Transit-oriented development is a concept that focuses on developing areas in and around transit nodes to create added value. The concept concentrates on integrating mass public transport networks with non-motorized modes of transport, minimizing the usage of motorized vehicles, and fostering the growth of dense, mixed-use areas with medium to high spatial intensity. This research examines the effects of altering the business model to create Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in Jakarta, contrasting it with PT Moda Raya Transports (PT MRT). We collected data by conducting in-depth interviews with experts and distributing questionnaires to seven respondents who work at this We used the Business Model Canvas (BMC) to identify business models and the internal resources needed for the implementation process. process. The Science and Technology Innovation Center holds a pivotal position in the national science and technology innovation system, and a scientific evaluation of the “Sci-tech Innovation Center” will guide its construction direction. This study found the advantages and disadvantages of the four cities through comparison; Hence improvement suggestions were proposed for the weaknesses of the four cities. There are two main paths for the government to drive technology innovation: STI (Science and Technology Innovation) mode and DUI (Doing, Using, Interacting) mode. With the aid of the evaluation index system of the Sci-tech Innovation Center, this article uses fuzzy sets, rough sets and fuzzy dynamic clustering methods to comprehensively evaluate the effects of driving technology innovation in the four cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The results found that Shenzhen has a significant effect in DUI, and Beijing has a significant effect in STI. The choice of path is related to the abundance of innovation resources.
This study investigates the intricate relationship between a nation’s GDP growth rate and three key variables: the number of granted patents, research and development (R&D) expenditure, and education expenditure. The purpose of the research is to discern the impact of these factors on GDP growth rates. Drawing on theoretical frameworks, including Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS), Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS), and Canonical Correlation Regression (CCR) techniques, the paper employs a robust methodological approach to unveil insights into the dynamics of economic growth. Contrary to conventional assumptions, the results reveal a negative correlation between R&D expenditure and GDP growth rate. In contrast, the number of patents granted and education expenditure shows a positively significant effect on the GDP growth rate, underscoring the pivotal roles of intellectual property creation and education investment in fostering economic growth. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of a nuanced understanding of these relationships for policymakers. The research’s implications highlight the need for balanced investments in innovation and education. The originality and value of this study lie in its unique findings challenging established beliefs about the impact of R&D expenditure on economic growth.
As an important part of modern higher education, this topic mainly studies the construction of innovative teachers' team in local applied colleges and universities. After analyzing the problem, we found that there are many problems in the construction of innovative teachers in local applied colleges and universities, such as the lack of effective cultivation mechanism and the lack of corresponding incentives. Therefore, this paper aims to put forward some suggestions on how to establish innovative teachers' team, in order to provide a reference basis for the development of innovative teachers' team in local applied colleges and universities.
Our previous research on social innovation examined the process, levels, and stakeholders of social innovation, as well as its relationship with technical and technological innovation. The present study analyzes the spatial image created by the social innovation potential and investigates its relationship with the economic power of the neighborhoods. The most important conclusion of the study is that the basic territorial inequality dimensions are the same in the case of both the social innovation potential and the district’s economic strength. The difference is primarily to be found in concentration, as economic power is much more concentrated in the capital and the most important economic and tourism centers than the social innovation potential. We can therefore state that developments based on social innovation can solve a lot of the highly concentrated spatial structure in Hungary.
