer coefficient of 5 W/m2K to 30 W/m2K, and ambient temperature of 263K to 313K. The accuracy of the analytical equation has been validated for the said range of variables in comparison to numerical solutions, and the values of the top heat loss coefficient are found to be within 2.5 percent compared to numerical solutions.
Work is reported on thermal-induced redshifts of quantum particle plasmon. The redshifts are predicted to be caused indirectly by the quantum size effects. The particles are enlarged when temperature increases, and consequently, quantum size effects modify the plasmon but not the band structure. It has been modeled for metallic quantum particles. The results are also instructive to other quantum systems, such as complex molecules. Every electron inside the quantum particle is taken into account. Tiny quantum size effects are harvested, and the redshift becomes significant. Experimental evidence is also given for the spectral redshift. Faujasite zeolites were synthesized. Optical spectroscopy has been carried out, and the resulting spectra showed a significant redshift with the increase in temperature.
In order to assess the effects of e-learning integration on university performance and competitiveness, this study uses Oman as a model for the Gulf. Analyzing how e-learning impacts technology integration, diversity, community engagement, infrastructure, financial strength, institutional reputation, student outcomes, research and innovation, and academic quality can reveal whether universities are effectively incorporating digital tools to enhance teaching and learning. By offering a framework for comparable institutions in the Gulf area, this study provides insights into optimizing e-learning techniques to improve university performance and competitiveness. This study uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a dataset comprising 424 participants and 55 indicators, analyzed using both measurement and structural models. The results of the hypothesis testing, which indicate that e-learning has a positive effect on factors like student outcomes (B = 0.080, t = 2.859, P = 0.004) and institutional reputation (B = 0.058, t = 2.770, P = 0.005), lend credence to these beliefs. Omani universities need culturally sensitive e-learning, stronger institutional support, and training to enhance diversity (B = 0.002, t = 0.456, P = 0.647) and technology integration (B = −0.009, t = 0.864, P = 0.387). These improvements increase the visibility of Gulf institutions abroad, attracting the best students from all around the world and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere. Financially speaking, e-learning offers reasonably priced solutions such as digital libraries and virtual laboratories, which are especially beneficial in a region where education plays a major role in socioeconomic development.
The pressing need to redefine the tourism industry's relationship with nature and local communities has never been more critical. Ecotourism, as a paradigm of sustainable travel, holds transformative potential—not only for preserving our planet's fragile ecosystems but also for fostering local cultural and economic development. In this context, the integration of circular economy principles offers innovative pathways to enhance sustainability across the tourism sector. The application of circular economy frameworks in tourism not only reduces environmental impact but also enhances economic viability by creating closed-loop systems. My interest in this topic stems from a personal conviction: Tourism should leave a positive mark, one that enriches rather than diminishes the destinations we visit. This study delves into how the hotel industry can align itself with ecotourism principles by embracing innovative, sustainable practices that minimize environmental impact while delivering authentic, high-quality experiences for travelers. Through the lens of green energy, resource optimization, and cultural integration, the research demonstrates that sustainability is both an ethical responsibility and a pathway to long-term competitiveness in tourism. By supporting local economies and protecting natural heritage, the industry can shift from being a passive observer of environmental degradation to a proactive steward of change. This work serves as a call to action for stakeholders: Our choices today will define the landscapes and cultural legacies available to future generations.
Formation of the latest scientific and methodological principles and the determination of the most important directions of the paradigm of the analysis of artistic creativity and text have been represented as actual problems of the theory of modern Kazakh literary criticism. The purpose of the work is to consider and analyze the modern concepts of Kazakh literary criticism, to evaluate the contribution of scientists from the period of independence of Kazakhstan in the development of theoretical analysis and interpretation of the artistic originality of national literature. The article discusses new trends in the theory of Kazakh literary criticism, changes in methodology, which are due to the leading positions of world literary criticism. In this regard, the article offers an analytical review of the main scientific and theoretical studies in the field of literary criticism, defines the evolution of the concepts of scientific and theoretical thought, identifies the principles and main aspects of the study of literature in a new way, shows certain achievements in close relationship with historical stages, as well as tasks future research; literary-theoretical and philosophical-aesthetic searches in modern Kazakh literary criticism are evaluated, the prospects for its development are determined.
